My first night in QC, I was craving Mexican food. My cousin suggested for us to visit this place because this was his go-to spot for decent tacos.

When looking at the menu, I saw that they had lengua tacos. Unfortunately, it wasn't available at that time. 128533 We opted not then for their beef and carnitas tacos.

From the two, the beef was my favorite. It was well seasoned, thus gushing with Mexican flavors. The carnitas, though, in my opinion was lacking flavor. I felt it to be a bit bland. The cheese sauce and the salsa placed in the carnitas tacos saved it. Maybe it was just that batch that wasn't seasoned well.

Having a Mexican restaurant is always a plus in my book. Manila is too saturated with Italian, American, and Japanese restaurants, that at times makes it hard to recall which restaurant had [that] certain dish that gave a lasting impression on you.

Happy Eating!!!

Love the place with its colorful walls!

We ordered the regular nachos ( big serving and the super said he added extra toppings 128522), meat, cheese & salsa quesadilla and the crunchy tortillas with three different meat fillings. Yummy! The three orders were all hefty servings 128077128077128077. We were so hungry we forgot to take photos of our orders 128514.

The best thing is that the male supervisor is very accommodating- he gave great recommendations and has good rapport with customers. I'll definitely come back to try their other dishes.

I've been looking for a great neighborhood Mexican Resto here in the Scout area, and I'm happy to say that I've found one. To satisfy my Mexican food craving, which happens quite often, I had their 3-piece tortilla and papas bravas. I was alone that night, but the great staff kept me company. There was this one guy who impressed me with his extensive run-through of the entire menu. He also managed my expectations by telling me what wasn't available. Plus, they have authentic, home-made hot sauce. Very cool resto with great food!

Second time here and I still am satisfied. Only got their nachos because we wanted some snacks only. I think it lacked a but meat this time. Mire overflowing ground beef could've been more awesome. 128517

We went here during their soft opening early last year. Their place is really small yet it's well-lit. One of their staff was approachable and he explained very well to us their menu.

We ordered their Chimichanga which was very crispy and full of stuff. Their Quesadillas has lots of cheese and beef. Also, their Nachos was so tasty. He also recommend to us their Cheese and Beer soup which literally has a beer on it. It was good and has a twist on it. Their servings were big. It has also had a authentic Mexican taste. Their price was just fine.

Was excited to try this Mexican place which is a little out of the way from the busy food street that is Tomas Morato. It's almost right across my favorite vegetarian restaurant Greens and is a small unassuming place that if you drive too fast you will pass it without noticing! Their nachos come in three colors and was definitely generous in serving. We also liked their quesadillas and dynamite roll. A bit disappointed that their burritos had more rice than anything else though.

Hole in the wall Mexican restaurant!128155 ole!128515

I found it difficult to find and difficult to find parking! When we got there, it smelled a bit musty but it was okay... Decked in festive colors which I liked...

My friend and I shared an order of their nachos, which was heaping full of beefy, cheesy goodness!128513 I ordered the burrito which you can customize... Tried it with onion cilantro rice and carnitas... Serving size was huge, especially for the price! But I didn't like the combo of ingredients I chose though...

Kudos to the server who was all alone and yet very very friendly and nice and attentive!128515 I would have given 4 stars but the parking was difficult....128522

Mexican comfort food at its finest.

Ordered cheese and beer soup and ground beef chimichanga! Food was great and it's affordable too. :P

Just a small place though, this place is hidden along Sct. Castor st. beside Greens Vegetarian Restaurant. Also owned by Cafe Ysabel and Buenissimo.

if your not a fan of spicy food, this place is not for you.

i ordered flour tortilla with ground beef, sausage, and carnitas. the food is ok but it feels like some flavor is missing. cant pinpoint exactly which but every bite, i keep thinking "something is missing". haha! if i were to choose between Mexicali and this, Mexicali is still my favorite go-to mexican food.

on the other hand, the service is great. the guy serving, forgot his name (sorry!) is very courteous and accomodating too. he also suggested best sellers and other food to try on our next visit.

Great place for catching up with friends--it's a pretty small restaurant but it will leave a big mark in your foodie life. The nachos will surely be a hit, but it's the burrito and tacos that will make your tastebuds say, "Amazeballs!" They sometimes have special promos, like a combo of different items from their menu, which is a great way of getting a taste of their various offerings. They also have their own version of the avocado ice cream, which is probably one of the best that you can get in QC :)

Saw this place here on looloo. And since I'm on the hunt to look for a go to mexican place, my boyfriend and I went to have dinner here. We ordered a burrito, quesadilla, papas bravas, churros and avocado ice cream. The burrito, as we have also commented to them, has more rice than other ingredients. It's like 70% rice and 30% everything else. It's good though but I hope they lessen the amount of serving of the rice. The quesadilla was good too. The churros was also good. I ordered another one for take out to give to my brother since he also likes churros. When we asked for a recommendation for the desserts, we were told that the avocado ice cream was their best seller and that it is homemade so I wanted to try it as well and it was good! :)

Will go back here again sometime. We were told that they will change some parts of their menu and I would like to see what they have retained and what they have changed.

this is my second time to visit the place since this place is hidden in the tiny streets of tomas morato area.

dont be fooled by their small interior, as it can only occupy around 10 people inside, they have a great selection of mexican dishes, from quesadillas, tacos, nachos, and a variety of rice and meat for their burrito, chimichanga and desnudo.i fell in love with their chimichanga the first time i had it, it was crunchy on the outside, yet juicy on the inside, the meat is not dried up, as well as the rice. having it for the second time though, was not the same as some of the parts of my meal was still doughy, nonetheless the filling was still superb.

i also got to share their potato snack called papa's bravas.its their version of potato cutlets topped with cheese, and some bits of meat. it tasted good as well, and with its big serving, it can already serve as one meal if you dont have a big appetite as i do.

what i really wanted to try was their imported beers, (what i remember was they have stella arnois, i forgot the others..sorry!) however it was a bit pricey, but will definitely try it next time i come back for visit.

if you find their dishes good enough for you, you really have to go and visit their place since they dont do delivery service.yet, stopping by to have a quick mexican fix while you're in the area, i guess la taqueria amiga mia, wont disappoint you. 128077

loved the great tasting food, tortilla, papas bravas, dynamitas and avocado ice cream

and loved the great service, attentive and informed staff

and loved the fact that you can enjoy all these with a relative quiet. in the hustle and bustle of tomas morato, we had this hole in the wall all to ourselves.

love. love. love.

I do not frequent mexican restaurants that's why I can't tell exactly how good the food is in this place but the tacos are filling and we loved the cheese quesadillas and mexican fries.

Banachos was something new and was pretty good! The papas bravas had a unique flavor- different from your typical wedges. Wish they had more ground beef in it though! Cheese and beer soup was a unique concept too but missed out on the beer- perhaps they can add in a bit more drops:)

If you're craving for authentic and yummy Mexican food, then you must come to this place. Their dining area is quite small but the staff's really nice and accommodating. My favorite is their Beer and Cheese Soup! 10084
