I got interested to try this place after reading reviews about this. Being a fan and admirer of Korean culture and food, I took my sisters and boyfriend to this place. The place looked small but the second floor interior looked good. Airconditioner seems weak and we were still sweating.

As for the food, for their appetizers, they had a potato salad which is a first I have seen as an appetizer. It was good. Mashed potato mixed with a few vegetables and spam I think. They have their kimchi, bean sprouts, and vegetable (I forgot the name) with gochujang (spicy sauce). Besides that, we ordered fried mandu, kimchi fries, bulgogi kimbap, korean fried chicken, and their best seller, cheese buldak.

For starters, the servings are not that big. You will need to buy a lot so you would be able to eat a lot but not to be so full. To actual food review. Fried mandu were served as 6 pcs. I liked their fried mandu. I prefer fried than steamed mandu and I like theirs. Kimchi fries lacked the taste of kimchi. It wasn't even spicy, which is how kimchi tasted. If you want to taste kimchi, you'd better get the kimchi that was an appetizer and eat with it. Nothing special but cheesy fries with some meat. The kimbap taste like any good kimbap. Korean fried chicken was small. I could've eaten at other korean fried chicken restaurants with lower prices and bigger servings. My sister ordered it and we gave it a shot. It was sweet and boneless. As for the highlight, cheese buldak. It's described as spicy chicken with rice cake topped with cheese. It was mostly the taste of chicken that you would taste. You couldn't taste the rice cake immediately. I expected it would be the cylinder shaped rice cake that was cut into pcs that would be included. However, it was the thinly sliced oblong shaped rice cake. Since we took home leftovers and reheated it, it was only then that we were able to fully taste the rice cakes. I was so sad at the lack of rice cake or that it isn't tasted much. I love korean rice cakes so this made me sad.

I also saw from our table beside us that the servings of other meals such as bibimbap and stews really look like fit for solo servings and not for group serving.

Overall, the experience felt lacking. I expected more of it. I guess this is fit for small groups or individual orders than group orders.

Thursday afterwork eatout with my co-therapists at work and also a mini-despedida dinner for Jan Therese C.. Why do people leave? 128532 Haha #drama

I never expected this restaurant to be serving Korean cuisine because of the name. Also, from the outside, they have such a very simple/basic feel. Actually not that interesting because of their facade, but the interior (specifically the second floor) looked nicer with better decorations.

We tried their Spicy Squid and Bibimbap. Squid was cooked just right. Not so chewy nor too soft. Bibimbap was good but not the best I've tasted. Both dishes were really spicy. It had me sweating a lot LOL!

What I did not like though was their airconditioning system. Medyo mainit. 128531 The server too was not that familiar with the dishes... It was time consuming asking her, and then she would take time asking another person to verify. 128513

I could've given them four stars because the food was good, if not for the service and AC units. Me sweating a lot (because of spicy food) means me wanting good airconditioning. They also give complimentary drinks and ice cream if you both post a photo in your social media accounts and review them in looloo and other review apps. 128527 Also, I did not like how the servers had to keep on verifying if we uploaded it already and had to be double checked and other stuff before giving us the freebies....making it superrr hassle. Alang-alang sa libre? 128514

The place is cozy.... You can take time to eat your meal slowly while drinking their Soju Kamikaze drink. A great way to enjoy korean food with family and friends. Food is really good!!!! Cant stop munching from one dish to another.

This place is awesome! It's a small, little restaurant that can be easily missed, but a true hidden gem in Tomas Morato, I must say. Leann's Tea House may not be a looker but she sure can kiss! :)

The restaurant is very clean and has a homey vibe to it. We tried several dishes including the ban chan (kimchi, potato salad, bean sprout), Seafood Pancake, Omurice, Galbi Jjim, Kimchi Fries, Kimchi Pasta, Cheese Buldak, and their Frozen Teas.

The Galbi Jjim was phenomenal! The chunks of short ribs were tender and braised to perfection. Definitely cooked right as there was a slight chew that you want for a tender fall apart piece of meat. The soup broth was tasty too and not flavorless or bland at all. If you need seasoning, they provide hot sauce but really the scallions they provide in the soup are all that's needed. It came served in a large stone-like pot. There were ample amounts of potato and carrots. Fair warning though, if you order this dish, be prepared to wait for a few minutes for it because it's cooked to order. This dish alone definitely deserves a 5 rating...can't get any better than this.

I also am a fan of their Kimchi! It's the perfect combination of hot and sweet. It's crunchy, tasty, fresh, and something I would buy by the jar, if offered. Another highlight of our tasting was the Cheese Buldak. It is a dish of bite-sized pieces of chicken covered in red sauce(?) and topped with gooey, stringy, cheese. The chicken was so tender and wonderfully flavored. It's not as salty as you think it would be considering there's a generous amount of cheese in it. The sauce isn't too salty either and really makes the meat taste so much better which I didn't think was possible.

Have I mentioned their Seafood Pancake was AMAZING too? It's crispy in all the right ways and even though this dish was pan-fried, it was not oily at all. Dip the pancake into the sweet soy sauce they give you on the side for a happy dance in your mouth!

All in all, I had a great time at Leann's and would definitely return to introduce more people to the amazing Korean food that they serve here. This place is cozy, meaning, it's kind of small so you might have to wait for a seat. Be patient, it's definitely worth it. Parking is tough but we managed to find street parking a few blocks away.

In my opinion, restaurants that keep it simple are usually the ones that succeed and judging by the customers that kept coming in the time we were eating, this place is no exception. Please check them out if you haven't already.

Cheers
Mickey

Who would've thought that Leann's Tea House is actually a Korean restaurant?! Hahaha. At first I thought that it was a Chinese restaurant because of the "Tea House" lol. Anyway, we were invited for a food tasting with Forkspoonmanila, Thebaldbakerph and Manilaeatup. The owner is a Chinese-Filipino (She's the one who handles the restaurant) then her sister got married to a Korean national so they put up a restaurant. They both loves to cook, the Korean (husband) adapted their family recipe to Leann's tea house and that's the reason why the name of the restaurant is Chinese-ish (Because of the girl) but they serve Korean food (Because of the guy) :) Nice idea right? :)) Let's move on to the food.

We tried their Galbi jjim (Korean beef stew) - Hearty, tender and very flavorful. That's all I can say.

Galbi (tender short ribs) was good.

Tonkatsu kimbap - Kim/Gim means dried seaweeds and Bap/Bop means rice. It's like a sushi in Japanese. It's made with steamed rice and rolled in dried seaweeds wrapped with tonkatsu. I liked it!

Cheese Buldak - If you're a fan of spicy this is a must-try. It's a spicy chicken with rice cake topped with mozzarella cheese.

Kimchi rice was good and also their omurice. It's a fried rice wrapped with omelette.

My favorite korean restaurant, yet! I'm so lucky because it's near our office that's why I can satisfy my korean food cravings asap after work. :D I love how yummy their food is plus the staff are super nice and friendly. :)

The side dishes are my favorite and You get 4 upon dining in plus it's unlimited too. the potato salad is my fav. Together with their super delicious samygeopsal that's only 249 pesos!! They have unlimited beef and pork for 449 pesos. Really worth it!!!

My other favs would be the tonkatsu and bibimbap that's so huge, yummy and affordable. :D

Overall, it's a nice place with great food. I wish they'll have more branches in the metro though. Thanks again Leann's for the yummy korean food and great customer service! :)

This hole-in-the-wall along Tomas deserves a bit more attention than given. It's such a promising restaurant that serves authentic Korean cuisine and some, with a twist.128522

For my little get-together with friends, we decided to order dishes we personally found interesting and had them to share. We got their bibimbap, japchae, fried mandu, samgyeopsal and tonkatsu kimbap. The bibimbap definitely outshone the tonkatsu kimbap and the rest that we ordered, but the later was still very filling and super tasty if you like something breaded and crunchy; love the texture too! The bibimbap, on the other hand, was the winner of this meal. The subtleness of the spice worked well with the generous servings of beef, veggies and egg yolk. You can only imagine how good it was when you get a spoonful of everything in a bite! Ahhh!128525 Sulit especially if you want to pig out and you're super hungry!

Btw, Jenn N you were right when you said na parang Chinese restaurant siya. Hahaha128517128513

My brother's turning 25 next week and (surprisingly) treated us to an early birthday dinner last night. I was asked to choose between Leann's and Sambokojin, as if it was my birthday hahaha! I chose the former because I think Sambokojin is a bit overrated, and I wanted something that's home-cooked and authentic.

Don't let the name fool you, they don't serve Chinese food!

We got there before 6pm, and I proceeded to order because I was already hungry. HAHAHA!

We got Steamed Mandu (P140), Bibimbap (P210), Japchae (P210), Spicy Pork (P220), and their Tonkatsu Kimbap (P250). Plus, we all had Unlimited Samgyeopsal and Woosamgyup (priced at 449/person) which was really sulit!128076🏻

Dining in a Korean restaurant won't be complete without banchan, of course! And my favorite was their kimchi, even though I don't really eat kimchi. Most kimchi's are soggy, and have that strong kick and "gumuguhit sa ilong" feeling which I hate, but Leann's Teahouse's kimchi still has that crunch, and a subtle kick of spiciness that makes you want to have more. I wish they would include kamote cue in their banchan though!

They only have Fried Mandu on their menu, but they can steam it for you if you want.I always like my dumplings steamed because I think it's more flavorful than having it fried. 128517

The Tonkatsu Kimbap was unusual, but it really worked. It was an instant hit among our officemates too. I like that it doesn't fall apart when I eat it. 128521

Basically, I loved everything that we had! HAHAHA!128540 I had to stop myself from eating too much!
I really liked their Spicy Pork. It was tender and flavorful, perfect with plain rice, or an added topping to your bibimbap. But me? I wrapped it in lettuce! 128076🏻

The surprise of the night was their soju-infused cocktails. Yes, you read that right. I actually had 3 that night because I could barely taste the soju. It did kick in while I was on my way home, and boy did I get a good night's sleep! HAHAHA! I tried their Yakult Soju, which has, well, yakult, soku, and Sprite. I also tried their Soju Kamikze, which I really liked too, and had 2 glasses. 128517

I would love to come back to try their other dishes and cocktails! And maybe buy a bottle of kimchi. I highly recommend this place! 128077🏼

I would have given 5 stars, but it was a bit hot inside because of all the grilling, and there are limited parking spaces.

Had my birthday date/dinner with the boyfriend here because I have been craving for korean food.

Was surprised that they took out paradise passion out of the menu. That was out favorite :(

We had the LA galbi, mandoo, and bulgogi kimbap. Everything was good as usual but they ran out of kimchi :( a korean restaurant ran out of kimchi :((

Redeemed the last of our Groupon vouchers for Leann's Tea House... I love how easy it is to redeem the vouchers for their food... No hassle and so easy to reserve seats... Parking, on the other hand, is a bit of a hassle, so prepare to come early... FYI: they are closed on Mondays...

We were here on a Thursday night, still there were a lot of patrons... We were eyeing the Unlimited Samgyeopsal for P350, but this promo isn't available for those who purchased vouchers... Understandable, so we will have to go back for that!128522

For our appetizer, we tried the Fried Mandu... It's 6 pcs of fried dumpling with glass noodles and veggies inside... It looks very delicate, perfectly fried into a neat pyramid shaped dumpling... Sulit for P100... We ordered the Tonkatsu Kimbap, their rice roll wrapped in breaded pork... It was pretty good but a bit big for one bite! Plus it breaks apart when you bite into it, so it was definitely messy... But very filling...

The Bibimbap accompanied an order of the Sweet Dak Gui, chicken barbecue marinated in soy sauce... I must say I'm getting a hang of Korean cuisine... I really enjoy the food in this place, not too oily, very filling, and very affordable... All we ordered plus drinks for around P850... Great value for money and great service!128522

Unli Samgyeopsal soon!!!128077

A small place that serve Korean food with modestly designed interior. The place although not big is very neat & clean . Even their rest room are well maintained.
Service is good, you can ask the server to refill the side dishes over and over again. We likes 2 of their side dishes.. Mashed potato salad with boiled egg cuts and cucumber and their mixed veggie kimchi. Meanwhile, their LA galbi (beef short ribs) is a must try! 128077 Their beancurd seafood soup
is not bad.. Priced at only php300 (good for 2), with 3 pcs big shrimp inside, 5 pcs clams and 4 pcs tahong
