Went here based on Kirby G's recommendatio. Tried the La Nostra pizza, Spaghetti alla Alia Oglio and Spaghetti alla Carbonara. The pizza was spectacular! One of the best pizzas I've tasted in the Philippines. The crust was crisp, a tad chewy and cooked to perfection. The pasta dishes were very good as well.

Two pizza slices up!

Because some friends are graduating. It's pizza, wine, more wine and more pizza night at the Nostra!

Though Merlot was way better than our second bottle.

Pizza is ALWAYS a good idea!

I've never been an avid fan of pizza but it all changed when I visited Cebu a few weeks back and experienced La Nostra Napoletana in Streetscape Cebu. From the sharp and on point interiors to the awesome Napoletana style brick fire oven (they made this from scratch) and to the awesome service, everything was just excellent and well planned.

Each pizza is hand-made with fresh ingredients that only passes the strict standards of Napoli (the flour and the oils are even imported straight from there). Each pizza is only cooked for 90 seconds (as the heat from the brick fire is intense and it cooks it that fast) hence you won't wait too long. In about 10 minutes from your order, you'll be greeted by an awesome cooked crust smell that is nothing short of amazing. The crust is perfectly crisp on the outside while still soft and chewy on the inside. The cheeses and meats are perfectly cooked and it all blends together for an awesome pizza experience.

But what sets their pizza from other napoletana pizzas? Behind every great pizza is a passionate pizzaiolo! 127829

Mike Cancio, owner and pizzaiolo of La Nostra Pizzeria Napoletana, is the first and only 'Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana' accredited restaurant owner in the Philippines. So whenever you bite into any Neapolitan Pizza from his resto, you know you're getting the same quality and taste as the pizzas in Naples, Italy.

Here's a fun fact: all pizzas in La Nostra are hand made (Mike is very "hands on" hahaha) and whenever he's not making pizza, he's training like crazy because he's a triathlete. #IkawNa 128514

You've definitely got to try these 2 awesome pizzas:
127829LaNostra Pizza
thin crust pizza with basil, Gorgonzola, and some of their home made ham. This is just perfect 128076🏼
127829 Margherita pizza
If you're a minimalist and want the lure taste of the bread, the tomato and it's perfect zest, and the awesome cheese and greens, then this is the perfect pizza for you. Simple yet delicious.

Ps: pair your pizza with some of their good wine. We paired our pizza with white wine which their head waiter recommended it was just perfect.

Definitely worth a visit when you're in Cebu!128076🏼

This ooey gooey Quattro Formaggio is probably one of the best four-cheese combos I've ever tried; A combo of Fior di Latte, Gorgonzola, Ricotta and Asiago cheese drizzled with extra-virgin olive oil and basil leaves. I also got to try the Margherita which was also very delicious. The tomato sauce had just the right zest and taste to go with some fresh basil and cheese. When it got to our table my eyes just lit up and I thought that these are the kinds of pizzas you would see on Food Network.

The key component in the pizza is the crust. A thin but chewy crust with puffed up edges that's slightly burnt and a really soft and almost raw center. Apparently this is how Italians eat their pizza and this style of pizza is called Neapolitan that originates from Naples in Italy. This restaurant is one of two in the country that are certified to make this style. I heard that they ship all their ingredients; from flour to sauces to even the water all the way from Italy and the head chef had to train in Naples for about a year before coming to Cebu. They also had to ship their stone brick oven all the way from Italy. So if you're questioning this place's authenticity, don't. 128517

A lot of people may feel that the pizzas are overpriced because they're small and not super loaded with ingredients, but I think it's cos we're all so accustomed to the American style of pizzas like from Pizza Hut, Sbarro or S&R.

I got to try their Nutella pizza that really looks good in the pictures but in reality, it's just crust with nutella and icing sugar and i thought they would put their own twist to it. I wouldn't advise to get this though because you can basically make this in your own home. All in all a really good restaurant with a perfect Italian atmosphere and a good place to take someone on a first date. 128540
