Fond of cinnamon-sugar laced pastries? Lartizan Boulangerie's Snickerdoodle Cookie would easily fill that craving.

I'm loving this cookie. The pastry is reminiscent of a chewy cookie dough-like treat with a light crusty/crumbly edge. The huge cookie is sprinkled with light cinnamon-sugar giving the pastry a nice sweetness level without going over board. It's goes perfectly with a cup of your favorite coffee or tea prep.

Not bad for just 65 bucks for this filling sweet cinnamon-y treat.

My friends and I wanted to catch some movie last weekend. We opted to watch The Equalizer, but we didn't make it to the 18:40 schedule. Instead, we got a late movie featured schedule at 21:40, so no choice. So instead of waiting for so long, we decided to eat somewhere for dinner.

We've been arguing where to eat since there are lots of great places in the mall. We all have different choices until we saw Lartizan located at the lower ground, in front of Isla cafè. None of us have tried it yet so we decided to eat here.

Their place wasn't that big, but their interiors were classy and elegant. Not that spacious but just right for us since we’re the only diners that time. My friends got their own choices of dishes while I got the Croque Monsieur with Mesclun vinaigrette salad (Php 295,00) and we got a single order of French Onion soup (Php 255,00) for sharing.

While waiting for our food, the server had given us a plate of free bread containing French sourdough and Baguette, partnered with their butter. I’ve noticed that this kind of bread had this crunchy-quite grainy layer but soft on the inside. It wasn’t sweet but you’ll surely like to have more once you had your first bite. Their butter wasn’t that salty but creamy and tastes good by the way.

Our food came in afterwards. The Croque Monsieur is a grilled ham and melted cheese sandwich, basically. Not sure about the bread they used but it was okay. The vinaigrette salad was good and just right for my taste. The vinaigrette may have a strong flavor but it didn’t bother me though.

The French onion soup was surprisingly filling and heavy. It was creamy and was filled with croutons and other stuff. My friends like their food although some of them thought it was just okay.

This place deserves a try but not sure if I’d mind going back.
