Wow! It's been a while since the last time I submitted a review. 2015 was that bad huh? Not really. I miss my former favorite food buddy though. Anyway, Hello 2016! Week 1 was tiring. Law school life is about to come to an end. How time flies. It has been 5 years? Wow. Anyway, Since it was a stressful week, A decided to take me out for a quiet dinner date. Well. Lemuria has always been my favorite place. I just love everything about this restaurant! Let's talk about their food: My fit date decided to have fish. Haha He ordered their Salmon. He said it was perfectly cooked and the Salmon was fresh. I ordered Sea Bass with risotto. I loved it! The risotto was not that creamy but it was full of flavor. For dessert, we had their strawberry cheesecake and cafe latte. THEY STILL SERVE THE BEST CHEESECAKE EVER! This time it came with their homemade vanilla macaron ice cream. Imagine how happy (the baker in me) was. Thank you, Lemuria for always making my tummy happy! Will definitely go back :)

Bad bad bad (LATE POST) DEC 2014
We decided to celebrate our 3rd anniversary at Lemuria because we have a tradition of eating french food every anniversary.

Service was good, I find that the servers were GENIUNE. Hard to find people like that these days.

first Amuse Bouche was bland and felt like canned tuna with under-baked crust

Escargots felt canned and mushy. Maybe defrosted then freeze that killed it's protein and ended up with no bite

Then the cassoulet, that is not even close to a cassoulet.

Dessert was good! That's all I could remember.

Sad, the place was really lovely tho. :(

Service: for a fine dining restaurant there service is not good, I won't even rate there service too a casual dining restaurant, it's just bad. You feel that the staff are not trained or experience. Every time we follow up an order they will say a time but the food will not go out at the time that they said.
Speed: I know this is not fast food but I don't understand why we need to wait for 15 minutes for lemon grass drink and 32 minutes for our soup, I was thinking because they will out all the soup together but no, they gave my niece first then my sisters soup and what's weird is my order and my brother in laws order are the same and still it didn't go out together.
Even our main dish everything was off sync they served the pork 15 minutes before the other dishes that's why my friend when our food arrived her food was already cold
Food:
Plating: all the food was played good and very creative

Bread - good
Seared Veal and tuna tartare - veal is good while tuna tartare not good at all
Feta and Watermelon salad - pretty good
French Onion Soup - too salty
French Onion Soup - it's ok
Mushroom and Gruyere - taste like from a can with Gruyere cheese
Mushroom Gnocchi - taste good
Baramundi - good but portion is small
Quail two way - portion really small taste 4/10
Kurubuta Pork Belly - tasted bland
Herb Crusted Rack of lamb - has a weird taste
Seabass - under cook
Soufflé - too much rum and dense
Opera - this is actually good
Cheese cake - sucked big time

Overall experience is very bad, I wished we are dinner somewhere else seriously.

Top-notch service from this hidden gem in Quezon City. From the guard at the gate to their waitstaff, I really have to commend them for their fabulous service.

The Walnut Bread they serve to all diners was a great way to start meal. The server suggested the Pan Seared Foie Gras for starters and we were not disappointed. This 100 grams of melt-in-your-mouth goodness was just bursting with flavours. The honey & balsamic reduction really went well together and the candied fig added a nice touch to the dish. Another dish I loved was the Sea Bass with Mushroom Risotto. The sea bass was super moist and the risotto was really good and tasty.

The Grand Marnier Soufflé was super light and moist but I kinda missed the oozing chocolate from a normal soufflé. Lemuria's version is you make a hole in the middle and then pour in the Grand Marnier mixture. Loved the plating of this!

They only serve one kind of red & white wine by the glass (the others you have to order by the bottle) and the server was nice enough to give us samples of both wines so we could choose. The only disappointment of the night was the Mushroom Gnocchi. The portion was tiny and I found the dish to be a tad salty so I had to take out one star for this.

All in all, I found this to be a great place for intimate affairs. From the cozy ambience to the great service and food, you can't really go wrong with this place.

My awesome boyfriend M and I celebrated my birthday last night. We tried the the Infinite 8 Degustation (8 course meal) with wine pairing.

All I can say is that we had an awesome experience! I looooove everything in the infinite menu. The sea bass, pork belly, and herbed lamb chomp were really really good. The cheesecake lover M said that Lemuria's cheesecake is the best cheesecake he ever tasted.

This is our new favorite date place in the metro :) We love Lemuria as much as we love Antonio's :)

Great food. Great service. :)

Misael Martinez is the service manager who ruined my mother's 70th birthday celebration tonight at Lemuria.

Not just because he denied us the joy of surprising my mother with this life sized standee of her (pictured above this review with me posing with it ) at the restaurant; but because he also had the nerve to argue with my father when my Papa raised this concern to him.

3 major points of customer service missed by Mr Martinez:

1. Denying a birthday gift to be displayed at the restaurant by our table for reason that it would bother other customers. hello, it's a gift?! It's not an ad or commercial material. Plus we were a table of 10, the biggest group there tonight.

2. Telling my father off when he complained about it. Whatever happened to never argue with your customers? Plus the fact that He argued with an old man. Did I mention my father is 74?

3. He argued with me when I intervened. "Eh kaya nga sinabi ko nga sa kanya noh eh pwede na eh," in an exasperated / rude tone. If it was "pwede na noh " why deny the request in the first place? Then there was the line from him : "Don't speak to me using that tone/ using those words." Uh, yeah tell ALL your customers what they cannot say.

Mr Martinez should learn from the waiters because their service was fabulous and the food was delightful. However my family and I will never eat at Lemuria again.

My husband ordered herb crusted lamb--this photo (not mine, though)-- and I ordered lamb with apricot. Had fois gras trio and onion soup for starters and chocolate soufflé for dessert. The next time my husband takes me there I am ordering exactly the same stuff (except for the soufflé, it tasted sour. Weird.) <3 <3 <3 The place is beautiful, esp at night. I sort of forgot I was in Manila. Brought me back to Europe.

I don't have any idea about it so I'm really surprised. The place is not your ordinary date place. Wow, just wow.

An oasis in the busy streets of QC. Lemuria offers an escape from the mundane city life. A refreshing ambiance and great food complete the package. Topped with an attentive staff and then you've got winner.

Celebrated our 144th wedding monthsary 128526🆒🔂 almost a year ago na pala! Nainggit ako kaka monthsary celebration ni Theresa L kaya ayan, do that math!

I think we got what we paid for. Sayang lang weve never availed of the promos that they come up with once in a while. So I suggest you guys keep on the lookout for it. Loved all that we ordered, esp the foie gras, prawn bisque and seafood risotto.

Dont go there broken hearted as most diners are there on a date. If masokista ka and want to feel infinitely miserable, post it here on Looloo if you do go hahaha

Do go there if you want to impress a date or take an intimate dinner with your loved one to catch up. I suggest you reserve a table by the small balcony if you want a little more privacy. They have tables facing the door kasi and its kinda awkward to both walk in to the room and unconsciously look at whos going into the room too.

Their garden is so lovely that we spent a fairly long time in one of the benches after dinner enjoying the evening breeze. Sarap sana mag PDA dun kaso thats not our thing (daw) .... Sad...

Food is just a 4 for me but I have to add another star for their lush garden.

Btw, if you pay thru credit card the name of the merchant is Brumms, after their wine store. I had to contest the entry with our bank when I checked my bill (which I did after interrogating my husband why there was a huge charge on wine bought in QC e di naman kami nagpunta dun! Sinong ka date nya?! Hahaha)
