After our visit to Temple of Leah we went to Lantaw for dinner. Most seats overlooking the city is reserved but I noticed that some customers end up transferring to the middle seats anyway - I think this is due to the presence of flies or something.

Food is really good, though that may just be because we were hungry at the time. I'll be listing out the ones I recommend (or well, have tried hehe)

-Baked scallops: scallops is always a must order for me. I especially like the scallops in Cebu - idk but I just feel that it's fresher compared to the ones that you can find in Manila. I love the baked scallops here, very cheesy.
-Calamari: I liked it. It didn't have a rubbery texture, which is always a good thing when it comes to squid lol
-pancit: it was good, although I think that it was a bit salty
-kare kare: I also liked this one! The sauce is very creamy, and let's just say I ended up eating more than my fair share of rice lol

The city view from Lantaw is really pretty, especially during sunsets and at night when the city just sparkles. The road's a bit dark - at night - and narrow (especially when you go in Lantaw's entrance where it's also steep), so be careful driving up here!

Service was nice. I didn't really like how they displayed their fish (or some of it that was on display orz) - seems unsanitary to me. ;; They have no wifi. Parking is aplenty though.

Lantaw is one of the most visited restaurants in Cebu so it wasn't a surprise when we were #8 on the waiting list when we arrived. With that, it took an hour before we were assigned to a table. We were seated in the far end of the restaurant that's not so visible from the counter. Like any other restaurant, this was a downside because it was hard to get the attention of the servers and it took twice as slow to follow up our orders.

We ordered Baked Scallops for our appetizer and it was good. The garlic on top gave the scallops a good kick. We ended up "fighting" for the last piece haha. We also got Adobong Pusit, Garlic Shrimps, Chopsuey and Crispy Pata. For me, the pusit lacked a bit of saltiness the usual adobo has. Same with the scallops, the Garlic Shrimps had a lot of garlic on top. The chopseuy had a typical taste. The crispy pata took so long before it was served. It was crunchy but not hard to chew. Among these, I'd give the scallops and the crispy pata a thumbs up! For my drink, I got their Buko Shake which was really really tasty. It had just the right level of sweetness but it didn't lose the buko taste.

Since this is just super near Temple of Leah, we decided to have a quick snack here. Ordered Turon, Halo-Halo, Mangga w Bagoong, Mango shake, and fresh buko juice. 128513 The combination was kind of weird and parang masakit sa tyan but we still ate and finished everything 128514128518

- The turon was super sisik and huge and is served with a vanilla ice cream on top.
- Halo-Halo was good as well since it was not all beans (not a fan of beans) but there's also corn flakes, pinipig, buko, nata, barquillos, and ube ice cream! 128513 and less ice hihi!!
- The mangga was not that sour and the bagoong was not malansa/weird.
- My friend had the mango shake and she liked it since it was really sweet and refreshing.
- Was excited to drink my fresh buko juice and I was expecting the coconut meat to still be inside but apparently, they just used the shell and removed it since I only ordered for the juice. 128530 Not worth it for the price (70pesos).

But what makes this restaurant really good, amazing and a must visit here in Cebu are the following :

1. Price! Very very affordable (except for the buko juice 128527) and serving size is big. Good for sharing. Super sulit! 128076🏼
2. Service was good and the staffs were all nice, warm and helpful.
3. The location! The place is really really relaxing and beautiful. Open space with very comfy seats and a chill ambiance. Plus the weather up here is very malamig. 9786️ Plus you get to enjoy a 360 degree view of Cebu from up here while enjoying good food.

Perfect place to have lunch with your family or friends after visiting Tops, Sirao, and Temple of Leah. Or a place to have your date nights. 128513

I was playing The Climb in my mind as we made our ascent to one of 3 Lantaw restaurants in Cebu, the 2 being seaside this was different coz it was on a mountain. Made the right decision to have dinner instead of lunch as you could aee the whole twinkling metro. The waiters were very nice and can sing and dance if one of you had a birthday! :') the food was a nice assortment of traditional Filipino food. Crispy pata, Garlic shrimp, monggo soup were the notable ones. They had a cute Jeepney bar (was a real jeepney too sawed in half) that serve an assortment of drinks. Surprisingly they had Coronas which lately has been a favorite eversince our Mexican friends have been over. Price was very good for a group of 15 our total bill was under 4k and this was a feast with tons of drinks! :D

Just make sure you got your own transpo else you'd be stuck riding a motorcycle in tandem for P70 one way or a taxi who woul charge you quadruple the fmetered fare.

The name says it all. Perfect place to unwind after some serious work in Cebu. Just look at that evening cityscape. :)

My client was nice enough to bring me here (we were a total of some 25 persons, all in all, so, no, my client was NOT schmoozing me LOL). I needed the break from a very intense 1.5 days of strategic planning so far completed for this client. :)

The weather was perfect. Cool wind. Clear skies. Good company.

We sat at the topmost deck where they had soft cushions. Perfect space to lounge and relax and have my tequila rose (they have a very good selection of mixed drinks, hard liquor, imported beers -- Hoegaarden and Stella Artois included!, and good enough red and white wines).

The food was as expected. Good homegrown cooking! Shrimp garlic (sucked those shrimp heads, definitely!)...baked scallops (super garlic as well!)...fresh oysters ... Kinilaw.... Pakbet... And, of course, Cebu Lechon! Ate bits of each plate and concluded I liked the shrimp garlic the best and the Lechon. The buttered chicken and calamari were so-so.

Prices are not bad at all.

After my tequila rose, the boys sent me a bottle of hoegaarden... Refreshing way to end my dinner..! :)

We hung around for quite some time at this place... Lots of funny stories shared... The place is conducive to group get-togethers but can also definitely be a wonderful date place (pick a more secluded spot, though, otherwise... Ambient noise may be intrusive for more romantic intentions).

They expanded the place since I last went here which was exactly a year ago (now has a smoking area, parking a bit bigger) but still overall a nice place to just get away from the hustle and bustle of Cebu City.

Going back there when I have the chance..!

A friend brought me here when I visited her in Cebu. Food is delicious, reminds me of Barrio Fiesta and Dampa in Manila. It was also my first time to try grilled saang. It's a giant shellfish and surprisingly yummy. I like the Cordova cooler too. It's basically just a juice but I guess what enticed me more is their presentation of it. Okay, too shallow but it tastes good naman. Ambiance is perfect. You get a free view of the city while dining. Just be patient enough when going here because their service is super slow. :)

This restaurant sits on top of a hill overlooking Cebu City. Amazing views, went here for dinner.

Their specialties are seafoods. Prices are affordable but serving sizes are small. Bitin. Tourist trap.

Service is slow.

Our loval friends say reservations are required as they're always full. You need to have a car to get here as there are no cabs and/or public transpo going up here.
