The place has a strong wifi connection powered by globe and the place is not crowded, the restrooms are clean but in relation to sanity, I'll give them a 5, the rats can freely roam the place, like really? why would they even allow that? #littleadventure

One of the most beautiful local airport that I've seen in terms of design. Made of bricks that looked like more of a museum than an airport from outside.

Tips:
1. Look for the Information Desk and register to get your complimentary map and information sheet of the province!
2. Getting out of the airport and going to the city when there's no one to pick you up may be a challenge! Either ride a tricycle or jeep. Tricycle will cost you from Php100 to Php150 to downtown.

Maintaining the region's architectural style, this airport is a pretty brick building reminiscent of Filipino architecture. Yes it still needs improvement. However the building itself and the period it represents is good enough for me. The first time I came into this airport a decade ago, they didn't even have conveyor belts and our baggages were thrown onto the floor to be retrieved.

This is an international airport as they receive direct flights from HK and China. I heard Korea is also in the pipeline.

The have two stores that offer cheap food (without the empanada though) and a massage area for only 270/hour. No wifi. They have 2 tvs playing 2 different stations.

Reminders for travelers going through this airport:

- You have to check in your langonisa and fresh garlic. They cannot be hand carried;
- You are allowed to hand carry your bagnet;
- Tricycles to and from the city are 150 pesos per way, per trike; and
- There's a free shuttle to the city (sign up at the tourist desk when you arrive) and they drop you off to where you are headed.

We were charged 150 pesos for the airport fee. We were not charged an airport fee in Manila as it was supposed to be included in the fare. We explained it should be included in our ticket but they said everyone pays. I have yet to check if we were charged the fees in our ticket.

Don't try to smuggle the langonisa and think that they wont see it. Just check it in. They have 2 xrays and they know we bring them home.

Vigan is only about 1.5 hours away by private car. By bus, it takes so much longer when you add the time it takes to wait for the bus and the stops it takes.

PS. When traveling around Laoag, trike fares are 11 pesos per person. Don't be fooled when they charge you more. Always tell them the price you'll pay before riding. I rarely saw jeeps plying the city.

First of all, just like any other domestic airports, its no LAX nor JFK. What I love about this airport is the exterior design. It shows the heritage of the province, trying to maintain the spanish era style of most of its buildings.

For me, this is kudos for Ilocanos!
The structure maybe old but the people are trying to make the airport look clean for tourist 128077

One of the best domestic airports we have here in the Philippines. The people are so accommodating, the environment is really welcoming. Though the space may not be too big, but as long as they keep it clean and they serve people well, that will be okay for me. I hope they still offer free bus ride around laoag and transfers to hotel, bus stations around laaog - that provides a lot of convenience on our part :)

Touch down Laaog 2200H. Despite the late hour and delayed flight the airport was well lit and exuded warmth. I guess the brick and Vigan tiles certainly gave it that vibe. While the baggage retrieval area was small, it was practical and quickly accessed from the tarmac. Once you claimed your bags, the distance to the parling lot was nothing more than a hop, skip and a jump.

My mini me was in his "kulit" mode so I had to pick him up or else he would have certainly strayed under the parked aircraft. Good thing he was game to take the customary pic in front of the Laoag International Airport sign.

Vacation mode on! 12851697281279461279401278531278811278821278839973

Again, like most provincial airports location is in the outskirts of the city capital, around 8Km or 10 to 15 mins away from Laoag City.

The airport facade is made of bricks or brick-like structure to maintain the Spanish-rustic feel of the very historical province of Ilocos Norte.

Airport can seat around 80 to 100-ish pasengers, there's around 2 or 3 29 or 32-inch TV screen for entertainment purposes.

there are a couple of food stalls outside the airport near the parking lot, if you want cheaper and more choices of viands. In any case, there's a Cafe inside the airport (I forgot the name) which sells coffee, softdrinks and desserts. there's 2 power socket in that cafe.

last flight for Cebu Pac is 2pm-ish, AirPhil is 430pm-ish.

Hello Pagudpud! This was my first time to fly here 128522

The airport is small, there's a lot of people. I think they can try to expand a little.. Hehe but one thing I liked about this airport is the massage section where the masseurs are blind. 128522 It was relaxing and cheap (php80.00 for back massage128525)

All in all I was pampered in this airport hihi.

Btw, restroom is not so pleasant.

Looks like the old brick houses. Small and dimly lit, with a few stores inside so buy your souvenirs/snacks before going to airport.

With free shuttle to downtown--pogi points especially for budget travelers!

Manual baggage checking upon entering the boarding gates. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Massage by the Blind offered inside, from P60-P270 depending on the service you like.

30-45 mins air-travel to manila. Not the best airport but i haven't experienced air traffic or delayed flights, bottled water is expensive, and unsanitary comfort-rooms.
