La Chari'ca is located in the city center and also just five minutes away from the Puerto Princesa airport. You can travel by van or shuttle going there. From the inn, you can hire a tricycle to take you to other establishments in the city.

Upon arrival, the manager and the receptionist warmly greeted us. They also offered us fruit shakes to cool off the summer heat.

Their rooms are decorated with beautiful different handicraft pieces that depict Palawan. But in terms of size, don't expect anything grand. And though the rooms have air conditioning, they lack ventilation. There is cable television and a refrigerator though. Housekeeping is also fair; they stock up on bath essentials and tidy up the room often.

The best thing about La Chari'ca is their food. Like any other place in Palawan, seafood is their specialty. Their 'lamayo na danggit' is the best! They also serve other Filipino dishes that taste like home. Their head chef is really friendly and accommodating too. For a low price, you can ask her to buy the ingredients and cook whatever Filipino dish she's familiar with. Or you can buy the ingredients yourself and ask her to cook for you.

La Chari'ca is a better alternative to the more expensive hotels in the city since you'll be spending most of your time outside. Security is also not a big problem. They've even accommodated corporate groups.

At La Chari'ca, the accommodation, the staff service, the hospitality, the food, and the price certainly give you your money's worth.
