Last night, we decided to watch the game here at Cafe Cubana. Good thing we called in advance as there were a lot of reservations made that night. We were seated at the side but since there were a lot of tvs, we were still able to "fully" watch the game. 128513

And that's the only thing we liked that night. The fact that we were able to watch the game live with an uber energectic crowd! 128518128077🏼

The chairs were not comfortable. Parang random chair lang na kinuha! 128529 Food was okay. Overpriced!!! 3 cheese panini was not good. Ang kapal ng bread!! But the fries was good. The nachos was okay. It was supposed to be Nacho Grande but it was just cheese, jalapeños, and olives. No meat!!! 128563128561

Aside from the nachos and the panini, we also tried Las Paellas' Chicken and Shrimp Diablo something pasta. Since they share the same space, you can order in both restaurant. Was expecting it to be extremely hot and spicy but what was served to us was sweet and not spicy. 128563 Was really disappointed with the food they're serving here and at Cafe Cubana. 128566128534

Annnnnd lastly.... Service was BAD. There were only 2 servers for everyone. It was hard to get their attention. We even had to ask for water personally at the bar. 128531 Even others were complaining already that the manager in charge was out helping and talking to the annoyed customers. Basta, ang sama and lala!! 128566

This is the most confused resto I've been to. From the name, I (and I'm sure you would too) assumed that they served Spanish food but when we looked at the menu, 85% of it was Filipino. The only itema that had Spanish influence in it was the paellas, gambas and chorizo; and that's about it!

Disappointed with the choices, we opted for crispy kare-kare and "Spanish munggo," with the chorizo bits--which, unfortunately, was the only ingredient that gave it the Spanish taste. Don't get me wrong, the munggo was delicious and I would definitely recommend it, but don't ask me about the kare-kare. It's so bland, I hate myself for eating it!

And don't get me started with the service. Pleasee..

Still the best in paella negra for me! Too bad they left Glorietta. The frozen brazo de mercedes was also worth going back for128523. All the other dishes, which had unreasonably small serving sizes, you can skip. But the paella negra, you do not skip. Service was kinda slow, but... The paella negra was worth the wait.128522

Was looking for Korean cuisine but ended up here 128523

We tried their Paella which was pretty good (others found it a bit salty) but some just enjoyed it so well 128587

Their Kare-kare was okay but the meat was too crispy it's almost "makunat" 128517

Service was fine too. 9786

Paella!!! Something we craved for as lunch, though it is not a very common dish to find. So we decided to dine here since we were along the area. What we ordered were:
Gambas al Ajillo, Calamares Fritos, Harvest Salad, Paella Valenciana and etc. The dishes were good, but the serving size is bad. You order something thats good for two or for sharing, when it arrives to your table you'll be shock that it appears to be good for only one person. Talk about a very convincing menu at would decieve you pretty well in size of dishes. Sadly was not able to take a photo of our order as proof of the serving size. But this place is not good if your visiting with an empty stomach wherein you came from fasting or skipping breakfast for brunch. Sorry but just can't get over the serving size since we spent nearly Php 2,000.00 for dishes that did not fill up our stomachs well but the taste was great. Too bad its only good for a number of chews.

My friends and I went here for dinner. We were so excited to try this as there are only few Spanish food places in the south. I'm glad they did not disappoint our taste buds (well, not entirely). We tried each other's orders just so we won't limit our food experience to one dish per person. 128514 Comments on our choices below:

Chicken Al Ajillo - I ordered this and I say the chicken was heavenly. It's boneless chicken with garlic and chili sauce. I would have loved this if the rice wasn't hard, cold and difficult to swallow. Ugh. 128078

Angus Tapa - It looks like a typical -silog meal but very meaty and flavorful. I really loved their tapa but same comment about the rice.

Seafood Paella - Taste-wise, it was okay. My only complaint is that it had too much sauce. Almost as if you're eating red lugaw. But my friend said that it wasn't like that the first time she went so that says something about their consistency.

Crispy Kare-Kare - Love the crisp and taste of sauce. Just a little too oily for me.

I enjoyed the food despite the negative aspects. It's a bit on the expensive side though considering the serving size. The service was okay. We just had a bit of a problem with the bill since they charged us extra for food we didn't order. They fixed it right away but just to be sure, always double check your bill. 128076 They must be hurrying to close and go home. We were the last to leave the resto at exactly 11pm.

I would definitely come back to try other dishes and take a photo next time. 128514
