Few hours away from the city, is a not so urbanized municipality—San Miguel, Bulacan.

This is my 3rd review highlighting good finds in my hometown. We may not give you the buildings and not even malls (we don't have mall here!) but we can give you the comfort of home away from the toxic and busy streets of Manila.

Liza's Bakeshop, located at the center of San Miguel. It is just a small popped up bakeshop, but not just your usual bakeshop. It is just their store and not where they bake their goodies-heard they do the baking in their house just few barangays away. Being it small doesn't mean they are really small-they are big in taste! This Special Biscocho is my favorite, it may not look tasty but it is. I love how buttery it is for just 27 pesos! What a deal. Another thing I would recommend is their ham&cheese!

Of course, they offer cakes for celebrations and there are few ready made in their store. They also have their own version of graham cake, leche flan and other desserts.

Liza's bakeshop is more than your small bakeshop. Go! Try it when you happen to visit San Miguel, Bulacan!

+ other than this, you may want to check out Pastillas and Chicharon which are proudly tatak San Miguel!

So happy, I've found this!

I love their Biscocho and Toasted Mamon! It's really addicting. When you have the first bite, you just can't help but consume the entire pack. Biscocho is crispy and crunchy yet a bit chewy - the reason why I loved it! And it's buttery too! Mamon on the other hand is very eggy and creamy, literally crunchy but melts in the mouth.

I learned they got numerous product lines too. So give it a try folks!
