I liked their Halo Halo and Palabok. Nothing fancy. Just the authentic taste of these Filipino classics. Worth the visit. 12852512853610084128139

Palabok is so-so but I did love their pork sinigang. Their tokwa't baboy is worth the trip also.. But dahil kilala sila for the 'palabok'.. hindi ba dapat yun ang pina masarap sa menu nila? 3stars overall. Place was clean, parking good for 6 cars only.

"Pagpag". A pinoy superstition that says if you went to a funeral, you need to go some place else before heading home so that you'll not take death home along with you. And that's how we got to Leoning's in Shorthorn. From St. Peter's in Commonwealth, the team decided that we need to make Pagpag and we are hungry at the same time, my boss suggested Leoning's for frugal people like me and the rest of the team. 128513

It was a long table for us, the place was homey and clean. We ordered lechon kawali, kare-kare (orders are 'just for me' size) and sago't gulaman. It took them at least 30min to serve the food. It was given, since there was a sign inside the resto that food are prep upon order--meaning food are fresh and you're pretty much sure that they are not stale and been chillin whole day inside the kitchen.

The food was served, AND WE ARE not DISAPPOINTED. It was sooooo good! Homecooking at a reasonable price!! Lechon kawali was crispy and generous in serving, sisig was good and not masked by liver and the kare-kare was A+.

Leoning's food was soooo good we decided to drop by for lunch the next day. But we called 20 mins prior for reservation and had our orders placed (we googled their menu) too.
Thus, we are not disappointed. :)

** free wifi, friendly staff, try the kare-kare and the crispy binagoongan and oh! The free soup is amazing too! As if it has been simmering all day long (no offense to knorr cubes) and yes you can go for seconds. 128513)**

I love their authentic pansit palabok! A must try!!
But i recommend you for a "to go" order... Cause dining in wont be that satisfying one. Bad ambiance... And their shop is located infront of a memorial chapel (cinco estrellas)...:)
