Food was good! It can be comparable to Gerry's Grill, but Lamesa Grill's prices were a lot more affordable, and the servings are quite hefty.

We got their Baby Calamari and Tahong with Cheese for appetizers, Pinatayong Manok (see picture for reference of how it will be served, not literally on its two feet thank goodness!), Pork Sisig and garlic rice for our main meal.

We also had their blue margarita, green mango shake and cervesa negra for our drinks, which were perfect since it is quite humid when we went here.

But as for the ambiance, it was kinda confusing since they have their own stereos blasting their own playlist, but then the live band from the adjacent restos can also be heard inside. 128517128585

Unfortunately, there was a giant cockroach roaming above our heads that night! 128561 we were like staring at it for about half an hour to make sure it will not fall on our table, but their manager was really apologetic about it and took it out. 128563

Luckily, our foreigner friend that was with us that night was enjoying his food rather than complaining about that cockroach. 128517

Service was commendable, and their intent to serve their packed restaurant as fast they can was really evident. 128077🏼128077🏼

I've been here couple of times already. The food, firstly, is the reason why I keep coming back. There's a wide variety to choose from and there's different serving sizes also - individual orders for those who are figure-conscious and platters for those planning on binging. Both are served in generous amount. Secondly, price that fits the budget. A platter that can serve 6-8 persons only costs around 800 with drinks included. Isn't that budget friendly? And lastly, the accommodating staff/crew.

Stayed here coz its drizzling outside..
just for a couple of beers but
Instead We had a karaft of zombie,
Tortang sisig (blame curiosity) and garlic chicken (safe choice, its always good)
Zombie is acceptable. Its okay, we actually had 2nd round of it.
Garlic chicken is as expected.
Very tasty and juicy.
When tortang sisig came
My friend and I in duet
"Ahhh kaya pla tortang sisig"
With giggles..hahahaha
Funny.
Its a tortang talong topped with sisig then wrapped in scrambled egg ..
That simple
And its surprisingly good..
Specially with hot sauce.
All in all
Music is cool, staffs were nice.
very tasty filipino favorites..
be back for more.

It was ok. Coz the grilled platter we ordered was half cooked. I tried to convince myself it was okay till I noticed we couldn't finish up the whole platter. I had to ask them to re-grill it again. But overall, it was fine; the service was nice. The waiters were accommodating.

The char grilled seafood surprised me with a caramelized taste the moment it touches your lips. Its a humble place, but it can boast of its seafood platters. The place also offers classic filipino dishes, but i suggest you go for the grilled seafood goodies. Price is okay, place is tastefully embellished with native weaveworks that makes the place cozy.

Love how Pinoy dishes have evolve into what it is today. La Mesa Grill has applied that evolution principle over time. An array of seafood, poultry and veggies will always invite you to satisfy your cravings for all-Filipino menu. Love the taste of pork sisig and looks forward to 'baby pusit' in olive oil. The place needs some interior refurbishings though to make it more cozy dining venue.
