Found this new place in Legazpi to try their messy tacos and their burritos.

Ambiance is fine but high wooden chairs are not that comfy.

Servers were nice. They assisted us how to "assemble" our picks. Funny how I thought it's as easy the usual shawarma thing.haha
Here's my deviced formula! :D

Size + Choice of Meat(s) + Preferred add ons+ Pair it with your Fave Drink

Food presentation and taste is average.
It's flavorful, a bit greasy, messy and in a way pretty.
Mexican food justified!

Just no-frills, balanced, and delicious Mexican food that you would literally weep for! How apt that its called Lagrima, which is Spanish i think for tear drop.

Note that this isn't Tex-Mex, but i'd say closer to actual Mex. So don't expect a smothering of cheese, cream, and salsa, or any overpowering flavors on any of their dishes. Everything is just perfectly balanced and kept simple. They take you back to the basics of what popular Mexican food is.

Its pretty simple (i said simple again), simply *there i go again* pick a choice of meat (carne asada, chorizo, chicken, etc) and how you want it (taco, nachos, burrito, quesadilla...). The only thing that makes it complex is actually deciding what you want 128517

I'd like to give special mention to their horchata. They make a f**king good one, so good 1 glass wasn't enough. I'll boldly say that this is the best i've had here.

Oh and do try the quesadilla. Like i said, don't expect a smothering overload of cheese... but what made it interesting was that the cheese some how, some way, melted into the quesadilla wrap! This resulted in a semi-crispy, salty quesadilla shell that i've never experienced before!

And if you remember watching Nacho Libre (starring Jack Black), you'd remember the Mexican street corn on a stick that featured prominently in the film. Yes, they do have THAT in Lagrima, deliciously seasoned with cheese, chili powder, and Mexican mayonaise.

Simply tacolicious! 🌮🌮🌮
Yep, tacos here were just fantastic! It had that good & oily grease that's just really good for your belly. Hihihi. The regular ones weren't enough so we ordered some Nachos Super. These had your choice of beef topping which was just oh-so-delish! 128523

Heard good reviews about this place so when one of our friend invited for a get together, we eagerly suggested this place.

Lagrima is perfect for an after office chill or de-stressing. The place has a minimalist and industrial interior and their menu is simple and all the dishes are made to order with local ingredients. We tried the Beef and the Buche (pig ear and cheeks) tacos, chicken burrito and Horchata and everyone was very pleased with their choice. Overall experience is good and I will love it more if the:
128522 tortilla is not that flaky
128522 restroom is clean
128522 menu is printed on a paper or written on the wall (so that everybody can see)
128522 order can be taken per table since the area where the menu is and for taking order tends to be crowded

Yey! Finally got to try Lagrima! The first time we went here the place is packed and everyone is just starting so we left. And I am just so happy to be back and found a table for us.

Ordered their large nachos and it is perfect! Everything that you want or need in a nachos is there. Generous serving of toppings and it is oozing with flavor. Quesadilla pollo asado is TDF! Crunchy pita with generous filling that paired well with their own made hot sauce I just can't stop thinking about it. Also tried their rice grain drink that cost 50 pesos per glass and it is also tasty. A good way to neutralize the hot sauce.

I suggest you try it now while they are on their soft opening. I have a feeling that they will increase price soon if they start issuing receipts. Unlike now that they just do with papers. 128513128540

Theres a new taqueria in Makati. Lagrima is located near AIM benevidez st side and just beside the ministop. The place doesn't have much of a signboard so you might miss it. The only signage is the signature like logo on their glass door. Its difficult to spot since the inside is well lit.

Lagrima is inspired by the famous La Lucha Tqueria in cebu. The place got that very industrial raw vibe to it. Very simple table and cubic chair. Love their very cool logo! Menu was written on a simple whiteboard.

On the menu was Taco, Burittos, Nachos and Quesdallia. I got the Buche Regular Taco. Buche is pig ear and cheeks. Their tacos is very simple but good. I love the texture of the pig ear and the fatty cheeks. Their soft taco shell need a little improvement it was a little flakey for me. For the drinks their horchata drink was good.

This place is still on its soft opening so for now I'll give it a low 4.

Some inputs for improvement:
-Menu is better if written on the wall. The whiteboard was small and tend to be crowded when theres lots of customer
-The small, regular and special choices on the menu might be better if they differ on sizes and not based on ingredients.
-Hot sauce need a little improvement. Maybe more flavor would be nice. Habanero would be a nice idea.128076

Overall would love to come back to this place. I see so much potential in it. 128522 Pricewise it was very affordable.

Also nice seeing the Sunnies 128526 girls last night! They were all gorgeous!

Was surprised that the former, super delicioso resto Spring Deer by Ha Yuan, was already a foodie of the past and was replaced by this mexican cantina called Lagrima....surprisingly some of the staff were recognizably from Spring Deer, hehehe :) we missed the chinese cuisine that seemed like a hole in the wall in this area, but at the same time curious of this mexican vibe going on....

The prices were a bit different from other mexican cantinas I've tried but well, can't stop feeding the curiosity hehehe128518128518128518

Ateng and I got the Super Quesadilla and Super Burrito, matched with no other but a refreshing can of Coke 128518128077🏻128525 Got me quite thinking how flavorful the food was but on another note having a bit of twist because yes, the direction is Mexican Cuisine but unlike other mexican cantinas which offer in your face, smack down smokey mexican flavors.... Lagrima for me, has this mild tasting mexican flavor 12852210084128077🏻

Gotta love the interiors as well, very in the now, modern industrialist, just cant resist concrete finish walls, industrial lightings and a limited color palette matched with wood. Though they have to adjust the comfortability of the stools, im not sure if its gonna be comfy for people with average height hehehe 128522 they need to check the stool width as well, can't do balancing act with my bum while sitting with sharp, boxy edgeshahaha and left me with a tingling leg feel after a good chow hehehe128518128518128518

Heard about this place through a couple of friends and said the food was very good. Had to check out the place myself.
Place was minimalist and very clean very nice restaurant actually. Price was affordable and food quality was very fresh.
We ordered green chili taco, green chili burrito. Lengua taco and beef carnitas taco.
Taco shells were cold and there was hardly any cheese in the fillings. Good flavor but lacking. Will try again in the near future.

To describe my experience with Lagrima: great tasting and authentic Mexican tacos, etc bar none.

The ambience is minimalist but it's probably because the restaurant just wanted to emphasize how great their food was.

I really recommend this place to anyone who not only love Mexican food like places similar to El Chupacabra, etc but to those who just want to go to a place to have a delicious meal.
