Place was great and well.maintained. The rooms have just the right size - with an automatic toilet and a TV in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was also good though quite limited on the choices. Will definitely be back :)

Doing reviews for my past hotel experiences...

I was born and raised in Baguio, so it's something thrilling for me to stay in a hotel just to relax (If you know what i mean cuz Baguio's just a small town).

We got a presidential suite with 2 king size bed, a bath tub and a veranda.

First, it's very accomodating since the hotel is located in Camp John Hay so if you're a tourist it's a perfect place to book for a room. You haven't been to Baguio if you haven't been to CJH!!

We went here for relaxation and so I'll be giving a few tips for tourists :)

FOR THE FOODIE
There's a restaurant near the lobby. But if you want a bit of an exploration, there's a lot to choose from in CJH. I suggest you to try 'Melt' for it is one of Baguio's pride.

FOR THE FITNESS ENTHUSIAST
There's a gym plus a heated pool overlooking the pine trees! I strongly suggest that you experience this cause there's no other place in Baguio that can offer you this. Imagine yourself relaxing in a pool with a view just like in movies. So awesome! Oh.. you can also have almost the same experience in your bath tub!128076Btw, they accept walk-ins for the swimming pool :)

FOR THE ADVENTURER
Tree Top Adventure would be perfect (I made a review for this) and Paint Ball (?) I am not so sure 999699969996

Overall, it was a great staycation. I hope it helps and If you'll be staying here, give me a comment! :)

P.S. Toilet time was my favorite. You'll know why once you stay there!

After 100yrs we were able to go back to Baguio again and try to reminisce old memories of our younger years....

Manor was booked all through out summer thus we tried Le Monet wc is within CJH premises.

We booked 3 rooms a junior suite and a couple of deluxe rooms for the fambam.

Note: Junior suite rooms has a forest view balcony and a larger room ,one thing they didnt inform us that it doesnt have AC , while the smaller deluxe rooms is fully airconditioned ....

Food: So much rave about the bfast but i found it ordinary and most of the viands were overcooked

Service: Not so bad, you get what you paid for..Most of the staff were helpful and friendly

Ambiance: Flies flies and flies are everywhere....plus the stench of horse turd from time to time upsets my nostrils

Price: Maybe a little overrated in my opinion, we paid P8k for the junior suite per night

Heated pool was more like a dipping pond
Wifi was intermittent as well
Room service food needs a lot of improvement

Lastly i think they need to reinforce wallings between the rooms as we heard moanings/groanings from the adjacent room and wondered if they were playing chess hahaha

This is our staple hotel when in Baguio. It's modern and complete with just about everything you need when you're out of town. We love the location of course and the staff are really nice. The rooms are not spacious but it's ok, the veranda with the beautiful pine trees makes up for it. It's clean and has decent bathrooms with japan robo-toilets, which I hate because I think it's disgusting when you share it with others (ocd & bathroom issues128587). Breakfast buffet is good too! We tried the other hotel, which I'll review later and I'd say this hotel is better and we'll stick to Le Monet.

Le Monet Hotel can easily be found inside Camp John Hay, just beside the Filling Station.

Le Monet boasts of beautiful and well appointed rooms with the Le Monet Garden as your awesome view every single day! Our room had two 2 comfortable twin beds and all the basic necessities that you could possibly need. See the ceiling fan? That’s pretty much all you’ll ever need any time of the day because air-conditioning is not needed. Plus points for the private balcony. Another spot to relax during downtime with the pine trees as your backdrop and the soothing smell of the pine trees which only Baguio can offer!

They also have a modern toilet bowl that with just a push of a button the toilet seat instantly warms up! Perfect for the cold Baguio weather. The bathroom may not be big and it may not have a tub (which I don’t really mind) but its clean and functional. And oh! Le Monet Hotel bathrooms have mounted TVs inside! Perfect for your intimate (and difficult) toilet moments. It’s the perfect potty partner!

So when visiting Baguio, make sure to book a room at Le Monet Hotel. It’s a beautifully modern and clean hotel with accommodating, courteous and very efficient staff. Considering that I’ve been in the hotel industry for a good number of years, these are important qualities that I always look for when I search for places to stay in.

Had such high expectations for this place as they are known for good breakfast but we ended up disappointed with our experience. We ordered a la carte since the breakfast buffet was already closed. We had the usual silogs. For about 250 bucks, you are supposed to get the meal with soup, coffee
Or hot choco and some fruit. The only thing that came on time was the hot chocolate. We had to wait for 30-40 mins for everything else. What
Made it worse was the food wasn't even hot and the rice was hard to chew on that it felt like they were leftovers from the morning buffet. The soup came a few minutes after the silogs, it was a creamy purée of something that no one in our group and make out of. The only saving grace was the coffee. Too bad this was our final meal in baguio before heading back to manila.

We wanted to really enjoy our stay here in Baguio so we decided to stay here. I've read good reviews about this hotel and they all had a great stay here. And the fact that they offer egg's ben for breakfast! OMG!! That's something I'm really looking forward to! 9786128077

The hotel is located inside Camp John Hay. I find the location very convenient since there's technohub, mile-hi, tree top adventure, filling station, outlet stores, "tourist spots" and Baguio country club's near, as well.

Room:
Our room was big enough and clean. There's tv inside the cr!! 2 big (queen sized) beds that's super comfy and soft we really had a good gooood sleep here! Plus we had a nice view of the pine trees at our balcony! Also, they have free wifi that's really fast (except during the MayPac fight) 9786128076

Breakfast Buffet:
Buffet was okay. I can't say it's the best since service was not so good. They were all over the place and parang ang gulo. Marvin was really nice and helpful, though.

What I really am looking forward was their egg's ben so I went straight to the egg station. The one in charge (probably an intern) was busy since there were a lot of omelet "requests" so when I asked her, she said that their egg's ben is not available. 128529 When I came back, the chef was there so I asked her and she told me that they do have egg's ben. The same exact thing happened on our second day. The chef told me that the hollandaise sauce was not available so there's no egg's ben but then when we asked the manager, it was available. 128527 Egg's ben was actually good. 128522 there were a lot of dishes available - breakfast food (tocino, bacon, sausage, longanisa etc.), cereals, pastries, salad (veggies and fresh fruits), drinks (coffee, juice). What we enjoyed was the fresh fruits especially the strawberries!!!!! 128525127827128077

After an adventurous Sagada vacation, we had to stop-over in Baguio to break the long drive back to Manila into manageable segments. Our chosen rest stop was Le Monet. Far cry from the simple life in Sagada but a little bit of pampering every now and then never hurt anybody. 128516

Our family room had two large queen sized beds with fluffy pillows and nice, crisp, white linens. The room opens into a small porch that faces the pine forest. Fresh mountain air fills the room easily. The bathroom is classy and even has a small TV with cable feed. For the ultimate in pampering, I guess nothing beats a fancy all automatic electronic toilet with a seat warmer!!! 128525128525128525. Pardon the pun, but this throne is certainly fit for a king!!!

PS ... I can think of a hundred other toilet jokes but will keep it to myself for fear of being banned from looloo. 128521128541128518128514

Wasn't able to take a picture but the the buffet breakfast is good. They have a wide selection of available dishes-- yogurt, cereals, longanisa, hotdog, on-the-spot omelet, adobo, sweet ham, BACON!!! Tapa, danggit, fruits, salad, breads, jams, etc. there were three rows of, i think, 5 dishes each. Drinks are unlimited orange-lemon, four seasons and milk. I read somewhere that it's one of the best buffets in baguio--true that! Havent tried and buffets in baguio other than this, though. Hehe. Not much buffet restos in baguio. But the food is real good. Plus of course, the ambiance. The chairs are sofa-like with large back rests (sosyal-looking) and the interiors are wonderfully arranged with nice decorations for christmas. They have a high ceiling. It was my husband who paid for it but i think the fee is 450/pax. Very nice place to eat at when you're in baguio.

Backlog

I wanna do a separate review for their breakfast buffet. This one's solely about the hotel and its amenities.

I went here to visit a friend who works here. The place is a property of Hotel Rembrandt. The hotel is strategically located near tourist attractions in Baguio. It's very accessible for commuters as you can walk to the main road where practically all jeepney routes pass. And taxis in Baguio are impeccably much better there than in Manila: cheaper, safer and more comfortable. 128522

The rooms have very comfortable beds and pillows!!! No a/c, just the Baguio fresh breeze to keep the suite very cool and cozy. I loved how the towels were folded, like a suit. Wi-fi's fairly quick in the room and in public areas. Bathroom's equipped with a heated toilet seat (so cool! Remote-controlled!) and an automatic flush! And the bath amenities are so fragrant! 128525

They have a heated indoor pool and it's so refreshing to take a swim with a beautiful view! 128522

I will definitely come back!!! I am counting the days until my next visit!!! 128513128513128513

The buffet is decent. Not all dishes are good, but the notable ones were:
- Bacon: the best!!! Crispy and so tasty.
- Tapa: this was delicious. Especially the taba (the best part).
- Eggs Benedict: it was my first time to see eggs Benedict at a breakfast buffet. They were alright.

The service was pretty bad though. There was only one person making the eggs Benedict, so we waited an hour before it was served.

FIND THE FISH!

I've tried their ala cartes, steaks, and buffet for lunch and dinner, and I have to say that I am utterly disappointed. Not to mention that for the past year, I've gone here to dine during off peak and peak seasons.

Ala Cartes:
The chefs (or should I say cook?) has poor cooking techniques. The fish and chips (pic attached) was terrible! The breading was so thick that it could pass as a pancake already. The gambas is always overcooked, making it rubbery. The chicken ala king apparently is a pie with mostly mushrooms than chicken. The steaks? They do not know their temps and it is either too salty or the wine was too much.

Buffet:
This my friends is not worth it. Choices are little and lacks techniques. The food is either overcooked or salty, thanks to the high heat and duration the food sat on the heating tray. Even my friends from Manila who tried it here were either not impressed or utterly disappointed.

This review is only for their SPA:

Well, there isn't really A spa but mere massage rooms so don't get deceived by their poster. My experience is nothing like in the picture.

First, They have this receptionist who was as rude as she looked. They have nothing much to offer except get reservations. They don't even have list on rates and other services.

Massage rooms:
Not very clean and sanitary. There were somebody else's clothes hung inside. Good thing i still had a nice massage from the therapist which they outsourced.

Take note: bring cash and know how much you are going to pay.

So again, there is no spa.

Reservation:
it went smoothly and despite a few numbers of cancellations and re bookings, they still maintain that eagerness to welcome you.

The hotel:
The place smells so good, so clean because it really is clean! Their restrooms are spotless and again i will say it , smells so good. And this is really very important to me.

Their provisions for towels is too limited. Just 2 towels, that's it. Some rooms have no air conditioning but with the cold weather, no need! Just open the sliding door and let the fresh air and scent of the pines come in. I guess that's the whole point anyway.

There is not much to do in the hotel though, except for the spa and the nearby horse back riding. If you are with a big group, ask about their outdoor movie watching by the garden.

Facilities and rooms:
The rooms are very well kept. And i was so amazed by their hi-tech toilet.

The spa:
At first i got confused. when i entered it was a gym but then again it said " spa and gym". It would have been nice if they separated the spa and gym and gave the spa a more relaxing and inviting feel.

Note: Better bring along cash and know how much you need to pay because the massage service is outsourced.

Food:
Yikes! Generally a hit-and-miss -trial -and-error experience for us. There was no consistency on the tastes: some too salty, some too sweet, some just ok. But big servings!

The Iced tea was tooo sweeeet! We had to make a few splits that we ended up having bottomless iced tea, which was good for us.

Bottom line:
it's a good hotel, a very nice place to stay just don't expect to much and just enjoy what they have to offer.
