The Noodle Feast is value for your money, but Luk Yuen's better. The Beef Brisket wasn't that tender.

Since parking can really be a challenge, we decided to take our orders home. Prices are affordable and delicious.

Every person deserves second chances. Tao nga, pwede, and restaurants pa kaya? Hahaha. #punneh

Lam Tin has always maintained that buzz about how cheap and good their Chinese food is. I got to visit their first (then) branch at Banawe with my sisted and if were able to read my review, I was not that happy with the food. Maybe because we just ordered dimsum and my sister and I are very particular with our dimsums since my relatives in Hong Kong expose us in eating them too much. 128514

Some of my friends got really surprised why I did not like the food but I acknowledged that we might have just ordered the wrong things so I promised to visit them again.

I got really excited when I saw the signage that they will open at E. Rodriguez near Cordillera, my way to work almost everyday so I plotted that on my schedule, though got moved and moved until I forgot about it already.

The most-awaited visit finaly arrived last week and today for lunch. Obviously, I liked the food now. I have to highlight the food being cheap, of good quality, and servings hefty. Very appropriate for big groups to share.

As to the food I got to try, I'd recommend their Lemon Chicken. Nicely fried chicken strips with their lemon sauce on the sides for you to have freedom how much you'd want to add. The sauce was sweet and complimented with the chicken nicely. Yang chow fried rice was something you can eat on its own. Well, that's the essence of getting fried rice, it's the complete package but we tend to eat them with separate ulam making the meal more fattening. :)) One serving I think is good for five to six persons. I also liked their Pancit Canton! Tasty and big serving again. They cooked it right. Lohanchay and chopsuey were not bad. The veggies were fresh and they do big slices making the cabbage crunchy. I don't like celery though so if you're like me, look out for them since both dishes have them. Haha. Spicy spareribs I did not like that much because it was dominated by bonessss. Taste was just okay too. I'd still prefer Mann Hann's. Fried Squid was good in terms of how they cooked the meat making it soft and not very chewy, but the taste had something weird. It had an "asim" taste that my sister thought was due to margarine.

4 stars because the service was not that good. This E. Rod branch looked more modern than the Banawe branch but the service was just the same. I found the waiters very scattered, all around the place, plain disorganized. My dad asked for their service tea which did not arrive at all. When we asked, "ini-init pa ang tea, po" was what we got. A big no-no. They have to always ready their hot teas. It's a Chinese restaurant! 128531

Really good Chinese restaurant for me... Great value for money and a real Banawe institution!128077🏻

Happy to find out that they have opened a new branch at the new building located along E. Rodriquez... There is a real lack of restaurants in that area, so you can really feel the sudden traffic at this stretch of road upon the opening of these restos... Their latest branch is more modern compared to the old one, but still very simple... Chairs, tables, lazy susans and that's it... Despite it's simplicity, you will definitely encounter a waiting list when you come during peak hours, any day of the week... Much worse during weekends.

We have dropped by several times already for our faves, which include their hakaw, lemon chicken, buttered chicken, the lumping shanghai, the beef spare ribs, and their yang chow fried rice... We usually call ahead with our order, give them 10 minutes lead time, then we will just pick up our order to go. No extra charge for their takeout containers.... The always make sure that they give lots of condiments in little plastic bags with calamansi... I have never experienced any problems with them-- they make sure the service is fast to facilitate customer turnover... Servings have different sizes, so no problem if you just want a rice bowl for yourself or if you are eating with your entire clan.

So if you are looking for something cheap, fast, no frills and delicious Chinese food, drop by... No food presentation, no ambience, no arte... But the place has A/C and they are used to big groups... Much better than Chowking and the likes for almost the same price.

Btw, they don't have delivery at the moment but they will have it soon... They are still on soft opening the last time they dropped by, but lines are already crazy.

Very poor parking space. The latest cause of traffic at e. Rod
I'm only rating this 3 stars because of the airheaded security guard who was assisting the parking. I can imagine their stress last sunday's lunch time.
Expect a line also. We were 3rd in wait during that time. We waited about 15 minutes.
I honestly approve of their fast turnover, meaning they were really efficient serving their customers.
My suggestion. If you pushthru, is you could choose your order while waiting so everybody's happy.
128204Noodle feast
Everything in here. Dimsum. Noodle. Oyster sauce. Beef chunks. Asado chunks. Veggie.
128204mapo tofu
This was the least favorite dish that we had. Yung tipong nilangaw. Ahaha. We dont know. Kinda lacks taste
128204breaded squid
Not the exact name, i really love the soft squid inside the very salty breading.. Well, i did not like the breading. Ask for vinegar!
128204128525sweet sour fish

I love this restaurant. Their salted fish fried rice, the spicy spareribs... good price point.

But here's a crucial tip:

AVOID this place at ALL costs during Chinese holidays! It's a madhouse. Absolutely NOT a place for a relaxing dinner.

If the place were sound-treated to absorb noise, the crowds will be tolerable. But crashing plates and people talking above other' voices? Auditorily assaulting and consequently making one's eating rushed.

Wider, Bolder, Classy and Modern new branch...It's not far from the main, just about 1-2 kms away. I guess. 128538 and compared to the old one, where you need to go inside Banawe St., this one's much easier to reach...just along E.Rodriguez Sr. Ave. 128077🏼

I'm so happy that my friend mentioned to us that she saw this branch opened just few days ago..we immediately went here last night instead of going to Maginhawa. I knew then that I don't wanna be the last to try it. Bff knew by the way that hubs and I love Lam Tin that we've been to their branch for a hundred times already! 12851410084

We ordered our usual fave Yang chow, Large (haha, di kinaya ang dami, there were three of us last night!) Spicy Spareribs and this Beef Brisket for 175. We used to order Beef Wanton soup with this Brisket on top. 128077128522128523

I'm seeing myself going back here again soon. I'm so proud and happy that they're growing and getting bigger. I really love the quality and taste of the Chinese food here aside from being so affordable. 128525

Oh by the way, the plates are all whiter and classy and more like a fancy restaurant than what they have back in the first (Carinderia) branch.
