First time I tried this place out was in 2011 and I am very pleased at the way the resto has moved with the times, both in terms of their menu and ambience. Reasonable prices for reasonably portioned dishes, mix of popular cuisines strewn together by the very cozy lighting and decor. As of this review, the staff are incredibly pleasant and attentive too. It's one of those places you'd prolly want to be a regular.

After our dinner last Thursday, we still wanted to hangout but most of the restos close at 10pm.

Although the people is small the crew we all nice even though it's almost closing time. Most of us order beer and two ordered desserts: Blueberry Cheesecake shake and Canonigo. Both are tasty but I need to share that the cake (Canonigo seen on the pic) was huggggee for the price of 130 we all thought it was small but damn. Good for sharing .

Try this place out there are a lot of choices. #12Days

One of my favorites in Serendra. Their Malungay leaf stuffed ravioli is delicious. Try the fresh green mango juice! Good place for drinks and shisha too. + nice service. Many says that they have a good breakfast, but we came there merienda time that's why no breakfast serve on that time 128532 next time ill visit them we'll surely go there in the morning for breakfast.. But since we got their we tried also their desserts ...chocolate and cheesecake ..yummy and tasty 128523128077

Back in the 90's, foodat Larry's Bar in Makati was great! The chocolate souffle was dark puffed and yummy.... Now although its in a bigger ramekin ... Was so bland in taste and pale in comparison... Chicken in bacon & mushroom cream sauce wasn't a pleaser either.... Blindfolded i would say i was eating at World chicken 128547. Wasnt worth the price....
Maybe will try their breakfast next time

If you're in Serendra and looking or a place to have breakfast, Larry's is one of the restaurants that open at 7am. Mary Grace opens at 8am.
This has got to be the crunchiest and tastiest danggit I've eaten in a restaurant!!!

Meringue and Mango! 10084️ Try this, Canonigo! If you love Brazo, the meringue of it, you may fell in love with this one. This has no custard filling though, but the Mangoes with it did a good combination! 128539

Sweater weather always makes me want to warm up my insides. Yesterday it was pouring some so I really wanted soup of some sort for dinner. Luckily this place had just that. 128522

First thing I noticed when we arrived was that its ambiance was a bit dark, with wood panel ceilings that had holes in them where dim yellow lights poked out. They had this long, red couch which looked super chill and comfy. 128077 There were only a few tables inside as well as outside and most where occupied. Servers were attentive enough, but the food took a bit longer to arrive than I expected.

There were only 3 kinds of soup on their menu and I got their pumpkin and bacon soup. I've read reviews about how good their lava cake is, so I ordered that and their larry's teapoccino. The teapoccino arrived first, english breakfast tea topped with hot milk, and boy was it hot! I think the first sip burned my tongue a little. The milky foam was nice, but overall it was bland. I had to put some sugar in to even taste anything.

I enjoyed the pumpkin and bacon soup. It had a nice consistency, creamy, not overly runny and not too thick. Its flavor was on the subtle side, but despite that I could still taste the pumpkin. The bacon bits and croutons made it all the more hearty. The only problem people might have with this dish is the serving size, but I think it's reasonably priced at P145.

The lava cake was warm, rich and moist. I loved slicing through it and having that chocolate ooze out all over the plate and mix with the melting vanilla ice cream. 128525 It wasn't sweet at first, but as I kept eating the umay factor reared its ugly head.

I only payed P390 for my orders, cheap compared to the other restaurants. I'm definitely coming back. 128522

Visited here for Sunday breakfast and liked the food and service so came back for last Saturday dinner. Hmm I think I like the breakfast more.

We had hummus, Jamon Serrano with bruschetta and spinach soufflé. Relatively light dinner with no main dish.
.
I liked the hummus and the bruschetta. The tomato paste on the bruschetta was good.

Jamon Serrano was nice with olive oil and pepper added. Much cheaper compared to Beso but I still like the more thinly sliced Beso version and even the taste too.

The soufflé was hmm okay. A bit watery maybe cus of the water that comes out of spinach?? It was a good experience but not a favorite.

I will definitely come back for breakfast but maybe not often for dinner. But it's a good place to eat out alone:) and the service is really good!

Corned beef pandesal. Prefer that the corned beef is cooked well done and crispy. Goes perfect with toasted pandesals.128077

Felt laZy yesterday afternoon so i asked a supplier for a meeting on a rainy wednesday at Serendra.

Was plannin to try out Sonjas cupcake but the place cramped by benchwarmers trying to pass time...

Closest i saw was Larry's bar...

Upon entry the staff gave me a menu and was attentive all the time.

Ordered a cafe mocha, club sandwich and a molten lava ala mode.

Service was quick and i wondered if it were instant food or just reheated hahaha

Taste for all were so-so and i didnt mind as i was busy trying to finish level 28 of candy crush (huhuhu stucked)

Anyway, my supplier called up that he'll be late so i decided to reset it tomorrow so i can freeload again somewhere new and untested hehehe

Tried to make this photo as delicious-looking as possible but it's not working out too well. I'm no Erick B! 128534

I recommended this place to my parents last night (for dessert) because I wanted to try the lava cake that Edwin I recently reviewed. For Php 150, this isn't bad!!! Chocolate was warm and gooey, the chocolate cake moist and not too sweet! Delicious!

Not the same as Chili's though. Hehe. I'm a loyal Chili's molten chocolate cake fan. 128522

What's awesome is my dad got a free umbrella and 2 free cupcakes because it was Father's Day! 128077

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you love churros, don't order that from this place. Their churros tastes weird. Like dough that wasn't baked completely or something. Can't tell. All I know is, it wasn't good. Even my mom who's normally a "tigakain ng tira-tira" (hi EJ D) barely touched it. That bad. 128586

Larry's Molten Chocolate Cake ala mode, Toffee Sansrival, and Chocolate Souffle : awesomely good sweets that may put the Candy CRush Saga into Sugar Rush nirvana.

Taking advantage of the Independence Day break, I met up with some friends for some early afternoon tea. I originally wanted to take them to Maitre Chocolatier at Jupiter for the awesome fancy chocolate pastries. We got there----Darn! they were closed for the holiday! So one friend suggested that we just head off to Serendra . He was raving about Larry's molten chocolate cake. I didn't need anymore convincing.

I have visited Larry's in the past but never tried their desserts yet. When we got there, the wife of the owner-the late Larry Cruz, Merle, was there. Apparently she was a friend/client of one my friends. Our group was introduced. Such a sweet and friendly lady. She was there with her group of "Serendita" ladies (a term they called their group and introduced themselves as such)--- ladies who lived and hanged out in Serendra. Quite a charming and fun vibrant group of ladies.

We originally planned to just order the Molten Chocolate cake. But upon Merle's suggestion, we added their Chocolate Souffle and Toffee Sansrival. We also ordered brewed barako coffee.

The Toffee Sansrival and the Molten Chocolate Cake were served first.the Toffee Sansrival was their twist to the pinoy dessert. The toffee butter frosting was creamy, and sweet levels just right, tasted a bit like coffee and had a slight salty-sweet kick. The frosting tasted yummy with the crunchy layers of nut-merengue. Unique and good indeed.

Their Molten Chocolate Cake was good. Their version was a soft , dense chocolate cake with a thick buttery chocolate syrup filling that oozed out as we sliced through the cake. It was yummy with the vanilla ice cream. It was a sweeter version of Cyma's.

There was a 20 minute wait for the Chocolate Soufflé. Our server informed us that Merle instructed them to give us free refills on our coffee while we waited (such a sweet lady indeed!). After a good wait, the soufflé was served. Their serving was huge. Puffed to souffle perfection. A good crust with an airy, spongy rich chocolate interior. Right sweetness, refined, delicate, so good! One of the very few places in the Metro that serves superb dessert soufflé !

I loved the desserts that we sampled. Sugar overload for the early afternoon. But no regrets. Once in a while indulgence. Highly Recommended to foodies looking for some seriously good desserts while at Serendra.

I used to get their larry's chocolate cake here at it was really good. This time around had to try the real food. I ordered for the pork medallion which the waitstaff said, its one of their best sellers. To my disappointment the meat was a bit tough and dry and the taste is just ordinary. Too bad i had to rate this one as "ok" , coz their chocolate cake is really good though.

Larry's is our go-to place whenever it's the odd-hours (better known as Happy Hour) at Serendra.

Speaking of which, their cocktails are an automatic 50% off during Happy Hour, a definite star right there!

I love their cocktails (strawberry margarita in photo). It's worth the price even when it's not Happy Hour!

So try their tomato, basil penne pasta (in photo) because it's the perfect merienda / early dinner if you're looking for a meal that's both light and filling.

The penne was a perfect al dente (which is hard to achieve with penne pasta) while the tomato sauce was chunky and just-right sweet.

The Kareshi ordered a cream sauced chicken with mushroom and fries (in photo) that was also perfectly cooked - it was soft and flavorful while the cream was just right (though I'm not a fan of cream sauces, this one was good).

Do keep in mind that while Serendra houses a number of different cafes and restos, not all are open and available at the odd hours, unlike Larry's - that's why we love this place so much.

For dessert, we decided to go to Larry's Cafe & Bar. According to Tin, who recommended this place, they have a superb chocolate lava cake. I'm not a chocolate person. But when a certain chocolate catches the attention of my taste buds, BOOM! Hahaha. Anyway, for php 150, the cake is oh sooooo gooood! Eating it while its still hot together with vanilla ice cream, perfect! 1285221280779786
