I am not a fan of puff pastries, but this divine bluberry danish croissant from Lartizan is making me scream for more! The soft, flaky croissant is to die for. The croissant alone is a masterpiece, adding the creamy frosting and blueberry tart made it epic. It's not too sweet and every bite let's you appreciate the entirety of it. Pair it with tea and be prepared to be drawn into Nirvana.

Since I'm a tea drinker, I love how more salon de thé's are popping here in manila. I remember the days when we'd go to cbtl and have scones with my friends then hope there were proper tea shops around since we didn't want to resort to hotel lobby's and their tea rooms bec that would still be different and they'd have lesser options anyway.

So I went here with my bf and guy friend (yes, I bully them like that & force them to have tea parties with me too) and I'm happy to say, we all enjoyed it. I love how fancy the place is but better yet, because the food is superb. We had clam chowder, pumpkin and tomato soup. Each one was delicious. The chowder have lesser of that seafood flavor but was good still. The pumpkin was creamy but a little too sweet though it paired well with the foie gras it came with. We had the chicken pate with foie gras and jams which was divine. I love pate's and their's is reaalllyy good, especially with the tomato jam and the caramelized onion. Perfect choices for sweet and savory. The serving is huge, so I suggest you don't contaminate the jar so you can have it to go, they do have a container for it and they also sell it by the jar. For our mains, we had the shrimp linguini that was delicious! I loved it so much! They do not skimp on the shrimp btw! The pasta was ok for me but the guys said it was a little over-cooked. The salmon is ordinary but cooked just perfectly.

For tea, we had the marco polo paired with the strawberry shortcake. I enjoyed our tea of couse but I think when it comes to their pastry and sweets, it's very much still close to french baker taste but a few notches better.

This place is awesome for dates and if you want to go dine in a posh and relaxed ambience. As for the price, be prepared to shell out a little more than usual but do enjoy the fact that the food is great and the tableware is so fancy Ms. Minchin would approve!

This is seriously the BEST Shrimp Linguini Pasta I ever had! Can't get over how good (and HUGE -- good for 2 moderately hungry peeps) this dish was! Okey, moving on... I also tried their paté (yum!), Iced Tea (aprub!), and dessert platter which consisted of some fruit tarts, eclair and macaron (triple yum!) The place was cute, cozy and very French, but might come off as a bit intimidating to some. We paid a little over 2K between the 3 of us and we think this is quite reasonable since we ordered a lot of food -- starters, salad, mains, drinks and dessert!

I'm a westerner, I love bread. This place always makes me think of my mum and Grandma's kitchens.

The smell of the baguette straight from the oven! Get there early enough in the morning, grab a hot baguette, tear off a hunk, slap some real butter on it, and live.

Oh, and if you're curious, they are really generous with their tasters. Go and sample and enjoy.

It was the first time we'd heard of this French bakery/cafe, and the menu sounded promising, so me and my family had a late lunch here.

First of all, interiors are great and I love the French tea-party ambience. 128077 Waiters could smile more though.

My sister ordered the Foie Gras & Mesclun Greens salad, which she said was good. The serving was SO tiny though 128563 It was like a circle of lettuce about 2 inches in diameter topped with some foie gras.

We shared the chicken vol au vent with wild mushrooms and gambas pasta. The chicken was good, and I loved the mushrooms and the sauce it came with! Vol au vent apparently means cooked in bread. The bread it was cooked in was wonderfully buttery and crunchy.

The gambas pasta was also very flavorful - it wa spicy and even a bit sour? Still liked it though. 128522

I'd definitely come back here to try their baked goods! They had samples of cookies that we tried and they were really good 128522

*Sorry for the lack of food photos to my review backlog. I had my phone reformatted.

If Paul is the mainstream Boulangerie, Lartizan is the hipster version. The ambience and theme is almost similar with its high-end looking french style food place. But Lartizan, however, seems to have a more “homey” and warmer feel. I loved their chocolate croissants and their fine selection of tea and macarons. The table bread they served us was fragrant and freshly baked. You can tell from the crunchy sound the bread makes when you squeeze it firmly. Pricing is slightly lower as compared to Paul’s. Service was excellent but their waiters may need to learn their menu items a little bit better. The bottom line, Lartizan is a perfect brunch or merienda place for you and your friends or for some casual business meetings.

Great place for late lunch/afternoon tea. The place is quiet, cute and gives you this eclectic feeling that you're really actually in a small cafe is paris. I forgot the actual names of the food we ordered but the cheese and shrimp pizza was super good! The crust was thin and loaded with cheese! The pasta we had had shrimps too. In red sauce with flat noodles and was loaded with garlic. Very good!

For dessert we had this (picture inset)! They called it the dessert degustation. The fruit tartes were not too sweet. It was light and not too heavy. Oh and i ordered this rose infused iced tea which tasted like rose but was sweet and refreshing. I like it here. I would definitely come back here and bring my lola, mom and sister or even my best girlfriends! The interiors were very chic. So on your next girl bonding sesh, be sure to bring the ladies here! 128077

Quiet and cozy. Old jazz music. Classy. Light cream and delicate interior. Dainty. My idea of a perfecf date with self -- when you want to be in a contemplative mood. Lights are bright enough you can even read a book.

I had my flank steak done medium rare -- and it's satisfying for my taste. Tenderness is just right. The basket of complimentary bread is too much for one.

I'm emptying myself from the stress and info overload of the day. I'm loving it.

Will definitely be back for solitary comfort :)

Went there last tue night for an early dinner. We had the shrimp pizza, mushroom ravioli, and banana and Nutella crepes. Pizza thin and crispy but was small, about 6 inches. Loaded with shrimp. Didn't try the ravioli though, I was still full from my chimay beer from Draft. Crepes was good. They give out bread basket with butter after you order. Great service. You'll love their table linens and silverwares. Will comeback for more eating. Good job sir Johnlu!

First: if you try to put up a frenh resto or tea house, make sure that your staff know how to pronounce your menu correctly. (Sayang, with all those fancy rococo interiors, great ambiance and menu, attendants who could pronounce it the french way would make it a complete french tea house experience.)

I Ordered for the thé vert citron and vert provence. I really liked the taste of vert provence. I find their tea a bit bland for my taste. I'm not sure if it was their mix (how it was prepared) or their teas basically taste very light. It seems that it tasted 50% of the tea flavor was only there.

Anna, our attendant explained to me about their preparation and all of the stuff but I wasn't convinced. She was nice enough to offer me another round of pot just to make sure that I get satisfied or to prove her point. I declined as I was going to another meeting.

Pistachio cake was good though it was too buttery/lardy.

Verdict: quite satisfied. Definitely will go back again to see if it was their mixing or simply their tea tastes really light.

My 300th review!! 127881128077128076128591

We had our sunday family lunch here a couple of weeks ago. My sister wanted to try this place out not only because their friend owns the place but also because they've been hearing only great things about it. Lartizan is under the same group as the famous bakery shop French Baker which is also why the concept was a bit similar.

Upon entering, i immediately noticed the aroma of the pastries. The smell only made our stomach grumble even more because we were already so hungry that time.

For starters i ordered salad and for my main dish, I got the pork stew. Both dishes were just okay for me. What i loved was the one my sister ordered, the gambas pasta. (The one in the picture) need i say more? It was really so good. Next time i'll come here I already know what to order.

There is no better place to dream of Paris than here!

This has got to be a major favorite in my books - for time alone, time for a date, time with your mother, or with the girlies. A very posh and classy French cafe yet reasonably priced. They have a tiny menu but it is aptly suited as French dining is not one of plenty selection and big servings.

I can stare at their walls and gaze at the ceiling all day. Sigh!

I've tried almost everything on the menu, except dessert selection, and I don't have anything but praise. (Be warned of the small portions though. Not for the starved.)

Come visit and dream inside their lovely cocoon.
