Lilac is my tummy go to place since its near our house. Tried Leons Bistro and its my first time to dine here. And I must say the bacon wrapped potato croquette really is good. Very flavorful sauce that complements the croquette. Really good deal and value for money. I also love their mashed potato perfect for their salisbury steak. Till next time.

Accompanying my friend on an errand so we agree to meet at marikina, ive seldom been to marikina and was not familiar with the food scene here so when it was lunch time, my friend suggested that theres this place along lilac st. where there are 3 choices in 1 building, sounds interesting.

Lilac street was quite serene on a weekend afternoon as compare to major road like jp rizal and 1 building has this 3 restos: a bustling filipino resto, streetfood concept one and leons.

We choose here coz we feel like having lunch here, maybe coz of the ambiance or steak. Haha.

So we proceed to order. We had tbone steak at medium and this was really worth it for its price. The baby back ribs was just okay but its juicy, and its fatty 128518

The staff were really friendly, i enjoy my friends company, the food was good. And its been a long time since ive been here. 128516

This was the second time we went here. Like the first time, parking was a b****. (On a side note: if I had money, I'd buy a property in Lilac St. and build a parking lot.) Anywho, Leon's Bistro is a small place (can seat abour 4-6 groups) but has a nice ambiance, not romantic but chill, very clean. We ordered the Roast Beef with mashed potato (we had the mashed potato changed to rice because we are rice people), Breaded Pork Steak and Soup of the Day. The soup (I think it was cream of corn soup with shrimp) was delicious and serving was generous. Thumbs up. The Roast Beef was good as well. Tender and full of flavor. The Breaded Pork Steak was a let down. It was too fatty and was too bland without the sauce. But overall, the experience was good. 128077

A quick merienda fix of burgers and pasta one Sunday afternoon

On the table
čö╣Leon's Burger
čö╣Cheeseburger Sliders
čö╣Grilled Chicken Sandwich
čö╣Spicy Seafood Arabiatta - tolerable spiciness, not too sour, generous sprinkling of cheese

The sandwiches basically tasted the same. Burgers/chicken were grilled. Wish they weren't oozing out of the bread. Fries were good of course. Cute catsup container.

We're coming back to try their main dishes next time.

Leon's was a pretty good resto. The food was very affordable and the place was nice. Bought the Aglio Olio pasta and the Breaded Porksteak. Loved the pasta but the Breaded porksteak was mediocre.

Curious to try their other dishes so i might visit again soon!

Enjoyed their potato wedges which was a cross between french fries & a nacho salad (sans the nacho chips). The grilled tuna was good too. But the rest - fish & chips, burger & baked salmon were just ok, not outstanding.

Leon's is a relatively new restaurant along Marikina's famous Lilac Street. The Tenderloin steak wrapped in bacon was very flavorful. I personally liked the gravy/sauce! I'm happy that we ordered this one! The Tbone steak was also good but I'd still go for the tenderloin steak. 128523

Points for improvement though...
- The Tbone steak was a bit hard in my opinion.
- Please prepare enough money for change. The server was asking us for exact amount since they only have 500s and 1000s. What!128531

Got caught in the rain and decided to try the restos at this new building in Lilac. The 3 Restos at the ground floor had simple yet sophisticated interiors. Despite having different concepts and cuisine type, all 3 seemed to have been designed by one designer. Even the boutique / cafe at the second floor was well designed. I wonder what the 3rd floor will house. Spa? Bar? Very interesting place to hangout, eat and shop!

Anyway, i initially tried Leon's Bistro and ordered the Tenderloin steak wrapped in Bacon (P330). In less than 15 minutes, I got my order: Thick, tender and juicy steak cooked the way I wanted - medium! Hats off to the cook for cooking my steak right. Loved it! Well, anything with bacon works for me!!!
