The best Spanish and Cheese bread I've had to date. They cook it fresh everyday.

It was so good that I ordered 8 boxes to take home back in Manila to give to my family.

While waiting for my take-out, I ordered a cup of hot chocolate and a Mango smoothie, it was good too.

I'll be back here for sure.

Woke up early yesterday to fetch my brother from Bulacan to his office in Pampanga. Before heading home to Manila, he told my father over the phone that we will have a quick breakfast somewhere.

Hmmm. I was clueless, my father said it was 'LA something'. Knowing my brother, I knew he wouldn't tell me where or what it is until we get there. If there is something common with me and my brother, that is we both love to eat! And we make sure to bring each other in places that's truly worth a visit. So yeah, I was so excited!

After picking him up, we stopped over at an ATM center and infront of it is the LA Bakeshop! Next to it is yet another famous delicacy shop in Pampanga which is Susies Cuisine.

Looking outside of the shop, I was a little disappointed that got me thinking..oh, so this is LA. 128533128533128533. The store looked old and tiny. Parking was also a little hard because there was no enough space. Only 2 vehicles can be parked in front of it.

The saying is true though, do not judge a book by its cover. I felt guilty there. The very first step I made before twisting the door knob gave a magical feeling instantly. The stone made floor seemed like a setting in a fictional movie like Hansel and Gretel to me.

Upon entering, you would see the pastries, other pampanga goodies, and the cashier right away. But I walked pass by it when I saw their dining area. There was only a couple eating by the time we went. The wooden chairs and tables complemented well with the interior of the place. The lightings, the antique wooden displays, and the ambiance gave us a very rustic morning vibe. The bottle display gave the restaurant this elegant, and classic look at the same time. Look at the small pathway to the restroom and get the chills! See the clock? I'm obsessed!!! The place is so vintage and homey!!! 128571128571128571 Next to it is their kitchen where you can smell all the good stuff they bake! What else could I ask for? Hmmmm!!!

Okay. Sorry. Too much of the place. Let's now talk about their baked goodies. Best feeling? Eating a freshly baked bitesize cheesebread while it's hot! With the whole fam. 128525 UGGGGH. I suddenly missed home where 3 pcs of hot pandesal and a hot chocolate is enough. The cheesebread that is being sold Php6 a piece, was so cheesy, and crunchy and has a combination of salty and sweet taste. I forgot how many I've eaten. We also ordered the Spanish Bread (Php7 per piece) and the Quezo Roll. They are all equally good, but the Cheesebread was my favorite of all. The Quezo Roll was almost a dessert because of it's topping that is close to a melted pastillas. It was a little too sweet to finish a piece, but I tell you, your Php25 is worth it. Real slices of cheese are inside it! They usually served the Quezo Roll cold and wrapped, but I managed to score one that came right away from the oven. Heeeeeeeaveeeen! It was sooooo fluffy and yummy indeed!!! 128525128525128525 See the second to the last photo which my younger brother photo-bombed! 128545128544128520

We paired the pastries with a cup of Chocolate Batirol that costs Php50 per order. It was served with hot milk separately which made the drink more creamy, and tasty. I can still recall the smell of it! Waaaaah! Huhuhu. I loved the strong bitterness of the freshly made Chocolate Batirol. ( I recommend this sa mga bitter jan! #lol! Haha). I suddenly missed Baguio too that I didn't want to leave and I honestly wouldnt mind driving all the way from Manila to have a breakfast here.

I also noticed their atique on top of the entrance door, where I could literally live! Haha. There's a stair going up! It looks like a stock area for their other goodies. I won't mind living up there!!! Haha. Scroll to see the pic! I was not suprised at all to see this familiar flag displayed on one side of the cashier, it's the looloo's foldable cardboard stand! It was like reminding me not to forget to post a review. Lol!

The crews were attentive and accommodating with all our requests.

Aside from breads, they also sell other delicacies for pasalubong like Peanuts, Cashews, Chicharon (glad I surpassed the temptation haha), spreads, and many more! It's right in front of the cashier so you don't have any excuse not to grab anything!!! Haha.

I took home Quezo Roll, Spanish Bread and of course, Cheese Bread!!! 128514128514128514 Extra paper bag is Php1 by the way. My father was tempted to try the Pandesal Cookie displayed at the counter. It was Php2 per piece I think. It was like a Polvoron Pandesal. Haha! It does not taste anything, but like pandesal. Not sweet, nor salty. The cube cut made it looked cute though! I guess, that's the reason my father was tempted. Haha!

Their menu is dominantly made of Chinese food, but they also have meals for breakfast. We already had breakfast at my brothers place so our tummies couldnt afford to try their rice meals anymore. But I would love to have their Smoked Bacon and Egg next time!!! My brother mentioned that the owner has another restaurant that is also a must-try. I forgot the name, but don't worry, I'll make sure to write a review about it!!! Sorry for the so many photos. I couldn't help but take pictures all over the place! All my hesitations at the beginning were all replaced with such great vibe!

Before finally leaving, my elder brother and I dropped by Susies to check out what they offer. He said the backed mac was to die for, but since I was so full, I decided to put in my must try list in the mean time. I swear I will be back!!! Thanks to my brother for sponsoring this another Pampanga restaurant review! Haha. All in all, it was a wonderful morning in such a perfect place with the people I love. I couldn't be more grateful!

L.A. Bakeshop: Home of the Original Cheese Bread. Baking since 1985.

This humble bakeshop in Pampanga never fails to live up to its promise of baking tasteful breads.
My childhood's classic favorite, of course, is their prominent cheese bread. Nothing about its taste has changed since the first time I tried it. I have been eating this creamy and soft bread for about 10+ years and still counting. I can eat 40 pcs. (1 box) in one day! HAHA

So glad that it has opened more branches here in Pampanga from just having a stall in a public market. This brand deserves all this success. Hope it continues to share happiness (hopefully even outside Pampanga).

Thank you, looloo, for reaching this wonderful bakeshop! 128523

I grew up with this bread, when i was a kid my grand ma used to ask me buy cheese bread in the wet market of san fernando (main store), by then they only cost P1.50!

"Love at first bite." Yeah that's what happened when i first tried their cheese bread and spanish bread. Their so yummy i even ate them in between rice and ulam! I only got to eat one piece each then coz it was my boss', so the next day we went to San Fernando all the way from Bataan and bought myself a box of spanish bread. Too sad their cheese breads were sold out that time. Cravings unsatisfied, i asked a friend who's in the area to buy me another box of spanish and cheese bread after a couple of days. Yeah they're addicting as that. Not to mention how super affordable they are! :) 128077

My friend got me a pasalubong from Pampanga when he had a shoot at Lakeshore the other day.

The Cheese Breads were so yummy. Cheesy, soft and melts in your mouth. It tasted better when heated and with a cup of coffee. 128537

I was told that their Spanish Bread is good too. I hope Jaizen T would bring me one of this days. Haha
