After a toxic week of exams, I and my girlfriends decided to pig out to relieve all the stress away. Since Maginhawa has a lot to offer, we had came out with a game plan of #DiscoveringMaginhawa. While searching through google for a good place to swill, one of the reviews caught our attention with the phrase of "UNLIMITED PIZZA!". OH BOY! Who doesn't love pizzas??? Like c'mon! Haha 128514 So immediately we went to maginhawa.

The place was a little hard to find. Somewhere in matimtiman st. It was like a hidden place. Haha Anyway when we went in, all we can say was WOW. The place was so cozy! Plus if you want a place with a few people well you've come to the right place. Actually when we went there we were the only customers. Right away we asked for the menu and inquired about the UNLI PIZZA. So the promo is Pizza all you can for only P199 from 2pm to 5pm. Sadly we arrived there at 12pm! We were so hungry so we didn't wait for the promo. 128514 So we ordered one of their Classic Pizzas which was the 14" Pepperoni (They have a 10" size too) which was only for P400. We also tried their solo pastas which were the Chicken and pesto and Spaghetti and Meatballs for only P180 each (They have a platter which cost P370). Since we are just students we were in a tight budget that's why we only tried a few. Haha. Anyway the food was great! And servings were large for solos! This was the first restaurant in Maginhawa that i have tried with really legit delicious food! Definitely worth a try!!! 128516

As part of my friends and I's Maginhawa Food Trip, we dropped by Leona's Art Restaurant. It's like a classic house made to a restaurant. This is PERFECT for dates, such a romantic ambiance. Parang I felt like i'm in a 60's or 70's classic restaurant kulang nalang I bring my lola's with me hahaha!

Anyway, I ordered this TOMATO ESPRESSO (The Photo) for P70. And the SAUSAGE AND MUSHROOM PIZZA for P275. And other pizzas which I forgot.
We ordered few lang kasi there's more to explore in Maginhawa.

What I really enjoyed in this place is the AMBIANCE talaga. It's so refreshing, since it's almost sunset the sun glares through the window then shines upon the food being served to us. WOW DIBA. So Poetic haha! That's how nostaligic the place is.

Medyo mainit lang yung aircon nila, i'm nit sure kung dahil maaraw sa labas. Plus if you're going in groups, make sure to keep the level of your voice soft lang cause some people go here to study rin.

Anyway back to the food, I LOVE IT. Medyo salty lang yung timola ng mga food nila, napansin ko. Especially the Soup I ordered nasobrahan sa salt kaya dinagdagan ko pa ng hot water. For the Pizza naman, it's so FREAKIN CHEESY! Hahaha! Which I love. Will definitely come back here hoping I could try their other best seller.

Tip: if you want a good photo and you want to make OOTDs, medyo ala Maria Clara ang isuot mo

[Disclaimer: Late post.]

I was so excited for the Quezon City Food Fest as it sounded so promising. Imagine, gathering all the best finds in Quezon City in one area. It was a foodie’s dream come true. But I wasn’t expecting (1) that it’ll rain pretty much the whole afternoon and (2) that there wasn’t anything special about the whole event. There were no special dishes or offering and every single restaurant was packed! In short, I ended up being a sticky and wet hungry girl.

After an upsetting trip to this new Japanese restaurant I shall not mention, M recommended that we visit his favorite pizza placeinstead. And since I was famished and the two sorbetes cones I bought were about to disappear, I agreed.

Hello, Leona’s Art Restaurant!

The place is pretty small and we had to wait for a bit for a table to clear up. Luckily, the wait wasn’t that long.

Since the place was packed, it took the servers a while to clear our table and to get our orders. But since the owner was apologetic, I was more forgiving this time. (Plus, the sorbetes helped calm me.)

We opted to get the Take Three Pizza Promo for only PHP499 (for 10 inches). For the flavors, Three Cheese and Pepperoni are fixed. We could only choose one more and we got the Garlic and Mushroom. I also ordered the Tomato Espresso (PHP80) andSoft Taco (PHP90). I also got a rootbeer float as drink/dessert.

It took them a while to serve the pizza but my tomato soup was served rather fast.

It was such a shocker though that it was in a very small cup. Literally an espresso serving. But the taste did not come short. It was very flavorful given it was pureed tomatoes. I loved the mix of tomatoes with the parmesan cheese, basil and fried garlic. And thank you Leona for not putting too much cayenne pepper. <3

Next served was the soft tacos and it was pretty good as well. However, it was a bit cold when it arrived. The ground beef was juicy and I enjoyed the salsa. B though went crazy when she saw the tomato sauce that looked and tasted exactly like my soup.

Finally, the pizzas.

The Three Cheese and Pepperoni weren’t extraordinary and it tasted pretty much like those I could get from other pizza places. But the Garlic and Mushroom was love.

Okay, maybe I’m a bit biased here as I love garlic. The flavors were balanced well and the garlic wasn’t overpowering. I’d love to order that again soon!

See you again soon, Leona!

"Not your ordinary bae-con". 128055128055

We've been from a very stressful workloads that day and so we decided to eat at Maginhawa Street, since, it's just few steps away from the office. Leona's Art is our Resto pick for that night, as we entered, the aroma of their pizza welcome us, *that makes me feel more hAngry* the resto is not that spacious but the antique-style of it will make you feel comfortable.

I ordered their bacon meal, I was really amazed by the plating, and the taste was so delightful, the bacon wasn't taste salty nor, over-cooked it's very perfect and the sauce around it, which I think is a curry sauce was really good also.

The staffs arebalso accomodating that they even ask us if we want to take a group picture while enjoying our meal.

So for those who are bacon slash pizza lover you must visit Leona's Art. Easy 5 stars. 12807912788112852510084

Have you tried Leona Art Resto's Unli Pizza Promo? Well you should. One of the many hidden Gems in Maguinhawa eat street scene. Leona Art Resto is located at 45 Matimtiman St. They specialize in thin crust pizzas (3 cheese, pepperoni, garlic and mushroom and Hawai) and grilled chicken pesto pasta. Their unli pizza promo is available for the entire month of September Mon to Thurs (2 to 5pm) for 199 only.

But my post today is one of their specialties that is no longer on the menu. It is their signature pork and apple dish. Their sauce is curry based but not too strong on the pallet. Mix it with rice and the soft succulent pork cutlets and I know you will be asking for another cup of rice.

If curry is not your thing try their Huevos Rancheros Meal. Crispy Bacon, Sunny Side Up Egg Rice and Corned beef. If the crispy bacon did not entice you. I do not know what will.

I just knew Leona's early last year because of the blog I've read that they offer unli pizza for only 199. It was kinda hard to find their place coz it's sort of excluded. I went here with my boyfriend and my brother. It was past 5 P.M. when we arrived here and it has a long queue already. Some of the customers just cancelled their reservation. We opt to wait even we were in the 6th line yet the owner suggested to have a reservation for the next day instead of waiting but they still don't guarantee if you'll able to get a seat. Unfortunately, during that time they don't limit the hours of staying, as long as you want to stay, it's okay. Guess what? We got our table around 8 P.M. and we were so hungry. The place is an old house that converted in a resto and the servers were actually the owners. The ambiance was so homey.

We tried all the flavors of their pizza. We consumed like 10 rounds and we were so stuffed. Infairness, their pizza dough was soft and they served them hot and fresh from the oven. Their ingredients and herbs were authentic which makes the quality of their pizza was good.

Not bad for the price since it was only 199 and it was unli. Their policy is just same as the usual buffet, no leftovers and no take out but you're allowed to buy a whole pizza which is 400+ up. It was worth the wait yet it was too late to had our dinner.

Went to this place one Wednesday afternoon. It was quiet and we were the only customers. 128524

Got their pepperoni pepperoni that had double pepperoni toppings with bell peppers and split their chicken & pesto. I enjoyed both but their pepperoni didn't taste super good. Something was off. The pasta was great though! It wasn't super sauce-y and it wasn't super dry either.

If you want a chill lunch place, Leona is the way to go! 128523

Leona Art Restaurant will always be a special place for me and Paul — this is the first place where we had a pretty romantic date. So cheesy!

And you know what, we found out about this restaurant here in looloo. We were looking for good new places to check in Maginhawa and we found this at one of the articles on Insights!

Upon getting there, you'd be surprised that the restaurant is actually inside the owners' actual house! This very small yet hugely interesting place has so much personality because of the artworks you'll find inside. There are paintings, trinkets, memorabilia, etc. each worthy of your attention.

Leona serves quality pizza that's just overflowing with flavor and everything great we all love in pizzas. On our date night, we had their "Good morning" pizza (something similar with Gino's SMEGG) that has egg, cheese, tomato sauce in it. It's probably the best tasting pizza I've ever tasted in my entire life and I'm not exaggerating! We also had this chicken pesto that's so good and filling at the same time.

They're most popular for their 3-cheese pizza and their pizza-all-you-can promo. To pizza lovers out there, this place should be on your list right now. It's so, so, so lovely!

The branch that I went to was actually the new one near ABS-CBN (It's still not included in the looloo database.) Everyday from 4-6pm, they offer all-you-can-eat pizza for only 200 pesos! For this promo, you can only choose from 4 flavors - Cheese, Basil and Onion, Hawaiian and Pepperoni. Another minor caveat, you need to order the pizzas in that sequence for your first batch. After that, you can get whatever flavor you'd like to eat next. To be fair, their pizzas are really good - super crispy thin crust! Super sulit for the price. Promo is only until March 31. Hurry!128513

I will give 5 stars for their Cilantro Soup! Love at first sip. Ahhh. Justt. Err. 128525 (see pic) and for 90 only?!

But 128078 for their huevos rancheros and mozarella(?) chicken. Hahaha. Maybe their pizza would have been a better choice.

Rustic place and not even close to crowded, kind service too! Affordable 128077

4 stars because the service was bad. Maybe because they were shooting a tv show at the venue that day, well, too bad.

Over all, the price is affordable, cheap actually for the quality and quantity of food you get. It's not big of a serving but it's just right to get you full; and I'm quite an eater. Haha.

I got their 3 cheese pizza, and it was cheesy-licious. Haha. We didn't get a chance to try their "pizza-all"you"can" for Php. 200/person promo but soon, I hope. Hihi.

Also we had their Lemon Cheesecake, it was okay, not a fan of cheesecakes but I liked theirs. The lemon really adds twist and kick to the dessert. 128522128077

The ambiance of the place gives a very homey-vintage-y feel and it really lives up to it's name "art"

Another good news: they have wi-fi and it's really fast. Haha. So thumbs up to that. 128077

Went here for Valentine's lunch. We had a family emergency so all our plans were cancelled, but we had to eat lunch and we decided to breathe and have some food before spending hours in a bus.

Anyway, we ordered their cheese pizza and pesto pasta. Admittedly, nothing ground-breaking. But it was good comfort food for an affordable price.

Also, their bottled root beer is interesting. :)
