Ah the new whole sale and retail supermarket (that's one of its difference with S&R but hey, i like S&R more!!)

Landers. Where everywhere is mahalanders.

That caps up my review. But to tell you more where your extra Gs go to, it goes to the better ambience and wider space, fresher and cleaner look than S&R. Well, their food offerings only were way too limited into stromboli, pizza, roasted and fried chicken, and hotdogs! Aww. No cheeseburger.

128204 stromboli @185php
Huhu. It tastes like pizza with a lot of bread. Umay factor at its finest. Puro cheese. Good for two though.

My friend ordered chicken. Goodness. They serve it inside a box. Thanks to that nahirapan friend ko kumain.

Good is that they have cafe doppio. This is something different from S&R. And they got soy based ice cream, people. Now that's something worth returning to this place. (85vs69Php fir a scoop)

That's it. Im not going back to landers for a meal. Maybe afternoon coffee?

My second time to visit and unfortunately, it was such a disappointment. I think many people were attracted to the large store and new variety of products and I admit I did too at first. But when you look closely, a lot of food items are near expiration or even expired (expired July 2016 and still on the shelves in Nov 2016). For this particular product, some cans were expired July 2016 and some were expiring Nov 2016, all mixed together. When we reported this to one of the staff walking by, he just confirmed that yes, there are products that are expired and continued on with his work as if it's not an issue. And this is not just one product. Apparently, most shoppers do not pay attention to this, so they just buy them without knowing it's already expired. I understand that near expiring products are ok to sell (maybe at sale prices) but expired products are unacceptable on the shelves.

Secondly, customer service needs a lot more training. The folks outside and at the cashier are quite friendly. But the staff inside are quite inefficient. When I asked the staff to show us the lighted Xmas decoration and confirm whether it's battery operated the other day, he was clueless. He looked at it for a while then said oh yes, it's battery operated. And when I asked if it could be tested so that we can see how it works, he said they don't have any batteries. I told him how can we buy it if we can't see how it looks like and he said he will try to find some batteries, he left and never came back. Later on, we were able to get another staff and she immediately got us batteries and tested the product before we bought it. The rest of the staff with her were also clueless.

Many products also didn't have prices and no staff were around to help, esp the clothes and sports section. Later on at the food section, another customer asked how much the acai juice pack is. There were 3 staff on the area, then 1 staff looked up to find the price tag. The customer said no price tag and that's why she was asking. Then the staff said "palagay ko pareho lang dun sa iba" and repeated it several times. He said he'll check but just stood there finishing his work and repeated said "palagay ko pareho lang price". So he wasn't sure and didn't want to find out the correct price? Are the staff trained to be lazy and indifferent to the customers' needs? I saw the face of the customer and she was really pissed off, I really pity her. Again, this happened to my companion too asking about another product. So apparently, it's the standard service level of the staff there.

Some of the local products are also overpriced, compared to the big supermarket prices elsewhere.

To be fair, when S&R first opened, they had growing pains too but never things like expired products, etc.

On the positive side, they've got good variety of new products or products you don't normally find elsewhere, but I hope they don't sell expired products.

Food served at the club is good. I like the hotdog sandwiches, the chicken, and the soup. The pizza was served cold so we didn't enjoy it.

An impromptu visit to relatives in Bulacan meant stopping somewhere along the way to buy food. Lola requested for pizza so we decided to go to Landers.

We got their best sellers and requested for Chicago Cut/ square slices. I wish they really cut through the pizza. We had to use a knife to separate the pieces. The Manhattan Supreme was a combination of meat and vegetables. I liked this over the all meat Brooklyn Bomber. We ordered regular pizzas because the wheat version wasn't good. My dad and sister tried it on a different visit. The pizza tasted ordinary but my sister suggested that we try it when it is newly cooked. It was no longer warm when we reached Bulacan and we were too hungry to heat it up.

We also purchased several items from the grocery. The Roast Chicken was juicy, tasty and huge. They cut it up with scissors upon our request. The Cinnamon Babycakes were so so. I wasn't able to try any of the Assorted Pastries. The packaging of the desserts were very sturdy and hard. They were challenging to open and my sister even broke a nail.

We also got disposable plates, utensils and glasses. Since Landers wasn't that crowded, we were able to go around a bit and buy a couple of things.

We had an impromptu Roast Chicken and Pizza Party minus the hassle.

I love their wheat crust pizza. Compared to SnR, Lander's seats are way more comfortable especially when sipping coffee. Their espresso really kicks.

We enjoy shopping here. This superstore is well-lit probably due to the huge windows that brings in natural light. Very spacious to roam around. Do take advantage of the 20% membership discount which I believe is until next month.

So on with the food:
2 PIECE CHICKEN WITH RICE AND SODA
My parents loved the chicken. They say it tastes better compared to the other membership store. Go figure.haha. Not as dry as the other.

SALISBURY TURKEY FRANKS COMBO PLATTER
The bun was soft and goes well with the franks. Love it with mustard. The fries are my kind of fries with just the right amount of saltiness.

LOBSTER BISQUE
It was smooth and creamy and it made me feel warm and fuzzy.haha.Love it!

DOPPIO ICE CREAM
Between the Cherry Chip and Salted Caramel, OMG the Salted Caramel is the Bomb!!! I tell you it tastes awesome 128522

Will be back to grub next time. I 10084 Landers.

Expected EVERYTHING to be super salty but the pepperoni pizza wasn't THAT salty... The chicken and the lobster bisque were though. 128517

The soda machine was broken so there was a lady who would would refill cups with 1.5 L soda bottles MANUALLY. 128533

S&R pizza pa rin but this one's not bad. Also, I love how affordable the 2 piece chicken meal (rice and refillable drink included) was at PHP 169.

They only have chicken, pizza, hotdogs and burgers that time. I recall seeing soups and salad in people's IG photos last month. Their hotdog is nothing to write home about and their chicken was a tad too salty. They should at least try to offer something different (both in the food section and the actual grocery) to make it worth transferring from S&R.

The chicken was crispy and juicy not better than S & R but good on its own. The chicken roll was little bit mushy than the latter. But I find this new only members shopping spanky clean and well lit than the other. See the difference here.

The is place well lit and clean. Although it looks enormous, the isles are too narrow. We we got to the food section it was crowded and hard to move with your pushcart constantly bumping something or someone 128546 They have a good selection of food brands / items. We didn't get to sample the food at the "central". But we had the wine ice cream, one pint is for sharing, but if you're better half is a sweet tooth like Jefferson L, you probably need another pint. 128514128514 128514 Must try flavor is the cherry merlot, REALLY GOOD! you can actually taste the wine!

Everyone said that food is better here compared to S&R. And man.. were they wrong! Their fried chicken can injure your kidneys in an instant and even the beef hotdogs too, were not close to edible. We love salty food but grabe, both were REALLY salty. The pepperoni pizza was just okay; the dough was a bit dry and tough while the crust was a bit burnt. Sorry guys, it's still S&R for me.9996🏻️

And it was so nice to meet you Em D! Hi to your adorable parents too!!1285229786

Their Pizza and chicken were better than s&r. Since this was new in town, expect long line and no seats available.

Thanks for adding |Ms. Gwen!

Grand opening last June 22.
Premium Card P640 , 1 Extension P320
Business Membership P800, up to 4 extensions P320.
Membership cards Now on 20% sale, up to September this year. Orig price is P800. It used to be on a buy 1 take 1 card sale last June 1-15. Tinamad lang ako pumunta!:(

This is their first branch along Edsa Balintawak in QC. Second branch in Otis now ongoing construction and will be open in September.
They have their own Gas Station, 5% discount when you gas up (that's what I heard), Barber Shop (Talas Manila which also has a branch in Cubao), Bakeshop, Rotisserie and a Pizza house.

Landers Central, is what they call their Pizza house. Serves real NY pizza, Sausage Sandwich, Fried and Roast Chicken, Lobster soup, Fries and more...so much like S&R.

But I guess the place looks bigger outside because a part of the front building wall is made of glass. Parking is huge but still not enough. Last opening day, the car queue was up to Edsa, causing a slow traffic in Northbound lane. 128556
Luckily, my hubby was smart enough not to wait for long in that traffic, we went past Landers and parked at the nearby SSS, car shop. or else we'd probably be wasting a lot of time and gas.

NY pizza is the bomb, Fried Chicken's too salty but crispy . We didn't get to taste the Lobster soup kasi ubos na. Hotdog Sandwich is at 199 pesos but comes with Fries and refillable drink na. We loved the FFries!

We also had a cup of ice cream. Strawberry Cheesecake, that's 89 pesos. Ok lang except parang fake sugar ang ginamit? 128513
Anyways, they also have Matcha Green tea, Vanilla and more.
