I love bread. I really live bread. And those croissants are not cheap. Especially when freshly made! I remembered momma bringing home half a dozen of assorted croissants from this place since they had a buy one get one promo. She brought home chocolate croissants which really lacked the chocolate, cornbeef pandesal, chicken pandesal and beef stroganoff I think. The beef was nice though. The flavor was just right not too over powering.

After training, my gf and I together with a friend ate at S & R's new york style pizza in puregold cubao. Then we heard that Up Dharma Down will be performing in sm mega mall for that coffee event. UDD is one of mu fave bands, great songs and awesome playing live. One of the best opm! After jamming with udd, i decided to buy something for my grandmother. I remembered the review of Ms. Aileen L that croughnuts here are really good. I went there and the croughnuts are nowhere to be seen! Good thing they're making a new batch so I decided to wait even the waiter said it'll be for 30 mins. Well, it is worth the wait my friends. These critters are really really good. Premium belgian chocolate, mixed berries with cream cheese and the parmesan cheese croughnuts. I can't even compare them all! Next time maybe i'll buy a dozen of them croughnuts!

Bonjour!

I was craving for cronuts127849127849127849since yesterday and when my daughter Adelheid L heard about it, she said to her dad "papa gusto ko matikman yun".

Hubby went to work today and when he got home tonight he was holding a paper bag.I thought it was Cronuts from wildflour but its from Le Coeur de France!yey!128077

So hubby had a take out order of Cronuts 127849127849127849for us which he bought at Le Coeur de France SM Megamall branch. It's our first time to try their Cronuts. This are the items that hubby bought for us:

☑ Chocolate Cronuts - hubby bought two pieces if these. The sizes of the Cronuts in Le Coeur is smaller than wildflour but size doesn't matter it's the quality. It is more chocolatier because of the tiny chocolate chips found on top. Each cost 89 pesos.

☑ Mberries- at first I am not interested with these flavor but when you bite and bite the more you will appreciate it. Hubby bought two if these and cost also 89 pesos.

☑ Parnessan Cheese Cronut-the appearance is not tempting to eat because it just looks like ensaymada and not a cronut but this one stands out. It is unique! Something to look forward cronut128077127849. Cost also 89 pesos.

☑ Beef stragnoff croissant-reminds me of my favorite shepherds pie at Bag of bean.Cost 85 pesos.

I am a cronut lover. I am a cronut explorer and the Cronuts at Le Coeur de France...Tous Bon Nuriteur!!!All Good food it means in French128077

Okay, since "Croughnut" is a hype thing, and I can't even taste the famous croughnut at Wild flour cafe because of what I heard and read (1 hour of waiting in line), I just decided to try croughnuts at le couer de france. Its good that they bake it continuously and is available all day. At 89 pesos each, it is still cheaper than wildflour's and also comes in a nice small box. You can also buy a box of 4 croughnuts for an easier to carry box. They only have 3 flavors though: double belgian chocolate, blueberry and parmesan. My favorite is double belgian because its just right. Not too sweet and the custard inside is delicious. Other breads are also good tasting in le coeur and they have buy one take one in the afternoons so its affordable. You don't have to wait until closing time for a discount unlike french baker and minus the long lines. The staff in le coeur are friendly and its nice to dine in since the place is not that crowded.

It's the battle of the cronuts (or croughnuts in this case). Next up, Le Coeur De France.

Out of 5 128077:

Taste 128077128077128077128077 (except Wild Berries, which I didn't like too much)
Texture 128077128077128077
Filling 128077128077128077128077 (except for Wild Berries, again)
Price 128077128077128077128077 (at Php89 a pop)

Flavors: Double Belgian Chocolate >= Parmesan Cheese >>> Wild Berries.

It's also smaller than Wildflour's.

Passed by and saw they had croughnuts. I tried the mixed berry variant, which has a fruity topping and a cream cheese filling. It was good but pricey at 89 pesos.

Cronut tasting exploration! This time its Le Coeur de France in SM Megamall.

LCDF's cronuts are much smaller than Dolcelatte and Anybody Coffee. But the price is way at a premium. You have to shell out 89 pesos each for this petite pastries. The size is really a turn off.

It comes in a box of four. With flavors ranging from chocolate, blueberry and parmesan.

Texture wise it doesn't have that croissant texture. Though the flavors are quite good.

Le Coeur De France's take on the "croughnut"- for P89 we got the Belgian flavored one to try. It was small, around 4" in diameter, 2"high, it was dense, had a tasty custard filling across the middle and topped with a thick chocolate coating with choco bits sprinkled on top of that.

Verdict: Wildflour's was better by a mile.
