This isnt really 2/5. But if half value is allowed, I'd probably give a 2.5. :) Service was a huge let down for me in this restaurant...

We were two when we visited the establishment but we had huge bags with us (coming from a flight). When we came in, no one ushered us in. Then, when we were able to have someone's attention, he had this disapproving look on this two people with huge pieces of luggage. Upon speaking with him, we asked for a larger dining area/table (because obviously, only one table was occupied in the restaurant that time and we had luggage with us). This Mr. rude guy refused, and advised that the restaurant was fully booked so he asked us to sit by the middle 2 seater table.
In the end, after our meal and after 1.5 hours in the restaurant, no one sat at the bigger table we earlier requested. Please note that we visited around 4 pm on a weekday to have super late lunch and thus, there really were not much guests around. Also, Mr. Rude guy was consistently annoying throughout the service that we purposely sought attention from other service crew members. I should note that the other guys are nice and more polite.
Food was ok. I had high hopes on sizzling sinigang. The twist was pretty cool however it seemed a tad too salty for a sinigang. I liked lechon with oyster sisig though. But for the taste and amount of serving, I believe the meals were overpriced.

Here's our promised next visit.

This time, we tried their best selling- lechon and oyster sisig and one that is new to their growing master recipes- bacon bbq skewers. Awe I say. It was incredibly delicious, with the right blend of each flavours in one. I was really amazed on how they came up on a filipino delicacies with a twist.

After dining, we went for a bottle of brew kettle to chill out the scrumptious night. Well spent dinner once again. Definitely will be coming back for more. Surprise us on our next visit, Locavore.

Would have given a higher rating if their restrooms were cleaner. It reeked of ammonia, goodness. Kadiri!

Ordered the usual; Sugpo Con Mayonesa, Lechon Oyster Sisig and Tarta Mangga.

Decided to order two new dishes, Garlic Baby Squid and Pakbet Ratatouille.

And as usual, they were delicious! I especially loved the baby squids. Haha! Super cute, and yummy!

Wala pa din talagang kupas ang kasarapan ng Locavore.

P. S. : Sobrang gutom ko di ko napansin blurred yung pics.

Locavore is one of my favorite go to resto for classic Filipino foods with a twist. Been eyeing this for quite some time until I finally booked a date to try their own comfort food indulgence. Place was very delightful and the food aroma was to die for. It was an early dinner and we just waited 15-20 minutes serving time.

What we ordered:
Street Food Platter 180
-It includes fish balls, squid balls, kikiam and kwek-kwek which I lurved.

Kinilaw Platter 350
-Not so much of kinilaw but from his taste, it was a great flavour indeed.

Kare-kare Wings 260
-I love their chicken wings coated with sweet-spicy peanut sauce, side with manggang hilaw and singkamas. Good Match.

Ginataang Kaldereta 520
-Their beef short ribs has mouthful of flavors that I love. It goes well with the mix of light cheese, gata, garlic and some spice in it. Perfect indeed.

Steamed Organic White Rice 55
-Plain as it is to savour all the flavors of the treat we have in the table.

Torta Mangga 220
-This was the higlight of my night as I am a sweet tooth kinda-girl. Super delicious. Must try!

It was a feastly dinner we had that night and comforting too. You can even watch the chef and crew cooked your food from the window through them. Staff were accomodating but not that cheerful but its okay. It didn't alter the service they gave anyhow. Ambiance is pleasant. Great for a cozy and relaxing date or bonding with friends.

I would love to try their other organic delicacies next time we visit there. I saw that they've added a lot in their menu. That excites me more.

We decided to go to Locavore on a non-peak timeslot,
Sometime after lunch and before dinnerish... So we don't have to experience waiting and the uber long lines..... despite the fact that we needed to go to bgc, our tumnies craved for somewhere Brixton Street :) I think it's the branch that spells out the goodness but somehow I find the cooking in Brixton super way better :)

Our food choices were of course, Aphrodisiac meets putok batok goodness with the Oyster and pork sisig... It was like tasting both worlds of oriental oyster omelette and creamy pork sisig in one savory dish 12852210084128077🏻

Next on the table was one of their new selections the Kimchinigang, which had a jolt of kimchi, and I loved it very much with the tomatoes 100841008410084️ the sourness was very much appetizing and spot on!

Bacon BBQ Skewers, super worth it for 7 plump sticks of bbq with slaw and sauces 100841008410084️ perfect beer match or with warm rice!

Ohmy I'm really gonna combe back for more! Had me loca over Locavore 12852210084128077🏻127926127881

Last Monday, a few of my favorite people decided to have a post bday dinner for me. 128515 We decided to try Locavore since the reviews were good. It wasn't busy then and we were seated right away.

We ordered:
Pakwan ( pakwan, kesong puti, arugula, olives, and patis-calamansi vinaigrette) ✅✅✅✅✅
It was yum, the arugula was fresh. (260php) good for sharing.

Tanigue Kinilaw ✅✅✅✅
The presentation was really unique, but it was so tiny for 200pesos. It was good, not that sour like the usual kinilaw though, maybe that's the twist.

Mac's Boneless Fried Chicken ✅✅✅✅
It was good and the serving was big. There's 4 of us, but we weren't able to finish it. (220php)

Sizzling Sinigang ✅✅✅✅✅
This one was surprisingly delish! Am not a big beef fan, unless it's burgers, but this one is really good. I don't know how they come up with it, but really yum! (475php)

We didn't wait too long for the food, the staff were very attentive too. Would love to come back next and try the other things on their menu.

Okay. Honestly, during my first visit I thought the food was just mediocre.

But recently I've been seeing friends going to their new BGC branch and I decided to try it one more time. Maybe I just had a bad experience? Who knows.

So I was in Mandaluyong earlier today, and decided to have lunch at Locavore with my best friend.

All I can say is, thank god I decided to try it again. I had a completely different experience! Complete 180 degrees from the first.

I think maybe it was the order?

The Sugpo Con Mayonesa and Lechon Oyster Sisig were amazing! Like, literally, AMAZING! Super delicious!

I would definitely come back.

Their mango desert is really good too. 10084

Visited Locavore Brixton when I was in the area to buy some knick knacks from the nearby Heima Home store. Too bad the Erwann Bar Stools that i wanted was sold out that time. I was with family when we dined at Locavore.

Ordered the Kare Kare Wings - was a bit dry but the peanut sauce tasted good but had that sweet variety taste to it, more like dessert kind of sweet. The bagoong was briny delicious. The lechon oyster sisig was spot on. It was crisp on the outside and retained the oyster softness inside. Had the pandesal pudding for dessert and i like it. Sweet with the dulce syrup and ice cream.

Service was OK. Can be improved. No one was assigned at front during our visit so it can get a bit frustrating when several people come in at once.

Senior cards honored. Good job!

This is a throwback review from the lunch despedida of my bestfriend. Honestly, I still get hungry everytime I recount the memories of that time that we ate here.

The place is big, they have indoor and outdoor seating. It's open until 1 am and they serve drinks, so the outdoor seating might be for groups of people wanting to drink and smoke their night away.

Anyway, we ordered the following. The company that I am with have visited Locavore already so we trusted their judgement on what to order

Here are my rating for their dishes measured in thumbs up

Baked Scallops in Aligue Butter --- 128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼
Sugpo con Mayonesa --- 128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼
Sizzling Sinigang --- 128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼
Dinuguang Lechon --- 128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼
Lechon and Oyster Sisig --- 128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼

Overall, Food is delicious and presentation wise it is enticing and wonderful. I would like to come back to this one day with some of my family members since I know they will really enjoy this. However, the place is not too commutable because it is in the far side of Kapitolyo. But if you are in the area do not miss this out because the food is really good.

Always worth the wait!!!! The flavors of the dishes are so rich that we ended up ordering 3 platters of white rice. My favorite is the shrimp because of the yummy sauce!! Try their strawberry guava iced tea too!

Just order the Sugpo Con Mayonesa, Sizzling Sinigang, and rice. No, really..it's so damn good. If you have room for more, the Sisig Fried Oyster is also delish, as is the Boneless Lechon Belly. Yummy food at either branch (Kapitolyo or BGC). Dessert was okay.

It's been awhile since I last visited this area. And this resto tops my list. It really piqued me on their take on Pinoy dishes. For that late afternoon, we Sizzling Sinigang and Gising Gising. Their sinigang version surprised me. Instead of it being in a soupy condition, it was in a gravy consistency. It was still tangy and tasted very much of a sinigang. As for their Gising Gising, it was a good pair to our other dish. It was more on the sweet side with crunchy textures due to the ingredients added in. I just loved the combination of our dishes!

To top that off, great service always makes for one great dining experience. We were well assisted to that day. Looking forward to dining here again to try out their other fantastic offers! 128523
