My staple everytime I'm in Legazpi sunday market are pesto naan and garlic & cheese naan, both from bait lehem. For Php. 120 per pack of 2 big naan, it sure is a steal. 128525 They are so good I can easily finish a pack in one seating.

The things I don't like about this sunday market are: it tends to get really hot before lunch time, the place is quite small and that there's not enough dessert/pastries seller. 128542 But I will still be happy to visit this place once in a while.

You've probably noticed that I am here every Sunday. For one, I live close by, and mainly because the food is delicious. I love supporting local and small businesses. Everything here is expensive af, but pretty good. There are some tasty dishes for a decent price, like Juana Bowl's rib eye steak, so juicy and tender for just 200PHP. But these past few weeks I decided to try other things.

We've been eating the tuna, 180PHP for a huge chunk of tune belly good for two people. It's char grilled and fresh that's why we love it.

But this Sunday I tried I 10084 Longganisa. Iam a sucker for longganisa, the garlicky ones. The meal was for 150PHP with your choice of longganisa. So I picked the assorted ones; Vigan Longganisa, Calumpit Longganisa and Bulacan Longganisa (sweet). I ordered an extra egg for 10PHP.

The Vigan Longganisa was authentic, nice. It was my first time to taste Calumpit Longganisa, and it was actually pretty good. And at least now I know what Bulacan Longganisa tastes like, never doing that again. Not really a big fan of sweet longganisa, but now at least I can say I tried. Haha!

We tried Brooklyn Chicken for 120PHP. The chicken was okay, but we liked the mayo dip and the dirty rice that comes with it.

Then we tried the Quarter Pound burger from Monster Burger with extra Australian cheese for 125PHP. The burger tasted like Brothers Burger. Like, really. Haha!

And last but not the least, my favorite of them all, Cheese Pemiento from Mantequila. Super delicious! 130PHP for this baby!

Everything in this place is so expensive. But the food is good. I just haven't found any good drink here. As in lahat ng nag titinda ng palamig e hindi masarap. Dunno why.

Tuna Belly's good though. May isang vendor, puro ihaw lang tinitinda nila, that's where we bought it. Tuna Belly is super fresh and juicy, for 200PHP. Totally worth it.

Lol! Thanks for the reco guys!

FINALLY made it to Legazpi Market a few weeks ago... It was pretty early on a Sunday and the sun wasn't blasting it's angry rays at us mere mortals just yet... But it was already humid, without even a hint of a breeze... We watched the stalls open one by one, the people busily fixing their equipment, while the early birds were already peddling their wares... People were already milling about, some with their cutie dogs in tow, buying fresh organic produce or enjoying taho and coffee...

We were happily picking veggies ourselves, perusing the antiques, and sampling the cheese from one of the stalls with a very intense and knowledgable European explaining the differences of each one... We ended up trying Warung, serving up great Indonesian style food (they have a stall at Kapitolyo already) and trying the churros... I liked both, but there are so many choices available! The bagnet looked so good and sinful but it was a little too early for that!128513 Since we were early, the fried mushroom stall that Julie J recommended wasn't set up yet... But no matter! We had a quiet and lazy morning at this lovely Sunday market... 128522

Enjoyed this community Sunday market, you can shop for fresh produce, fruits, meats, dry goods. You can also enjoy different kinds of ready to eat food, both local, asian, middle eastern and western flavors. We chose lical food, beef tapa with rice and scrambled egg. Ordered extra Vigan bagnet, not fried but baked on site in their stone pugon. We had Adam's ice crean, the ambassador's butter cream flavor, a rich, buttery cream with pieces of home-made almond brittle candy.

There is this place in Makati where you can stroll on a Sunday whenever you want to try something new.

The Legazpi Sunday Market!

It's at Herrera st. cor Legazpi and Salcedo V.A. Rufino st.

The Legazpi parking lot. People are friendly, delicious food are left and right! A normal parking lot on ordinary days but on a Sunday it's a place of feast and gathering of different colour and hue.

and i'm fan of these fried finger foods! 128076128526

Busy community weekend market with many stalls selling food, souvenir items, fresh produce, plants ,flowers and dry goods. Many of the food shops are owned by expats selling their native food. It is a gastronomic galore. There are also many expats who patronize the place.

Today we tried our comfort food, tapsilog by OLD FASHIONED TAPA, thinly sliced beef tapa, marinated with lola's secret marinade, quick fried, served with steamed rice topped with a sunny side up fried egg. We had a perfect, satisfied lunch.

This is what I love about Sundays. This is where I get my fill of Nasi Goreng and Beef Rendang. I loved the Moroccan dishes and ofcourse, Bagnet!! This place is a feast of flavors, I would've wanted to try everything in just a day! Don Churros serves one of the best churros in Metro Manila and you can get some here at Legazpi Sunday Market. There are stalls that sell organic fruits and vegetables too!!

The Legazpi Sunday Market is one of my favorite things to do on a Sunday morning. I love shopping for seasonal, freshly picked produce, direct from the farm. Overall, prices are reasonable.

I tend to shop at certain vendors for specific items like lettuce, carrots, herbs, and fruit. My favorite bread is also sold here. There are always unique produce items that surprise me every visit (sugar cane, purple cabbages, wild mushrooms etc.).

I also enjoy grabbing a bite to eat while people-watching. Makati is always full of interesting characters peppered with the occasional celebrity sighting.

Parking is easily found on the street if you come in early. Make sure to bring reusable (eco-friendly bags) bags. You will beed them when hauling your goodies around. Have a great time exploring the Legazpi Sunday Market!

Cheers,
Mickey

The foodie therapists of QC have finally pushed through with the long planned Makati food trip. After a few months of juggling up our schedules because of the busy and non-agreeing scheds, this day has finally arrived!!! 127881127881127881 Not all were able to go though but five people was not bad.

This is my second time in the market and there were some new faces aside from my favorites.

Here are the stops128678we made on this visit...

1128678 - PINGGU MUSHROOM FRIES 511088
One of the biggest factor that motivated me to go back. 100php for a bowl with your choice of dip. I still stuck with my garlic mayo! Try it i swear! The person manning it told me they're gonna be in Century City next weekend for a food bazaar! 128527128527

2128678 - FALACO TACOS 511088
I am sure they're new! People were lining up and it's one of the busiest stalls so it got my curiosity. Wow and wow. They made great tacos! Super worth it! Got their Beef and Chicken variants. Liked the beef more but both were so good! Loaded with cheese and other toppings! Something new that will make me come back! 120php for two tacos of your choice. They also have breakfast tacos with potatoes and egg! I wonder..

3128678 - BABCI PEIROGI 511088
So cool my first three stops are just beside each other! 128525 120 php for three pierogis. I recommend the Potato Onion Cheese and Beef Veggie Cheese! Love these two. The potato first them beef. Tried the Babciana Chicken and it was okay.

4128678 - ASHIBATA TEA 411088
Got this again as refreshment from the humid heat.

5128678 - DON CHURROS CHURROS 411088
Great tasting churros at an affordable price. Not as good as La Lola's in terms of quality but price wise, it's a super good deal! This is on my top two/three churros! Must try! The chocolate dip is heaven

6128678 - KIMBAP 511088
From a new stall i think with Korean stuff like kimbap, kimchi pancakes, etc... So good!

7128678 - KIAM PUNG 311088
Sold at a stall selling oyster cakes with the (quite) noisy and inviting Chinese dude.. I think was just an ordinary kiam pung. My mom, grandmom, and aunt make way better versions 128517

8128678 - FRESH SPRING ROLLS - 411088
My friends got this so idk which stall. I just tried from hers. It's light and really good!

9128678 - GREEK YOGURT
Refer to Isha S's review soon. She got it and it was not the yogurt I expected. Guess it's legit 128517

Everytime I visit sunday market I always tell my self to try something new but still I'll end up waiting for my plate from warung warung 128514128514128514
I dont know much about Indonesian cuisine but it seems legit. 128076

I heard that they have the best sambals in the country which is a tarditional indonesian chilli, and I myself who is not a chilli lover digs it! 128525128513

Packet 2 is their best seller which consist of a pork stick sate, nasi goreng, corn and tofu fritters and an egg and eggplant with sambals on top.

The one in the photo is not the actual set meal, it just so happened that they were about to close when I came and almost everything was sold out, but they manage to create a meal for me and its still good! yey!

I would definitely recommend this to everyone! 128513

Ps. Say hi to the 2 palitaw in the photo haha also a favorite :))

Foods that I have tried were Japanese pancake--which the vendor gave me a wrong one, i ordered the hazelnut but gave me a creamcheese but I'm in the mood so did't complain & just eat it since it tastes good and still hot-- the Corndog, I can't remember the taste anymore so maybe that's it nothing special-- & the Barbecue they have long line so we thought that it has special flavors on it, I guess its just lunch time but its delicious just that doesn't have that wow effect.128074🏻
We had such a short time, so haven't been able to explore more.

One of the reasons why I miss living in Makati. The food options are not only extensive but there really a lot of delicious choices. One of my ultimate favorites is the roast beef with mashed potato. I also like the ilonggo grilled dishes. Their inasal tastes authentic especially the sauce. I always get lemongrass juice because it's as good as Niu's.

Went around 8 am and the place is already crowded and busy. We are really planning to try as many interesting food here as we can and made sure we have enough space for everything. 128055

And then I found this shawarma stand that is selling wagyu shawarma as their best seller but they also have regular beef or chicken as options. They are preparing one for a customer before I ordered so I noticed how generous the serving is that it is really filled with meat than veggies like what other shawarma stalls are doing. I am already convinced this will be my appetizer. 128513128076🏻

The wagyu beef is really tender and tasty and the tomatoes plus cabbages used are really watery fresh that every bite is just oozing with flavors not to mention the thick white garlic sauce and hot sauce made this shawarma heavenly good at every bite. 128523128523128523

Did I mention how generous the serving is? I am already full just finishing this shawarma! Mission failed. I just again forced myself to buy and share the popular mushroom fries from Ping Gu for the sake of trying something else and it did not disappoint. I will be back for those shrooms really really soon. 128541128541128541

P.s. Attended mass here and it started 9am. Good thing the weather is not too hot and actually breezy like Chris Brown. 128113🏿
