Was curious to try the place out. The wife and I were hungry so we decided to eat merienda here.
We ordered Jamon and Brie sandwich, bacon sandwich one piece of white chocolate churros.
The sandwiches were very good but the churro were cold and soggy. I'm guessing my wife expected hot churros and warm white chocolate dip.
I personally found the place very expensive, cost more than 500 pesos. One sandwich was priced at 290. Would have been better if it was served with a small side salad or chips. But oh well at least the sandwiches were great!

They serve sangria! Yay! It matched so well with my fave honey and chorizo churros 9786️ of course we also got their signature churros with the chocolate dip. The chocolate sauce has remained consistently thick the last few times I was here and with just the right amount of bitter and sweet.
Less one star though cos I just can't get over the pay as you order scheme, it seems so out of place for such a nice establishment. Fast food ba to 128516 on the other hand, they allowed us to bring in a cake for our friends, cheetos from Lawsons and even my favorite degz coffee so thanks guys!

Got free taste of their churros covered in dark chocolate sprinkled with sea salt 128523 And I think it was bec. I was honest. Hahaha. Had the privilege of talking to the owner who asked me about their food. We tried their bbq version of a toast (forgot the name 9996️️) and it wasn't tangy enough for me. It actually lacked that so yeah...got a free churro bec. of that?

‪Hello Alabang! Yes, I am back for a series of meeting today. After my lunch meeting at Molito Complex, I hopped to the newest Commercial Center of Alabang Town Center to try La Maripili. La Maripili is a Spanish Restaurant that offers churros as their main products. Aside from churros they also sells sandwiches and different flavors of ice cream.‬

‪You can see the white restaurant made of woods outside. When I enter the place the warm lights ang sun lights brighten the spacious restaurant. Few customers where dining inside. Until I reached the counter and order Small Churros for Php60.00 (Other sizes are Medium for Php120.00 and Large Php180.00), I add Hot Chocolate Dip for Php110.00. I also tried their Flavored Churros, I got Sweet Filling Churros with Catalan for Php60.00 and with Dulce de Leche for Php60.00. I've waited 5 minutes before my order arrived. Of course they served drinking water first.‬

‪"Matabang yung Churros and kulang sa sweetness yung Chocolate Dip... Medyo Bitter. Same with Flavored Churros with Dulce de Leche, it's bland although the Flavored Churros with Catalan taste good naman."‬

‪La Maripili is located at ATC Corporate Center, Ayala-Alabang, Muntinlupa City.‬

Make the most out of every day.

Since I was already in Alabang, why not visit the churreria I've been eyeing on since it opened? Who wouldn't want to hit 2 birds with one stone, right? So after our lunch at Butamaru, we headed to Alabang Town Center for my dessert.

We parked and just walked our way to ATC Corporate Center. The best way to get there is to take the Madrigal Avenue exit of the mall (if you came from the mall itself).

We entered the place and it was cold and empty. After ordering, we sat down and patiently waited for our churros to be served. A few minutes after, a sever arrived with a small pitcher of water and some paper cups.

After around 10 minutes, my order of small classic churros (P60) and a cup of hot chocolate dip (P110) arrived. The dip comes in one size only, and I think it will suffice for an order of their largest servings.

I liked their churros. It's petite size was just right for me. It also wasn't bland so dipping it in just a little hot chocolate worked well for me. The hot chocolate tasted like it was made from cocoa powder. It was good, but I appreciated the churros more when I dipped it in less chocolate.

This place is fantastic! The ambiance is simplistic yet dainty. Despite having big doors and windows, the shop is well airconditioned and is a perfect place to be in a scorching hot weather.

This is dangerous. I think I'm going to crave for their churros. I also can't wait to try other items from their menu like their flavored churros. I am a bit intrigued.

Finally tried this out with my gal pals and I must say, their churros are good! Best with the hot choco to add some pizzaz. The churro itself was crispy. The hot choco had the right consistency that really goes well with the churro. Perfect afternoon snack at the town!

There was something missing on the taste of the churros though the place was really nice, we ordered the 18pcs of churros but we did not even eat half of it.

Was finally able to go during the daytime and get a decently lit picture! 128513 as per Clarissa P's suggestion, I tried the chorizo (chorizo ba?) with honey and prosciowith stewed tomatoes 127813. Both were around 60 each, ok Na for a snack I think! Both were pretty good especially the one with honey.
I ordered another thing na parang weird, i ordered the mango flavored one pero when it arrived, frozen sya? As in matigas! When I asked ganun daw talaga 🤔 anyways I didn't like it 128539

I promised my sister that we would try the latest Churros store at ATC. Since we already bought an Ice Cream Sandwich, we considered this as our second dessert. The store is located outside of the main ATC building, a separate building just across Molito (the one with the Sykes logo at the top).

The place is a bit dark inside, my sister said that compared to the other stores in that area, this one was not well lighted. Maybe they wanted that kind of ambience, so I cannot argue. But the interior is very nice.

La Maripili is actually a cafe serving sandwiches and other food items aside from the Churros. We ordered the churros for takeout. The price is affordable as well if you would only buy the 6pcs plain churros (Php 60). However, if you'd like the Hot Chocolate sauce, it will cost you another (Php 110).

The churros were not big compared to La Lola Churreria but the churros itself is very crispy in the outside and soft in the inside. The same texture and consistency was there even if we ate it after about 15-20minutes since we bought it. The hot chocolate was thick and it was a very generous amount of dipping sauce. I think it would be maximized well if you ordered the 12pcs. The chocolate was not too sweet and goes well with the churros

Would try it here next time not only for the churros but also for the other food items.

Had high expectations for this one since news was everywhere and the reatau was lovely too but sadly, I was let down by overcooked dough (look at that color) & runny choco dip. We tried the dulce de leche too and it was ok,. The chocolate dip tasted good but nowhere near la lola, esp the consistency. I had this when it was fairly new and I'm still willing to give another try...

Went back to La Maripili on a weekend and made sure that we were there earlier than last time. I wanted to see if time is a factor when it comes to their service and food quality. 5PM and the place wasn't packed but there were a lot of people.

I ordered right away and got their Classic Churros with Chocolate Dip, Churros with Sweet Filling and Churros with Savory Toppings.

I was anxious to see if they have changed their runny chocolate dip into a thick one as described by Chili G. I got 6 pieces Classic Churros plus chocolate dip. Oh wow! The dip was thick indeed! It was super thick, actually, more like chocolate spread in consistency. It still had that dark chocolate taste, not super sweet and some sour notes. I loved it this time! 4oz of this dip was too much for 6 pieces so I needed to get 6 pieces more 128516 The kids loved this combo too!

I got three flavors from their Churros with Sweet Filling selection - Dulce de Leche, Catalan Cream and Coconut Cream. I was eyeing on the one with Chocolate and Chili Mousse too but it wasn't available. Churro was about 4 inches and expensive at 60Php EACH!

> Dulce de Leche was good but wasn't as thick as I wanted it to be. I'd still go for La Lola's Dulce de Leche Xuxos.

> Coconut cream was super good but maybe because I like coconut milk or gata to begin with.

> Catalan Cream was described by one of their staff as bavarian like so I got it BUT it was not!!! It was more like buttery and sweet - like a butterball candy of sort. So, I searched Google and found out that it should be more like Creme Brulee. Urgh!

We also tried the Chorizo with Honey and Jamon Serrano. Hubby and I LOVED the Chorizo with honey! Perfect combination of sweet and savory. Loved how the sweetness of the honey went so well the tasty and salty chorizo slices! So good we went for seconds 128563

The Jamon Serrano was topped with cherry tomato slices. This was just okay. The ham itself was good though overall, nothing wow.

Service was surprisingly top notch during this visit. They were all smiles, friendly and really helpful. Maybe it was a bad day when we visited last time? Or was it because they were already tired, wanting to go home since we went an hour before closing? Anyhow, we had a great time during our second visit.

Dessert stop before going home, we went here after coming from Tagaytay. Arrived at about 9PM and there were just a couple of other occupied tables. So madilim talaga sya 128540 I thought there was just a lighting issue the last time we were there but apparently ganun talaga yung set up 128513 maybe because it's super bright during the day?
Any ways we got 18pcs to share (among 5 people) and 2 chocolate dips. The consistency wasn't as thick as our last visit but still not very runny (which is good).
Service was also okay, our server even gamely took pics of us and refilled our mini water carafes as soon as she sees they are almost empty.
So happy that we have this delish place so near 128522

La Maripili!

I would love to love my visit here, really. The place was sleek and clean with mainly whites here and there. Love the innovation with small wooden crate boxes used as wall installations to add some touch to the place. I loved the warm lighting, the use of tiles, the drop lamps and the touches of greens. The place could pass for a high end restaurant, more than being a Churreria. But then again the name of the game is self-service. Order at the counter, pay and wait.

I got their Classic Churros, Large, for 180Php. Added two chocolate dips for 110php each! Whow! Expensive dip! For a 4oz dip at that price, I thought that it should be worth the price tag!

Learned that they use Sunflower oil to fry their Churros. The staff said that olive oil burns faster so they need to change the oil every 2 days if that's the case that's why they use Sunflower Oil instead. Made me wonder how long before they change the oil then 128563128563128563128563128563

Anyhow, Sunflower Oil is a bit neutral in taste so there wasn't any trace of it from the Churros, unlike olive oil, and the Churros weren't as oily. Crunchy outside, soft and warm inside, perfect! The chocolate dip was ---- errr ---- very runny! It wasn't diluted with milk coz it had this bitter and sour taste which was good. At first it was too sour for me but later on I got used to it. It wasn't super sweet though. But then again it was super runny! I wish it was more thick to properly coat the churros.

Giving this another try coz they might have changed the dip to a thicker one as mentioned by Chili G in her new post. Made this visit weeks ago so maybe, just maybe, they've changes it.

PS.

Staff needs more customer service training coz we went there late and they close at 11PM. Some restaurants would politely ask customers for their last orders and mention that they will be closing in a few. We didn't notice the time because we were chit/chatting. The staff started cleaning then maybe they noticed that customers were not moving so they approached each table saying that they're already closed and have already extended 10mins and that they still need to clean like - "Sir 11PM kasi closing namin nag extend na nga kami ng 10mins maglilinis pa kasi kami" That was okay but you know for a place like this sometimes you're expecting something more. Anyway, this could just be me. Baka pagod na lang tlga sila LOL

Finally got to try this place! After our dinner at 8 cuts, walked around (wow malling!) and did some errands too. Walked all the way to the new wing which isn't that bad, maliit Lang talaga ATC. Sometimes I even walk from molito to fully
Booked! Okay onto the review 128513
We found the place easily enough since there are just a few restos open in that area. Got the regular churros (12 pcs) and their chocolate dip which is an additional 110.
Interiors were nice and tasteful, they were into the upcycling thing I think. Service was also good as the sever readily refilled our mini carafe of water consistently.
Food arrived quickly and we were pleasantly surprised! The churros weren't heady or oily. And the chocolate dip is just perfect! Super thick (as in), it's really worth it. I don't think you can drink it 128517 this is compared to la Lola's dip which has ruined a couple of shirts of mine because it was too watery.
We actually finished the order! Less one star cos Mejo madilim doon sa place? I don't know if there were repairs being made but it was a bit dark, weird Lang 128513 nevertheless, the churros were good. Will try to come back during the day hehe.

Great place plus great food, definitely a must visit! Located at the heart of Alabang Town Center, you'll surely be captivated with the place. Ain't just talking about how great it was furnished, but their good for the pocket but great tasting churros and french toasts. The french toast that we tried wasn't the usual, it tasted like pizza, but still, it was great. The hot chocolate that accompanied our churros was our locally made tableas. Didn't expect it to be a great combination. Totally worth the long drive from QC!
