Wonderful place! I would have preferred to be seated at the main dining area instead of the lobby area, but it's ok. :)

Caesar salad- steady
Grilled tuna belly- super good
Rib eye steak-super good!

Just a side comment: they should have better steak knives. I had three on the table, first two were unsharp knives.

Every Saturday Buffet Dinner. With good choices of dish, great garden or inside ambiance and cool weather, the price of P980 per head is ok. Service is 5127775.

The next morning, I was excited for the breakfast buffet at Le Chef. For 750.00 Pesos, you know you are paying for the best breakfast buffet menu in Baguio City. The buffet is as good as Manila's 5 star restaurants. They served breads and pastries, Asian cuisines including Filipino breakfast like beef tapa and longganisa, pancakes and waffles, omelette cooked with ingredients of your choice, congee, fried noodles, cereal and yogurt with real fruit toppings (strawberries, blueberries and cherries), various marmalade, salads, cold cuts and various in season fruits and a whole lot more. Did I include bacon? For the video, you can visit my youtube channel and blog.

Meanwhile, here's a shot of our first and second round. I finished up with black coffee.

We made a reservation for Le Chef as we wanted a formal sit-down dinner for our honeymoon. However, the person who took the call failed to inform us that they only have the buffet for Saturday nights. I am not a big fan of buffets and the only reason I wanted to eat at Le Chef was for the steak. They did not accommodate our request for an ala carte meal (the person we talked to was very dismissive as well) and since it was already late, we were forced to eat at the buffet. And the buffet is not that good. Waste of time and money.

Manor in general is a 5 star hotel at par with international players but still far from Shangrila group. Excellent service and amenities at affordable rates. Resto has good food and view of the hotel grounds. half the price for kids but deadly wine corkage at 650 pesos per bottle. over all still great!

This is my 1st time to visit the manor despite the number of times I have been to baguio. Also, my 1st time to dine at one of it's resto.

When we went there during the APEC week, the Le Chef was reserved by some group of organization thus we weren't allowed to go inside. Luckily they still allow walk in guests outside the resto where there were tables and chairs (Although i think this area is a waiting area at the lobby but they re-used it for walkin guests cause the resto was reserved)

We ordered the tenderloin steak which for me was delicious. We requested it to be sliced in small parts so the group can share it. Along with it is a side salad. I liked the goat cheese served with it but didnt like the dressing so much as I am not a fan of vinaigrette. The gravy which comes with the steak was also good.

We also ordered the blackened salmon, the fish wasn't fishy, was soft, tasted fresh and i liked the small potato and beans served with it.

We also ordered a spicy beef pasta but i didnt like this one very much. The whole dish for me was weird for me. Ithinknits because of the combination of the ingredients that as didnt feel like i was eating pasta.

Serving time was roughly 15mins for all the orders. They served all our 3 orders one at a time so while we wait we just chatted.

Le Chef is probably one of the best restaurants in Baguio! I really like their salad with marinated salmon. All the flavours blended with the dressing and the veggies. We also ordered their Pasta Ala King with angel hair pasta. The red sauce was very flavourful and the pasta was cooked perfectly. We also had Ribeye Steak at medium rare doneness. As expected, it was very juicy, though it is lacking on flavour. It was also a bit hard to slice, but it was still good nonetheless. Le Chef's ambiance is superb! It is probably the best in Baguio in terms of ambiance. They have a viola trio (did I phrase it right lol) who played European songs. The matching fireplace was perfect also! Overall an excellent experience :) GJ, Le Chef by Manor!

Dishes that cost a pretty piso doesn't necessarily equates to good food.

Take in part Le Chef's Marinated Lamb Cutlet. As seen on the photo, the lamb was cooked to my liking (medium rare). Unfortunately the lamb was under seasoned. Though I couldn't place it, it lacked that "something".

The rosemary jus used to glaze the lamb was too much much for my palate. The photo shows a fresh sprig of rosemary, but what was used on the jus was dried rosemary. It gave it a too strong of a woodsy taste. When using fresh herbs, the taste will be more subtle yet flavorful.

To pay almost 1K for a dish was an overkill. In an upscale place like The Manor, a mediocre dish was served for what should be an gastronomic experience for food lovers.

As we were tired after traveling from several hours (including a stop at my mom's hometown in Pampanga earlier in the day for their fiesta), we decided to eat at Le Chef at the ground floor of our hotel instead of heading out. I love the cozy ambience here, with stone floors, lots of wood furnishings, and the option to sit at the veranda for some fresh air.

My mom and I shared the Le Chef salad which was pretty good. The veggies were crisp and fresh, the dressing light and refreshing. The shrimps were huge and juicy. Overall everything blended well in the salad.

For the main course, I had the grilled lapu-lapu. This usually goes with pasta but I requested to exchange this with vegetables which they were happy to do. Plus point for Le Chef! The lapu-lapu was grilled to perfection, still tender and moist inside.

Being Le Chef, the prices were a bit high but given the quality of service, the food quality and the ambience (and its location) this is a bit expected.

As we were staying at The Manor, it was inevitable that we would have breakfast at Le Chef. The breakfast buffet spread was decent but mostly standard fare: it had a selection of fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals, breads and pastries. There was also an egg station where you could order your eggs cooked as you wish, or turn them into an omelette. Of course there was also rice and various Filipino and Western dishes like bacon and adobo.

One standout feature is the taho station - you can actually get fresh taho with either the traditional syrup or with strawberry syrup. Of course I had to try it with the strawberry syrup! Not bad but the tofu was too firm. Usually the more silky type of tofu is used.

The price was a bit expensive in my opinion, about Php720 per head. I guess if you have a big appetite then it's worth it, but I don't eat a lot so I barely ate my breakfast's value.

After going to Mines View and Good Shepherd, as scheduled we went to Manor for dinner.

We ordered steak and shrimp and grilled lapu-lapu with pasta. The food are great. The wine is good.

This is the BEST Hamburger ever!!! My dad sent this photo when he was in Baguio awhile ago and made sure that i'll review it here on Looloo. So here it is and yes i've tasted this before and it is so perfect! So so so yummy! Plus the fries are perfectly cooked. Its a bit pricey but its so worth it. Surely I recommend this to all of you. A must try! 128077

Nice ambience. The foreigner harpist was good. Steak and Prawn is delicious but the presentation can be improved. Belgian Chocolate Soufflé tasted better than the Orange Marnier Soufflé.
