Finally, I'd get to experience one of the famous attractions in Bohol. The loboc river! When in Bohol, it is a must that every tourist should try this. After having gone to a lot of places that day, me and the group were starving. We were on a countryside tour and the Loboc river is part of it so we got to the place at already 1ish.

Can't believe that I was able to dine and cruise the river of Loboc. It was a great experience. Food was ok, nothing extraordinary. Barbecue was good. I surprisingly liked one of their vegetable dishes. Duno what it's called but it kinda reminded me of my cooking. Lol. The ones where I always put Worcestershire sauce. I hope they served shrimp that day instead of crabs. I was told that they only serve one or the other. There was a good selection of filipino dishes and desserts which I think is good because it is one way of showcasing our cuisine to the foreign tourists while enjoying the rustic, lush greenery of the surroundings. There was also a band serenading us with old love songs while on tour.

The raft (floating restaurant) moves at a leisurely pace. Along the way you will see some of the locals swimming and some just chillin under the tree and watching the tourists as they pass by. On our way back, we stopped at a small jetty and watched the famous Loboc Children's choir dance and sing to the beat of some folk music.

This 1hr dine and cruise at Loboc costs P450. Not bad for the experience 128522

Sabi nila, your Tagbilaran trip is not complete if you don't go to Loboc and try the floating restaurant.

The restaurant's cut off is 2:30pm. We we're able to make it by 2pm from the Countryside tour we had. 128522

The Loboc rivee is really beautiful and the breeze of air while eating is an added factor to the restaurant. Kaya lang mainit when we had our lunch, and haggard since from tour kami.

The food is good but not exceptional. The fish fillet is good. We expected more seafood from the buffet, though there are lobsters. 128556

All in all, it was a good experience.

This was part of our Bohol daytour and I would say it is one of my favorite parts of the trip.

No, the food wasn't at all great. Food was meehhh.

It was the relaxation it gave as we cruised along the Loboc River while munching on some fried chicken and pancit, and being serenaded by a local band. (Great voice, BTW)

I liked how during the cruise, we were able to see locals who lived nearby who were doing laundry or fixing their little banka and we also saw some children bathing in the water and some even 'wreckingball'-ing on some branches then jumping to the river. It looked so much fun!

Another thing I loved about this experience was the sing and dance performance of the kids. Some guests on out boat even went to the stage and danced along! It was something really heart-warming to see. I just had to give a big tip because I enjoyed their performance so much! Haha.

Definitely something unforgettable especially that I got to experience it with my family. 10084

@ 350 a pop for the buffet and 100 for the view, I'd take the view everytime over the food.

As part of our city tour we had our buffet lunch at the floating restaurant cruise of loboc river. Food was just ok, ordinary pinoy food being served. Before the ride starts, you can already start getting food from the buffet table and eat. The live music only starts when the boat starts to move. The whole activity runs for an hour. There will also be a short Stopover where you can watch the locals sing songs and dance tinikling. Guests are welcome to get off the boat and join them. What i liked about this ride is the view of the river, you can see trees, small falls, kids swimming and playing by the riverside which you don't see everyday. Take time to savor the moment. The lunch starts at 11 am until 3 pm. They have stopped operating during dinner time after the oct 15, 2013 earthquake. There is also a new floating boat restaurant operating but its operating time is until 2 pm only and is on another side of the loboc river.

#WheninBohol, travelers/tourists must try this. It's a one hour cruise along the Loboc River. They serve good food, too. :)

Second time I've tried this. I actually had no plans of doing this again after previous experience but this was included in our package during a recent trip.

This is a tourist trap. Nothing really special about this. Buffet food's ordinary.

You can skip this when you're in Bohol.

Quiet and relaxing stop during the city tour. They serve lunch while cruising the river. They also provide live music, they play different genres depending on the boat you're riding.

There's a stop in the middle of the cruise for a cultural presentation by the locals. A group plays ukeleles while some are dancing folk dances.

It's always nice to be in a relaxing place once in a while. No traffic, no pollution, no stress.

You can have the Loboc Cruise via the floating restaurants. They serve buffet lunch (and dinner, I think) with entertainment. As this is our 2nd time to visit in 6 years, our guide told us that there's a new restaurant, Rio Verde, that's docked on the other side of the river. So that's where we went.

Lunch gets served while still docked, a few minutes before cruising. As the tour begins, the entertainer starts singing. It was fun and he was really good and a bit comedic. His performance even included some audience participation and we gladly indulged. Halfway through the trip, there's a stopover to a land where the Ati Tribe is located. The Ati's are there to showcase their talents. Some were playing music using bamboo, a boy was doing archery, some little girls were dancing. As we return, the music continues. We sing and a couple even danced swing until the end of the trip. Really fun! 9786

Had a nice lunch while looking at this beautiful view in Loboc Floating Restaurant10084️. Buffet Filipino dishes while being serenaded by Boholanos. The view is captivating and it made me increase my appetite!! Hahaha. You'll also have a chance to disembarked in a nearby tribe wherein there are some aetas, if I'm not mistaken, that will welcome you.
More of this breathtaking view on my blog. www.jorellefajardo.wordpress.com

Mother nature really knows how to create a masterpiece. 128513

Loboc river is very enchanting. Color of the river is as beautiful as the forest around it and at the end of the river, a small waterfall awaits each visitor and greets them with it's flowing water.

Having lunch on a floating restaurant while local folk songs are being sung by on board singers is an amazing experience. The cruise will make a stop along the way and some of the locals have a prepared peroformance for all visitors. You can even join them dancing folk songs as well.

The cruise with lunch buffet costs P450 and will last around an hour along the river.

This is my second visit, this time with family.

My mom and our visitors wanted to experience the attraction since there is not much to do if your tired of swimming. . My first visit was three years ago with cousins and visitors as well. It was more charming and well organized back then.

The buffet lunch has deteriorated from average to poor in terms of quality, quantity, and manner of presentation...not worth your money. Our bohol driver said there was a change in the food service provider sadly for worse. The view has deteriorated too. There are more modern-looking houses now along the riverbank...an eyesore/shame for such a supposedly "nature" attraction. The boats/floating restaurants look old, tired, unattractive. Most of all, the singers and cultural dance performers - both inside the boat and at the performance station sounded and looked sad, boring, and mechanical... 128540 they lack showmanship, enthusiasm, smiles, passion. Even the river itself looked cleaner back then. This place and the people serving need inspiration..to inspire/delight/wow the people who visit.

Would recommend that the entire attraction must be revitalized, maintain the nature, provide worthy great food, and exciting entertainment too. Until then, better to skip this and go straight to your Bohol resort hotel or other worthy sights e.g. Chocolate Hills, Tarsier; or better yet just watch a nice movie at your hotel.

It was a pretty fun experience cruising along the river! We had our feet out into the river! It was exciting and at one point, after reaching the falls, we were told we could swim! I was so sorry I didn't bring a swimsuit or extra clothes then! My friend, who is from Bohol (seen in the photo) advised that we took the smaller boat for rent, that did not offer food as she said it would allow us to navigate through more areas in the river. The floating restaurants are bigger boats that could not have navigated nearer the falls and the like. The boat we took was also cheaper than the floating resto as no food was served in ours! 128522 My friend also said that you cannot swim if you are on board the floating restaurant.

Was at Bohol the other week for our Company Teambuilding and we had lunch here on our second day.

There was a buffet at the center of the boat and the selection was okay. There were shrimp chips, soup, pansit, chicken, etc. but nothing really that stood out taste-wise or was extraordinarily good. Each boat had their own performer who sang the entire duration of the cruise.

The weather was quite gloomy when we got there, but thankfully the sun came out and the view was really nice throughout the cruise. The route doesn’t cover the entire river, it stops where the waterfall is and turns back around to where the cruise started. At the waterfall there’s a barge where everyone can go down to have their photo taken.

On our way back we stopped by this other barge somewhere at the midpoint where we were able to watch a short performance of singing and dancing. Some of us even joined the tinikling.

Recommended for first timers. Once is enough though :)

There are two choices in the Rio Valle cruise, the high-end and regular. Besides the larger selection of all you can eat in the high-end option, there are also special items like steamed crab and lechon kawali. Food is good enough at 550/head (inclusive of the cruise and the cultural presentations on the side).

This is actually my second time coming to this tourist attraction, both for lunch. But my aunt tells me that the nighttime cruise has its own magic, which I'm definitely doing if I come back here.

We tried the famous floating resto in Bohol. 128522 They got a lot of floating resto actually. Different passages and different views. We tried Rio Grande because the river is wide and the view is nice compared to others.

We got here almost 12 in the afternoon and the bangca or the floating restaurant is already full. They also separated the foreigners mostly Koreans and the locals or Filipinos. The place was set up like a buffet. You get to choose between the high end and the regular. The difference is that the high end includes small crabs and liempo and others according to our driver. The crabs were bad. 128078 There were a lot of food choices from tinola, bbq, fish fillet, puto, other kakanins and so much more. What kept me from coming back is their kangkong tempura. 128513 So crispy and new to my tastebuds tho it's the same with the regular tempura. Still masarap. 128076

Along the course of the restaurant, you can still eat and someone will play and sing for everyone. People will get to enjoy the food, music and the view. When you reached the half of the route you'll get to mingle with the Ati tribe. A small community of people, I forgot where they are from. You get to take pictures with them, play bow and arrow. The children are so adorbs! 128513128522 It looks like they're trained to pose for the camera and afterwards they would say 'TIP'. Hahaha! After 10-15mins we got in our floating restaurant and enjoyed the energetic performance of our entertainer. 128514 Really a winner! He would sing Boholano songs and famous oldies songs but no Justin Bieber. lol. Even new songs wala. 128522 I think he should learn new songs para hit. 128076 All in all was great! 128513

PS.

Di ko sure if same lang 'to with Rio Grande kasi iba nakalagay. 128542
