The calamansi tea cake is such a comfort food; I especially love the glaze on top. The avocado cake, on the other hand, was weird for me at first but then I eventually enjoyed it. The frosting was so good it felt like eating melted ice cream.

Hey Lia's Cake!!! Been hearing about raves from work mates about how good your avocado cheesecake and cake are. Had me always curious and wanting to try but had not the chance to visit Kapitolyo. Too far from my place and tamad to go there given this kind of traffic. They also had a branch in Tomas Morato, but already closed. 128542

Since I was in the area for this reunion, I made sure to arrive early to visit Lia's and Silantro. Mission successful. Yehey! 128514 yehey, even when my Uber got a hard time locating the store128514

It's a store of green and purple hues. Quite small space and they have a simple layout. A cake refrigerator, a cashier, and tables for dine in transactions. I ordered the avocado cake and avocado cheesecake. Two at once, but I was not able to finish one so I brought it home. Both were good but not really something I would rave about. I guess my expectations got too high. Deserves a four star review still though. I preferred the avocado cake over the cheesecake. Cheesecake was too sweet for me. Texture was right, the moist type but just tooooo sweet... The avocado cake, i liked, because of the light sponge cake with a slight kick of avocado. Not super rave-worthy but a good dessert.

Finally ticked Lia off the Kapitolyo food must try's! 128077🏻

Had avocado cheesecake and avocado cupcake for take-out. I love Lia's' purple-ish interior color. 128156128156128156 The server who took my order was nice and quite friendly.
Their avocado cheesecake is the bomb!!!! So smooth and you can really notice the avocado flavor and was not tinipid at all, quite pricey for 190php per slice, but it's worth it and it's a seasonal fruit, jellowwww. Dont know any other restaus that serve avocado cakes though. I like the cheesecake better than the cupcake. Mom and sister didnt like the cupcake at all.
Will be back for sure to try other cakes and their meals. 128077128077

Yaaay! Finally visited Lia’s Cake in Season last night. My heart always cries whenever I pass by Kapitolyo area and never got the chance to make a stop-over here, but not anymore! 128521128521128521

Thanks to my dear friend for inviting us last night!!! I was supposed to be in Uptown Mall watching movie and probably digging some cheesey meals there after mass as originally planned. I actually forgot that one of my friends and schoolmate in college was celebrating his birthday yesterday. Happy birthday Jayson!!!

After celebrating his birthday with his family, he had a second celebration with us. By that, he treated us dinner at Tomahawk Chops and Grill. He said he wanted to try the unlimited wings and so there we!

At around 8PM we left the restaurant with our stuffed tummies. We decided to stroll around since it was Sunday and Kapitolyo wasn’t much jammed unlike during Fri/Sat nights. I suddenly saw Lia’s again and I told myself I will not miss anymore chance. Time to make it happen!!!! This is it!

We did not have dessert from where we’ve eaten dinner and since we have a birthday celebrant with us, I had all the excuse to visit here. (BTW, I was with 3 boys who aren’t fan of sweets/cakes.)

Lia’s Cake in Season is next to Mad Mark’s Creamery. This store is easy to find because of the round LED Logo outside. I was surprised that at around 8PM, we are the only customers. I immediately went to the comfort room to pee. The rest room looks old, but is neat and clean. When I went out, I noticed that they turned the music on.

I was so happy because we got the place to ourselves. The place has around 6-8 tables, 2 of which are green couches. The restaurant was made simple in white and green paint color, and a mirror wall. Next to their counter is their kitchen where you can sneak peek some of their baking equipment and actually smell the aroma of their baked delicacies! 128525128525128525

This pastry store got my heart right away because of their MUSIC! They played songs from late 90’s and early 2000’s which made us look back to our high school and college lives. Haha. Senti lang! I sometimes judge a restaurant with the music they play. Theirs was truly nostalgic. 128546128546128546

I felt that this is a perfect place to be for couples. My friend, who celebrated his birthday even thought of bringing the girl he’s currently dating here. I’m just not sure how crowded this place could get on weekdays and Saturdays. By the way, before we entered, I immediately noticed this blue round logo plastered on their glass door. What else could it be? None other than looloo’s!!! I actually took a photo of it. 128518128518128518

Lia’s Cake in Season’s legendary Avocado Cake is the main reason I’ve been dying to visit here. Avocado is one of my favorite fruits!!! Just by the look of their cakes, I couldn’t help, but droooool! Avocado Cake is Php160 per slice, 1 whole cake for Php1,150, and Avocado Cake Jr. for Php690. You would think it’s pricey, but for me the serving size is mighty enough. According to Ate at the counter, the second best is the Chocolate Decadence (Php890) which looked equally tempting!!!

They also have Avocado Cheesecake which is Php180/slice, Php20 more expensive than the regular cake while whole is Php1,290. I decided to skip this for now as my voice still seems like I had my own ‘concert’ because of my cough. I’m still not supposed to eat sweets, but I don’t want to spend the rest of my night regretting I missed one more chance.128523128523128523

They have made-to-order cakes too like Sugar-free Cake Avocado (Php1,450) and Sugar-free Ube Cheesecake (Ph1,350). If you love cupcakes, don’t worry, they have you covered. The Red velvet and Calamansi cupcake were comparatively enticing. Each is sold for Php85. If only I could try everything in one visit! 128547128547128547 #thestruggleisreal #lol

I just love the variants of their cakes. I’d say th flavors are very peculiar. First time I saw a Puto-Bumbong flavored cake! I would have ordered this too if they have a ready-made one.

I was surprised that they also serve meals like pasta and rice! I’m loving this store even more because they have Aligue Pasta (Php250) and this interesting Pork Adobo Pasta (Php250)!!! Right then I knew I have to be back soon to try these!!! 127837127837127837

While waiting for the Avocado Cake to be served, there were actually several customers who went in and out to order cakes and cupcakes for take-out. Maybe it was just our lucky night!!!

Now here comes the real deal - the Avocado Cake was served. My heart was pounding while I stared at the slice of cake that looked like a real Avocado to me. Haha. I was holding my breath as I swallowed a spoonful of it. Suddenly, there’s magic. I couldn’t see it, but I can definitely taste it in my mouth!!! The sweetness is just perfect and it tasted like a real Avocado (my favorite fruit!!!!), and the chiffon layer was so fluffy! The avocado bits and nuts toppings added texture to munch!

The boys were just in awe watching me happily eat the rest of the cake. #dreamcometrue!!! As if I was the birthday celebrant! Hahaha.

Now, I couldn't imagine how the cheesecake will taste like. HUHU. I am more of a cheesecake-lover, but yesterday wasn't the best time. I swear I'll be better and be back to try their pasta, Avocado Cheesecake, and probably the Chocolate Avocado and the red velvet and the calamansi cupcakes too! I'm actually thinking of bringing my family here, and be the one to order for them, so I can taste everything I want! Lol. Haha.

You might want to try to visit here too!!!

On a Sunday night.

With your special someone.

Order some coffee or tea to match your perfect slice of cake.

While guessing the title or the singer of the song on queue.

Or while getting-to-know each other. #weeeeee #yiheeee

That's actually how I imagined myself with King Y. Haha! Only we’re done with the ‘getting-to-know each other stage. Hahahaha!!!

I thought this is the only branch of Lia’s but I can see here in looloo that they have other branches. Why not try the branch nearest to you? Hehe.

To be honest, you could bring any of your loved ones here and you surely wouldn't regret! Lia’s Cake in Season is ultimately one of the must-tries dessert stores here in Kapitolyo!!!

Another great find for a dessert place in Kapitolyo. Curiousity brought me here to actually taste their famous Avocado Cheesecake. It may be too sweet for some but still is a delectable treat to cap-off my birthday night :-)

I really wanted to super like you. I even got the much talked about Avocado Cake on the morning of December 31. The cake to me tasted like it was baked 2-3 days before. It's not supposed to be super moist as its not a moist kind of cake. But I'm sure you all know what I mean. It didn't taste super old, but it was getting there.

Avocado taste was very subtle. We liked the flavor. I do wonder though if the avocado is artificially flavored because I don't see any trace of the pulp at all. Or they just add so little of the fresh avocado for that subtle taste. I guess if you don't like avocado so much this is a good dessert to try to convince you otherwise. I loved the pistachio on top. It really went well with the cake.

I was so excited for this that when Ann Margaret L recommended this, I suddenly remembered I have not tried this popular cake and it was now or never to go visit Kapitolyo without the traffic in our way.

Staff were very warm to the customers. I could hear their mixer working so in my mind they were still busy baking for the day and my cake was most probably just baked. I even talked to a couple waiting inside who was wondering what to buy and I told them this was the cake to try here.

I got a junior-sized cake for 600+ as only 3 of us were supposed to eat it for dessert. I'm thinking baka the regular sized ones are fresher as people seem to be buying that more than this size. Regular size is now sold at 1100+.

Thanks for the reco Ann128522

My sister and I were searching what cake we will have for our Media Noche and she found Lia's. I started reading reviews and almost all of them loved the Avocado Cake, so we went here to buy one (I can't wait to taste it!! 128517).

Then we also saw the Calamansi Tea cake so we decided to stay for a while to try it. It's really good plus they served it warm to us even though we didn't requested. The chiffon's yummy, too! It's flavor is quite unique. Not too sour, not too sweet. 128077🏼

The price per slice is 110. And I suggest Looloo should update the menu 128522 Lia's raised their prices on all of their cakes already.

Not-too-sweet-tooth alert! I mean if you are one of those who claim to love cakes but refuse the exaggeration of sweetness, you might want to try their Calamansi Tea Cake. Sweet and tart in the most clever way! Who would have thought calamansi got the wheels to grace the boulevard of cakes and desserts128077

Other cakes are sailing on the safe lane though! Not as delicious as how they look but they are not bad either9996

5 stars for the Calamansi Tea Cake. Less 1 star because I am not pleased with the service9786

A really really bad photo!!! Sorry. 128517

We were still in Thai Dara when we realized that it's almost 10pm and Lia's Cake In season was about to close. My friend told me he'll get the slices of cake for us so we can consume it afterwards.

We had their best-selling Avocado cake and really liked it! I didn't know any cake shops around the city who can create an avocado-flavored cake like this! It was a bit sweeter from the usual bittery and smooth taste (with little sweetness of course) of avocado but it's overall good for me.

My friend was actually a big fan of this and he confessed that it's one of his guilty pleasures knowing that he's not really into cakes that much. Will surely go back to havr more of this and to have a decent photo of the cake! 128514

Lia's Calamansi Cake is all that you could ever ask for!

The sourness of the lemon is just right, perfectly paired with the moistness of the cake itself.

Lia's cakes are always a win! Love their bestseller, the Avocado Cheesecake. Another favorite is the Calamansi Tea Cake, reminiscent of Boracay's Calamansi Muffins, only sweeter due to the frosting.

Tried the Chocolate Decadence and it didn't fail. Ample serving, they actually added more caramel sauce. The cake was moist and rich.

This pairing seems weird if you think about it but who would've thought that this blessed lovechild of avocados and cheesecake would taste this good? It's perfect is what I'm saying. Totally a must-try! 128525 One of my friends who doesn't even like avocados (although I wonder why because they're awesome!) loved this cheesecake haha!

Each slice costs 180 pesos though. The taste makes up for the above-average price tag, however.

A meal wouldn't be complete without dessert!!

I've been hearing about Lia's and their famous avocado cheesecakes. However, I am not the biggest fan of avocados. Actually, I am not a fan at all.

I got their chocolate decadence and my friend got a calamansi cupcake. I loove my order. I'm a big fan of sweets lol and chocolate cakes are at the top of my list! The best part about this cake would probably be the chocolate frosting and caramel drizzle on top. Not too crazy about the cake itself which could've used a bit more moist but it was a good cake overall!! I could just eat it all day!

I think what's good about going here on weekdays is that there aren't a lot of people. We basically got the whole place to ourselves for hours!
