One of the classic Chinese restaurants in greenhills, Le Ching has been one of the institutions for years in the area. They are very known for their spareribs rice (210 pesos an order). I've always been seeing pictures and reading reviews of this from another foodie group and so have decided to dine here since I was in the area.

Serving was generous, it was served hot and it was good and flavorful. It wasn't salty and "bony" so I liked it. However, I feel it's quite similar to other steamed spareribs from other Chinese establishments in binondo. Nevertheless it was good and I was satisfied with my meal.

We had spareribs rice, chicken ma-chang, hakao, and beancurd rolls.

I thought we ordered a lot for 2 persons 128517128523 I was really full after lunch. I was craving ma-chang for the longest time and I’m so glad they have it on the menu.

Le Ching. I missed you. 128525128523

One of our fave eats in Greenhills is this Chinese restaurant in Shoppesville. The food is delish and their chili garlic is gold, I could just eat it up. It might choke me a little bit due to its spiciness but I'd die happy.

What we ordered:
Asado Pork rice topping
Spare Ribs rice topping
Hakaw - pure shrimp yo!

This is very filling. Next time we'll get 1 rice topping and more dimsum. 128513

I was actually looking forward to dig in to a restaurant I grew up eating in. Whenever my mom is in the parlor, we either stop by or I get money so I can eat here alone.

Almost everything was a failure. For one they didn’t have Spareribs rice that i really like. The Hakao was a big disappointment. From picking it up it crumbles from a bland taste. The other dimsums either had full of wrapper, bad after taste and too salty.

The only thing going was the fish congee which had a lot of toppings and the spicy chili! Maybe just maybe it was just a bad timing. I’ll come back.

This is a late post. After looking for a costume to no avail, we decided to eat at Le Ching since it was ages since I ate here. When I got to look at their menu, I was shocked at how high the prices are already. We ordered sparerib rice and beef wanton mami and beef brisket rice. All were not so good as the spare rib ruce was dry, used to be saucy and oily, which is the way I liked it. The beef brisket was a tad a bit bland and the noodles was soso. Killed my feeling of reminiscing the past good food. Sorry but won’t be back.

I have been hearing good stuff 'bout Le Ching from the foodieverse. Abe C has nothing but praises about their Beef Brisket Rice and the infamous condiment - Chili Garlic.

I aint a fan of Chinese Food but when it comes to Hakao, i am willing to make an exception. I love dem dumplings.

We were having a serious case of the munchies. We drove to Greenhills, endured the long wait time to get a parking slot and speed walked to Le Ching.

Pork Spareribs Rice. Chunks of pork lying atop white rice. The meat is tender and flavorful. This dish will be a gazillion times better when you add an obscene amount of chili garlic and soy sauce.

Hakao. Man, this is a steal at Php 130! You get four pieces of plump dumplings. I love the fact that theirs can easily compete with the big brands. You get quality without spending too much

I shall return, Le Ching.

The smell of Le Ching, can't be denied. It has stood since Greenhills was build several decades ago. Yes, it might smell weird from the outside but the food was still good.

Spareribs Rice and Beef Brisket Rice were both Php198 each. My favorite is the latter part cause it's 2/3 rice and 1/3 viand. Which is the perfect ratio for me plus it's mostly meat.

The siomai (Php130) was expensive though it's small for the price.

Taste is satisfying for Beef brisket, Spareribs toppings and steam broccoli. They have big servings too. Downside is limited service tea na, unlike before they serve 1 pot and unlimited din. Staff is not in friendly mood this time. 4 stars for them I believe.

Had late lunch here with my friend, I ordered chicken and mushroom and hers was the best seller spareribs. It was okay, their sodas are too expensive! 60/can, not worth it.

And the place is always full128553

Le Ching is best visited lunch time so that most of its bestsellers are still available. My sister and I didn't have breakfast so we were up for one big heavy lunch here.

My sister ordered Steamed Chicken with Noodle and Soup. I only got to taste the soup which was served on a separate bowl. It smelled good but it was a bit bland. I got my usual, Taosi Spareribs, and it tasted good. The meat was soft though sometimes it lacks a bit of flavor so I had to put soy sauce on it. We also shared Pork Siomai which was really tasty.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! Ordered Spareribs rice and siomai. Good thing I ate the siomai first. It became my habit to check on the food before indulging to see if its clean (just being careful) and GOOD HEAVENS I SAW A DEAD SMALL COCKROACH JUST RIGHT BENEATH ONE OF THE SLICES OF SPARERIBS COVERED WITH TAOSI SAUCE!! At first I thought it was just black beans (as the typical taosi spareribs comes with it) but I was horrified when I checked up on it closely and saw legs!! Thats when I confirmed that it was indeed a cockroach! The waiter was quick to remove it so I was not able to take a photo of it. The manager apologized and offered us to get something instead. But we opted to just leave since we've lost our appetite knowing that the same cockroach might be cooked together with the whole batch of spareribs they have for that day. Too bad, used to love this place but never again.

Hey guys! Been gone for a while. Since we still have hangovers from CNY let me make a review for one of the best Chinese cuisines in the metro. Le Ching!!

One of the places where the best spareribs are located! At 180php you'll get a bountiful of spareribs perfect for a tired and starving tummy from hours of shopping. It might look like it's not enough but youll be full in no time. The meat is soft, tender and is best paired with chili sauce!

I also ordered pork siomai. Nothin extraordinary but it's still worth tryin. Flavorful and I think it is bigger than the usual thing.

The place is always jam packed so they opened another store in Greenhills. Just one proof that the place is really good. It is also one of the go-to places in GH!

My go-to meal in Le Ching is and will always be Spareribs Rice despite it being pricier (Php 175) than other Chinese restaurants with the same ambiance and look (in short, those restos located in Binondo). I like how the taosi spareribs were tender and not so hard to chew. Their rice serving is always too much for me so I end up not finishing it. Maybe if they could add more servings of the spareribs, I can finish the whole meal right away? Hehe. This time we also tried their Shark's Fin Dumpling which was okay. It was not as tasteful and flavorful as their Pork Siomai so I would still go for the latter. We also got their Crispy Spring Roll which just tasted typical. The dish had nothing special but it was still yummy.

I just hope their service will continue to improve as our group had to follow up most of our dishes before we were able to start eating :(
