LASA Bistro serves tasty classic Filipino dishes with a modern twist. The place is average in size, clean and cozy.

We were immediately served some complimentary colorful puto with Aligue Butter spread that was just crazy good! 128523 I think we asked for refills 3x since we were all starving 128514 I also bought some of the aligue butter since it was soooooo yummy! Hello cholesterol!!! 128531128055

Here's a rundown of what we tried -

128681 Empanada - crispy with meat, salted egg and vinegar 128077🏼

128681 Liempo Sisig - Not a fan of this one which came with mayonnaise... I prefer the regular sizzling sisig.

128681 Crispy Binagoongan - the pork belly slices were not tender but everyone else seemed to like it 128513

128681 Kare-Kareng Crispy Tadyang - 128070🏼a very different take on the usual kare-kare, it had tempura style veggies scattered around.

128681Sinigang na Lechon Kawali - Not a fan of this one, the soup lacked the tangy flavor and I prefer Lechon kawali as is and not soggy in my soup 128541

128681 Laing & Gising gising - pretty typical

128681 Bagoong Rice - served with slices of green mango, this one was tasty 128077🏼

Overall a good meal but pricey.... Servers were really nice and efficient 128522

This is their Kare Kareng Crispy Tadyang. Too pretty to eat right? Had doubts on how to eat this. I mean...how?!?! They had a Japanese take on the veggies here. They fried it well. The crispy tadyang pieces were fried well too. The kare kare sauce wasn't overpowering that would get one the "umay" factor. It was good! Three thumbs up for this! 128077128077128077 (May tatlo akong thumb?!? Whuttt?!?)

Karekare had a different presentation, the veggies were deep fried tempura style as seen in the photo (sorry there was only one beef tadyang left in bowl) and the meat was fried too. Had the sigarilyas in gata bagged since we were ok with the veggies in the karekare.

Food was okay but find the servings too small and delivery of food items takes long that we ended up buying more rice since the rest of our orders is still not there. Had an incident when we changed our orders but both were served and lucky enough we checked our bill only to discover both items were still charged though we did did not ordered it in the first place. Waiters are attentive always refilling our water.

Two thumbs up for the food! Ate dinner here two consecutive days. Thai-inspired crispy tilapia and sisig are the best.
