Just before we ended our last night in El Nido, we visited Las Cabañas just to see the sunset. The place we stayed had several mountains and limestones that covered a portion of the sky, hindering us from enjoying the sun's beauty.

To get there, we took a 15 minute tricycle ride worth P150. One tricycle can fit up to five people so it's only P30 each. Not bad considering the reward of a spectacular view.

Before reaching the beach, going down numerous steps is required. Upon arriving, we saw a sea of people dancing around a local band playing really good music. It was really tempting to just stay there and party the night away128131🏻

Bad news: There was an island that covered the sunset!! 128528 So we had to go up to see the whole view. The flight of stairs was no joke. It made my legs really sore since we literally ran up to catch the sunset. Good thing we found a perfect spot along the highway that overlooked the sea. Absolutely mesmerizing! 128525 A perfect way to bid El Nido goodbye.

On our last day of tours, we decided it was now or never to see the sunset. 127749 Since El Nido is facing the west side of Palawan, it gets a good view of the sunset. But you have to go to select beaches to get an unobstructed view of the sunset by the beach. We couldn't get a good view of the sunset from where we were staying because it was being obstructed by one of the islands.

We asked the hotel staff at Sea Cocoon Hotel where we can get a good view of the sunset and they suggested Las Cabañas and Nacpan Beach. My sister only saw that Marimegmeg Beach is also a good spot but the staff told us that Las Cabañas has a better view so we went there instead! 128077🏼

From our hotel, Las Cabañas Beach was a 15-minute tricycle ride. A tricycle can fit about 5 people and the ride would cost you Php 150. So if 5 people got on, one person would be paying Php 30. Another option that El Nido has is if you rent a scooter for a whole day and you drive on your own.

From the highway, you have to take a set of steep stairs down to the beachfront. Right at the foot of the stairs is the Sun Bar which has really funny signs. 128514 "We serve cold drinks as cold as your EX."

Down at the beach, there's a group of people performing really good music and tons of people watching the sunset. However, the sunset by the beach is being obstructed by one small island. 128531 So we took a few shots by the beach and headed back up the stairs and looked for a better spot up on the highway.

Up on the highway, you have to walk a bit till you find this small hill-like structure that has a great view of the sun setting right beside the island. 127749 The trip was so worth it! 128525 I really do love sunsets!! One of the things I look forward to whenever I go to the beach... or anywhere for that matter. 128541 Hehehehe!!
