Laiya Coco Grove is a very convenient getaway for families, couples and barkadas! 4hr drive from manila. It consist of treehouse rooms, that has an excellent view of the beach. It cost Php 5,455 for 2pax overnight with full board meals. Very sulit. Booked your trip now.

this resort has two (actually three, but the picnic area is closed for renovation) side, the main where resto, rooms, and pool is; the other side is a wide camping area :) my friend and i went there overnight with our tent and canned goods :) the area is clean with crs, shower areas, covered areas where u can plug and charge your phone :)

i am surprised with the chillax ambiance where i can just focus in the city escaepe and enjoy the beauty of the beach :)

Summer really means putting the beach to good use! Last week, I took the time off from work with my girlfriend because we really felt that we needed to get away from the busy city of Manila. Since Batangas is just an expressway south of Manila, we decided to scout for resorts there. Some resorts were pricey with little inclusions, while others were either reserved due to exclusive events or they were fully booked. The only resort that stood out from the list was Laiya Coco Grove. According to google images (because pictures are the fastest way to determine if the place looks decent hehe), the place looked really nice. The rate we got for a day tour was Php1250 per head which included a managed buffet lunch, pm snack, pool, beach and other facilities like their beach volleyball area. Check in is as early as 8am and check out is at 5pm. To be honest, we weren’t able to utilize all that was included in the package. Reason is that the white beach area was actually a 3 min. drive from the main resort (don’t worry, they have a van for the drop/pickup service) and we decided to stay on the beach after eating lunch. Although Batangas beaches are known to be “mabato” and not so attractive, their white beach area was surprisingly clean and very well maintained! If you’re planning to go here for relaxation, I suggest visiting this resort during weekdays to avoid the crowd during weekends. You could bring your own food and only pay Php 421 per head for the white beach entrance. To give you an idea, we went there on a Friday and we shared the beach area with just one family. Now that’s really worth chilling by the beach. :D

Moving to the main resort, it is big and I could say it’s another good place for big group activities such as company outings or bringing your whole family. Kids have a big space to run around, play on the trampoline, and swim at the nearby pool or the nearby beach (not the white beach area). Not bad for a 2.5 hour drive from Manila.
