Falafel w/ rice
(deep fried balls of chuckpeas)
P220 but large plate fits for two persons!

Hole in the Wall, Century Mall is great and vintage place unlike foodcourt!

There were several times where i almost order a meal here but since im always here for dinner, i observe that their beef is kinda on the bottom of the shawarma grill or not much juicy but since im here at lunch time and i noticed the new beef grill, its the time i must try it out.

Had it for take out since i need something to eat at cinema, so i ordered their beef at pita bread at around 260. It comes with 2 sauce. It took a while to be prepared but it was really delicious, beef was juicy and it was a new take on the shawarma line. The wrapper is of good quality by the way. 128522

So Liberation Shawarma makes their shawarma, the non-traditinal way. I tried their Beef Shawarma with biryani rice and red bean stew. I was advised also that their Shawarma is spicier than the usual shawarma.

It took 30 minutes for my food which is very unusual since there are no other orders according to the lady besides mine. I think they had a problem with the beef shawarma. Glad I was eating something else while waiting or I'd be pissed.

But then I was still disappointed after the wait, the shawarma was very dry and tough to chew. It's like sisig in my opinion but not in a good way since it's tasteless. The creamy garlic sauce did not help too. Good thing that the red bean stew tasted really really good. The biryani rice could use a generous amount of butter to help the shawarma. Sayang..

My husband and I didn't like this.. Something about the beef... Maybe one of the spices they used? Or maybe if you're used to food channel's shawarma, you won't like this kind.

I liked the bread though.

300something (additional beef) is so not worth it.

Shawarma to the next level.
It was a blessing in disguise that most of the stores were closed when we arrived at Hole in the Wall area. I'm not a big fan of persian cuisine. I eat shawarma yes but I wont jump off my seat for a kebab you know what I mean.

Liberation Shawarma is classy and a bit snobbish that kept me intrigued.

it did not fail. They were serious in making gourmet meals. They are one of the few shops that close late so getting a middle-eastern dish craving late at night won't be a problem.

You can drown yourself with their unlimited garlic sauce for free too.

Ordered a beef shawarma rice. Food serving size is good for 1. Beef was tasty and tender. They also serve with it some white sauce and chili salsa. Although, I think it's a bit expensive. Nothing really special.

I tried the falafel shawarma for Php225 it's delicious but after a few bites kaumay na, I admire such kind of food cause you get full instantly and it tastes good. It just sucks that it's hard to finish.

Also tried chickpea salad, where does "chickpea" come from? I'll google that later. This makes good pulutan a healthy pulutan for less than Php200

The drink over there is from garde manger, the caramel mint cane juice something... Okay, I forgot what it's called exactly but it was really good, for a drink it's fantastic. 127865

We loved Fire in The Hole's Spicy Dandan Rice, but the same could not be said for Liberation Shawarma's beef shawarma... Just the opposite in fact!128529

My bf wanted to get the cheeseburger from The Beef... Unfortunately, the fries weren't available and he doesn't believe in eating burgers without fries... Belief na ito, yes...

So he went to the stall next door to get their beef shawarma... I already warned him that I didn't really like the food here, but again NO FRIES AT THE BEEF... We waited for a long time for his order to be ready... Then it ended up tasting weird... The beef was marinated in too many spices that made it taste overwhelming! Nutmeg, cinnamon and cumin galore! plus the sauce was too garlicky... Lasang arabo applies... Arabo overload!!!128529 brush after!

My bf got so disappointed, wishing he ate the cheeseburger sans fries... Or simply, that the fries were available... Curse you fries! The second scenario would have been preferable... So not worth the P260!128529128529128529 It was a good thing that FITH's Dandan rice was good enough for two... Plus we also shared an order of Bad Bird's buttered corn... Shredded corn!128517

Not a good choice in HITW... Not one of Chef Anglo's better food offerings...

Sidenote: Ibang level talaga ang clingy magnet!!! Nice bumping into you guys, Carla M and Yina M!!! 128522128522128522#clingymagnetON

I came after my friend kept raving about this place.

We walked in and it was empty, the cashier wasn't very pleasant or friendly. That was an immediate bad impression and just hoped the food would make up for it. Sadly, it didn't. The food was mediocre, at best.

The portion was small. I mean, you won't leave hungry, but you're definitely not going to be "stuffed" by the shawarma (in pita bread) alone.

A couple of reasons why I only gave this place 2 Stars:

1) I love hummus, and order it whenever I can, but I only love it if I can taste the garlic, lemon, and tahini. I couldn't taste any of these flavors in Liberation Shawarma's hummus.

2) French fries should be only called fried potatoes. They were limp and bent over, with no crispiness.

Maybe the Baba Ganoush is good, but I won't be going back to find out.

Tried Liberations since it's one of the few chains in Hole in the Wall who offers rice meals. So I got their beef shawarma with rice. It comes with their special sauce but I'm not really a fan of any sauce. If you want to try, you may ask the server for it. The dish had a generous amount of serving and can fill two hungry girls or one not-so-hungry guy. The meat was tender and flavorful (even without the sauce). The downside only was it was oily, even the rice. At my first few bites, I can already feel the oil on my lips. I'll try this again next time if I'm really really hungry!

Dipitas - Found the bread too thick for a pita bread-dip. The sauces lacked a balance between the spices, heat and acidity, could do with more re-working. But the Babaganoush was a winner.

Green salad - Serving portion was ok, presentation was lovely, but could've been served with a bigger bowl, or lettuce leaves could've been hacked to be eaten easier.

I liked the sauce they had. The beef shawarma was good however the rub they coated the beef with was a bit gritty for me. Good flavor though.

Give death or give me Liberation Shawarma!

Burger adventure with Jairus d, my appetite failed me, after Sweet X, I'm satiated. My stomach can't handle another cheeseburger. So i decided to sit it out and eat some white fries. Yes, white! These white babies are from Liberation Shawarna. Deep fried potatoes drowning in white powdery stuff, i dunno what the white stuff is made of but it's delicious. My best guess is that, it is made of parmesan cheese or cocaine. Why the coke reference, it is highly addicting, you will see dancing unicorns on each bite. Bell pepper yogurt dip, yes not the traditional ketchup. It works well with the cheesy flavor of the white dust, the dip is tangy and has that bell pepper flavour that i absolute love.

If you dig odd flavour combination, order some white at Liberation.

Every time I visit Hole in the Wall, I always make sure I pick something I've never tried before. (Scout's Honor is an exception 128584) So this time, we had Liberation Shawarma's beef pita. I was gonna get the pork but the crew insisted that it's their best- seller and he was right! The meat was so tender and flavorful. I had no regrets. Also, the idea of using pita pockets is genius because it lessens the mess. And the best part? Their unlimited Shatta sauce! 128561 Ugh my favorite kind of taste 128525

Went back to Hole in the Wall because I was staying in Knightsbridge that time and I crave for other things HITW can offer.

I first came to Bad Bird but since I have tried it before and Liberation got me from their offer of some shawarma, I went out of the line to proceed to order Beef Shawarma at Liberation. Which turns out to be a pretty bad idea.

I ordered Beef Shawarma with the pita bread. It came out with a couple of veggie sticks and pita breadsticks. I like the presentation of the food because it's really nice for photos. The taste? Meh. The beef was dry, not even tasty and hard to chew. I think the veggies tasted better than the meat. The pita bun was too thick too. The sauces? The brown one was too spicy and the white is one is just okay. To be honest, I didn't even finished eating it, I just ate the veggies and endured the beef just for the sake that I have to make it worth my money since it's quite expensive. That I wish I had the salad instead or just try other stalls.

I hope Liberation improves their shawarma to make it worth its price.

My family = absolute spicy fanatics. So when we saw the whole "caution this place isnt for people who dont love spicy food" we just couldnt resist.

I got my shawarma w rice! During the first few bites I found the taste too strong but it gets to a point where your tastebuds arent as confused and it tastes pretty good. But that point kinda felt short because after awhile it gets "nkakaumay".

Hahahhaah not sure i'd get it again. It wasn't really for me. 128514

If there's "plating" to satisfy your eyes, there's "style" to trick your taste buds. Off you go, shawarma wraps! Shawarma rice has left the zone as well.

Presenting : Your fatty pita pocket stuffed with red cabbage and tasty shredded beef 128518128518128518

Made me feel like eating a half-order "shawpao" 128514 #Bcabulary

Tricked me well alright! If not for the generously-spiced Spice Fries on the side and unlimited chili cheese sauce and white sauce (is it garlic or ranch or both idk but it's good) I'd have to give a 3 for 'taste' alone. Cabbage is cabbage, red or green (but since red looks exotic it makes it taste exotic) and the beef wassssalot yehey but nothing extremely special about it, really... But hey! Prior to this visit we had White Cheddar Fries!!!!!!! && it's beyond awesome, I promise! Gave me the vibe of stress-eatig White Cheddar Tater Chips hihi

so yes, it's a 4.

hohohold your breath because tonight will be the night that I will fffffallalalalaaa

I had their Shawarma Rice. It was spicy and herby, not the typical shawarma that's sweet and spicy. The first few bites were delicious but towards the end it became "nakakaumay".

I'm a huge fan of shawarma. If you love spicy foods then you'll appreciate this place. We ordered the Beef Shawarma, Falafel, Fries and Dipitas. Overall, foods were great. They used lots of herbs and spices which made the food was so strong in taste. Also, their sauces was so strong that I couldnt handle it anymore. It turned that my tongue felt so numb. I kinda not enjoyed my food and kinda pissed, didn't expect their foods and sauces would be so spicy that I couldn't taste the food anymore. We can still taste the garlic, spices etc. for hours. We ate something sweet just to let go of the taste of it on our tongues. We just like the food literally, except for the sauces and OA spices.
