I have been hearing raves about this place from my Chinese friends. I am aware that they have a branch somewhere in Binondo but not inside the mall 128517

Wandering inside the mall, this restaurant with a small door opening is tucked in between the corridors of the apparel section #walasarestaurantarea ..if I wasn't with my friends who frequents the mall, I doubt if I would be able to locate it 128517

The interiors are very Chinese and I felt like I was in one of the restaurants along the hutongs of Beijing 128513 it felt like "home" - the Chinese are everywhere, like almost all the customers are Chinese!

The place is well known for their lamien 拉面 or 127836 noodles. My friends are claiming that the noodles are close to Chinese flavor.

🔹 Wanton Lamien (140php) 11088110881108811088️ -- the broth is flavorful, so is the taste of the wanton. I didn't like the texture of the noodles 128533

🔹Steam Dumplings (180php) 110881108811088️ -- I think it would taste much better if it was fried (IMO)

🔹Squash Hopia (60php) 1108811088110881108811088️ -- my favorite 100841008410084

It was a good meal overall. We had a demanding group when we ate here, but since they were regulars, and the owners knew some of them, they were able to listen to the requests and if some flavors were missing or the taste wasn't the same as the last time, the servers would take note of it. 128522

P.s. I would come back for their squash hopia 128536

To warm our cold rainy day, this hot noodle soup did the job for us.

Been wanting to try this restau and I had no idea they've been around for such a lllloongg time. Needless to say, they indeed have mastered the art of hand pulled noodles through years of business. I am not a fan of rice noodles as I find it too heavy but theirs was super good I ate more than I should and more than the guys in my table128514. A bit embarrassing since their amount of serving is huge! So, I ordered the beef wanton and added chicken, and boy was it delicious! The wanton is delicious & exactly how I want them to be, supple & savory! The beef was tender and full of flavor while the broth was simple, pleasant and balanced. One may find it bland but you're free to tweak the flavor with the condiments avail.

We ordered the dumplings too which was equally good! I liked both the fried and steamed (you can order half & half) which you dip in vinegar & ginger strips.

I'm glad I tried it finally as I've been searching for this noodle type for a long time and now, I can say that it's a fave of mine already 🤗128151

Of all the authentic lamien in the metro, this one is my favourite. Having tasted original lamien abroad, this 1 is surely authentic.
They first open its first branch at around magsangkay area, and its was really a small hole in a wall type nothing fancy. The 1 who prepares the lamien then was a guy from china and the first time i tasted their lamien i realized i will be back often. Now after several years they have 4 or 5 branches but still retains its original taste.
I personally recommends beef lamien around 120. Steamed dumplings around 150 for 15pcs. The serving is really big.
And first time to hashtag.

theatrics and science is somewhat contradicting yet feasible combination. and here I am about to be marvelled again by both in the art of noodle pulling. this is some what a lost art but is coming back to the mainstream kitchens of some restaurants. one of which is this place.

in all honesty I am quite sentimental when it comes to the classics and boy was I in for a treat. first of all in a dish the star of the show should be prominent not the accompaniment which in this case the noodles. they are nice and chewy yet delicate. the broth is well balanced and the meat nice and tender. portion is very generous and price i on par.

so of your hunkering for that noodle craving you might want to consider visiting lan Zhou LA mien.

We ordered beef lamien, steamed/fried dumplings (you could order it in half-half), pancit that I forgot the name, and egg chafan. I have to say that for a Chinese restaurant, their food are not too salty. Their beef lamien is what they're known for and I totally get it why! It is served in a large bowl that could feed two persons plus it's really filling because it has tons of noodles!!! I also love their steamed dumplings however it won't fare with Dong Bei's but it's forgivable because noodles are their specialty. Lastly, their egg chafan and pancit is something that your moms could cook on their own. They're not bad, they're just forgettable and both is a bit on the oily side. This is my second time eating in Lan Zhou Lamien's and it never fails me! 128077🏼
