We had breakfast in one of the famous french bakery, deli and wine library in Cebu. The name of the place is La Vie Parisienne.

La Vie Parisienne in english is "Parisian Life"

We were welcomed by their smiling staff and the aroma of breads when we enter the door of La Vie Parisienne. And we were amazed with the stunning set-up of the place. From the chairs, tables, floor, carpets, lights and up to the ceiling were truly remarkable and noticeable. Oh! There's a fireplace with artificial fire inside. That made me imagine that I'm in another country. The wine cellars and cabinets are part of their interior too and its beautiful.

And we were lucky that we're the only customers during that time. According to the staff that it gets crowded during lunch, especially at night time.

The breads and delis were displayed at the counter where you can choose what you want and pay it directly.

"They served our order in less than 5 minutes. And all the breads and pastries we had were fresh and served hot. My favorite was the Focaccia Bread... the herbed of the breads compliment with the mild saltiness of the butter. Best paired with coffee".

The day after our breakfast we went back to La Vie Parisienne. Boom! The place was jam-packed around 10PM in the evening of Saturday. Too many people were lining up to get a bottle of wine and to be seated. And we were lucky enough to have a seat outside.

La Vie Parisienne is more lovely during night time less the crowd. I am stunned with the glowing beautiful lights and special effects like artificial fireflies in the trees (made of lights).

We had Europe Cheese Pizza for Php490.00 and White Wine for Php390.00. All paid over the counter.

128508Europe Cheese Pizza (Blue Chees, Raclette, Goat Cheese and Mozzarella) - 1108811088110881108811088 5/5
"La Vie Parisienne's version of 4-cheese pizza. I like the softness of the dough, it was made from scratch and baked perfectly. The four cheese on top it was so flavorful specially the blue cheese, not that strong but it will compliment with the other cheese. Best to eat while its hot."

128508White Wine - 11088110881108811088 4/5
"I don't know what kind of white wine we had but it has an infused flavor of peach that made it sweet. And we like it! We order for another bottle."

I will recommend this place to my friends. It's a must try in Cebu. They have affordable wines and unforgettable place.

There are so many French macaron flavors to choose from. Staying and eating the macarons at the cellar is a great experience. :)

Thinking about drinking a glass of wine and chill? La Vie Parisienne is the place for you! (That just sounded like a tv ad 128569)

If you're a wine-drinker, it's a must that you visit La Vie. They offer cheese, bread, pasta and of course, wine! We chose to sit outside since it's the best area to chill at. They also have pizza which is good for two per serving! 127829127863

Cebu is slowly turning into a foodie paradise with new restaurants opening here and there. One of the restaurants that captured my interest is La Vie Parisienne. It is not particularly new but it has a romantic ambiance and I figured that it’s a great place to spend a night with R for his post birthday celebration.

Hello, La Vie Parisienne!

I am aware that this place is more of a bakery than a restaurant but I didn’t know that they have quite a limited selection in terms of heavier, dinner appropriate dishes. We ended up just getting a few pastries—Pain Choco (PHP60), Croissant (PHP60) and Three Cheese Puff (PHP25). We also decided to try one of the Shanpelino Sparkling Wines (PHP325/bottle) and went with Strawberry flavor given that it seemed to be the most popular.

Just like your usual bakery, you have to pick the pastries and drinks of your choice and put it in your basket. Upon check out, you have to inform the staff if you would like to dine in or to have your food and drinks to go. We opted to eat there to enjoy the beautiful ambiance.

The French looking cashier quickly placed our pastries on a black stone plate and opened our sparkling wine and put it in a bucket full of ice. And in less than 2 minutes, we were set.

It took us a bit of time before we found good seats and clean table. The dining area was packed when we visited and the vacant tables were not very clean. Though I like the vibe of enjoying light snacks and wine al fresco, I didn’t really like that the the place was very crowded. (The nicest places to wine and dine—the lighted dome, teepee and low couches on the grass) were the most crowded.) There were a lot of youngsters around and R and I felt a bit out of place.

We started our light dinner by trying the cheese puff. And one bite made us realize why it was cheap. It didn’t taste that good. It was at best mediocre. The cheese taste wasn’t sharp and it was very true to its name “puff” as it was very airy.

The Pain Choco and Croissants are a lot better though. Pain Choco is your usual flaky bread with chocolate spread in the middle. The croissant on the other hand had a light buttery taste which I loved. Too bad I didn’t buy extra to bring home to Manila.

Our sparkling wine on the other hand was pretty good! It tasted like strawberry soda and the fizz tickled my mouth. It was a refreshing drink and perfect to enjoy during a humid night.

Overall, I liked the interiors and the concept. Despite the intimidating name and look, food and drinks are reasonably priced. I’d be willing to go back for more of those croissants but I’ll definitely avoid the peak hours of the day.

Among the simplicity of Cebu is this super quaint place where you relax and have a quiet night 10084

Wine can be as cheap as P250 (but really good!!) and pastries start at P10!! Can you believe that??

They also have top of the line wines, cheese and cold cuts too!!!

Visit them at night time to see their place light up like magic!

The food is good. The place is pleasing. But the service? Really bad.

Their pastries are delicious, and they have cheap wine. We had macarons, croissant, pizza and wine.

When in Cebu, going to this romantic place is never a missed. As soon as you enter you can see the different kinds of french bread available, turning right you can see the different wine display, safe haven for wine lovers indeed. 128077

Heading to this most-talk-about romantic place in Cebu, the lights of it gives a romantic ambiance good for dating and catching up with friends. It's an open-air though, if you may wonder. So, you're prone to second hand smoking.

My love for this place is on the "looks" alone. Cause when we went there it was full-packed, then finally when a group of people finally had enough on their catching up, we sat right ahead and asked the waitress/staff to clean the table, but to our disappointment they acted as if like they didn't hear us. That didn't ends there, because the comfort room was far from "comfort" it's gross, no flash, it smells bad. Ugh 128529

PS: That should be only 110881108811088️, I was absent-minded when I clicked the ratings hahaha! 128514

Best place to hang out on week nights. And I think this is one of the few places that closes late in the city 128517

The place is located in an open area just beside the La Maison Rose Restaurant. The entire place was once an old house converted into a restaurant/wine cellar hang out. Yes they have a wine cellar 🍾127863127866 and inside you can take photos or buy a bottle of wine for a classy experience 128521

The alfresco area is arrayed with fairy lights and chairs that changes lights. 128522 Many come to visit the place which is best viewed during evening times. My cousin and I came over after dinner time and I was overwhelmed and happy to have finally come to this place. 128513

We got ourselves some hot tea and pairing it off with a freshly baked chocolate croissant. It was so delicious! 10084

Truly a must visit if ever you are in Cebu 128077🏻

Cebu's very own little Paris!

The ambiance was a great way to chill with their wine offerings. A great place to talk with friends and enjoy their pastries to your heart's content.

Tasty foods - good place to hangout - relaxing and nice ambiance... good drinks too.

Will go back to Cebu soon and my first night stop would be this place!!!

Enjoyed the scenery though. Maybe the service too slow that time but you know time is pressure. Haha not really a wine person but then it was the try. If you want to relax and chill this is the to be. 128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼

If you are a total Francophile like me, you'll adore this place. Beautiful French pastries and wine which you get to enjoy under a canopy of fuschia lights a la 'la vie en rose'! A great place to chill with friends or a romantic date.

French Bakery and Wine Library 10084️. The place looks expensive and super nice. They have a wide range of pastries and bread to choose from. I personally love their croissant and pistachio macaron. The wine cellar have dozens of liquors that were stored in an air-conditioned room. "Instagrammable" place indeed!!

Flocked by yuppies after work, this place is the ultimate tambayan. There are different stations where you can buy food; burgers, pizzas, wine and pastries.

Me and my friends went here last year to have a dinner. The place is amazing, the wine is affordable yet delicious but the service was totally bad. First, the cashier is not accommodating and it seems they think we cannot afford what they have been selling. Second, their waitresses do not know how to approach the customers and handle concerns. And the worst part there, they asked us for a corkage fee of the peanut we brought. We told them that how come there is a corkage fee when in fact there is no signage that this is applied for foods or drinks brought from outside. And the waitress said that it is because they did not sell peanuts that's why they are asking for the fee. And to think, other waitresses saw us eating the peanuts before one waitress complained to the manager.
I think the staff should have another round of training and if they will impose a policy, let it be known by the customers and not inform them surprisingly.
