People would usually eat street food in roadside stalls. This is not the case with Lola Ote. The latter is actually located in an air conditioned venue just near Tomas Morato, QC. It redefined the typical barbecue dish by actually hanging it on a skewer to display its great color and juicy aroma.

The barbecue was about 18 inches long, glazed to a light brown color, and grilled to perfection. As I tried their barbecue, I couldn't help but savor the tender meat and the juices flowing out as I took every bite with ease. I was able to finish a half of the entire stick! I truly laud the restaurant for the excellent presentation and preparation.

Furthermore, the barbecue was supplemented by their fried favorites. These were the sisig (pork) and the chicharong bulaklak. I first dug into the sisig. This fried goodness is best with soy sauce and chili. The mixture of salty and spicy tastes, plus the oily texture of the pork, was truly great as a pulutan dish. It mixed well with San Mig that was provided.

Lastly, the Chicharong Bulaklak ended my foray into heart attack paradise. This crispy serving of pork skin sizzled and crackled as it was being served. I immediately lost no time in devouring the dish while dipping it in their spicy vinegar dip.

Lola Ote's is truly an excellent mix of homegrown cooking and streetfood delights. The place was also clean. Hence, there was no need to worry about unsanitary food and dirty surroundings.

Simple BBQ done right.

Lola Ote offers a simple yet homey ambiance that's well lit and full of energy. On both of my visits I dined at either function rooms, one small, and the other good for parties of 20-30 people. Both have television screens, but they larger of the two has its own restroom. Parking is ample thanks to the deep set back, which allows for double parking, but no worries, as they have a helpful guard on duty.

The food highlights include the the Tenga ng Baboy (Pig Ears) , Chicken and Pork Isaw (intestine), crispy Chicharon bulakak and their Sisig. That's a good portion of the menu, but then again there isn't much on the menu. The tenga (pigs ears) are ordered by sticks and is present hanging on an portable rack with the rest of your bbq sticks.

Lola Ote is a highly recommended place for group parties "barkada" get togethers.

Isaw, 18" pork barbecue, inihaw na liempo, chicharon bulaklak, chicken inasal, sisig, crispy pata --- all grilled and pulutan favorites are here at Lola Ote.

If you crave for street food without having to worry about sanitation, then this is the place.

If you just wanna pig out and not think of tomorrow (cholesterol level beware), eat here at your own risk.

The one in Sgt. Esguerra was an old house converted into a resto so it has that Pinoy home vibe. Well at least you'll die in a cozy place. Haha. Just kidding. There are healthier alternatives. You just won't be able to resist the more evil ones though, so goodluck with that.

My supposedly 2nd time here. 6pm pa daw sila open. Seriously??? Akala ko walang cut-off today just like what I previously posted. Today, we're there 5mins ago (4:53pm) and we're advised na 6pm pa daw sila open. :( nakakadisappoint. We're craving for their food and you know how your mood could change when you don't get it? :(

Love their BBQ (Meal at P140) and Pampanga's Sisig (P210 - a bit pricey) but must try. Their Isaw ng Manok is gooey and there were bitter portions so I'm not a fan of it.

I would've given them 5 stars but deducted 1 because of the isaw and their hours being confusing. Maybe it's just me, but how do you read the schedule on the photo?

They're open 11am-11pm.
Their cut-off is 2pm-5pm M-W.

We went their earlier today at 4pm. Had to wait till 5pm.
I just hope they clarified it's closed from 2pm-5pm.

Other than that, i live this place.

Forget that uric acid guilt. This place is indeed worth the visit for those craving for authentic isaw and synonymous delights, without that Hepa or Typhoid scare. Homey indeed, the place boasts of a very nice ambience, as well as very affordable price tags for these selections. Parking is also generous, if that may be an issue

Must try!!!! Lovin' their 18" bbq. 1st time we went with my girls, it has a small place, good thing they'd renovate it. But the last time we went there with my boyfriend.... Nothing change with the taste and price but I dislike the way one of their crew treated us. I don't care how many hours we spent there as long as we can buy our foods. After we finished eating, we ask for our bill and paid it. After we receive our change, we took rest just for five minutes to digest, but this crew girl that has mole in her face, clean our table like hello! Yes, we did finished eating and paid our food, but it's disgusting for this lady to clean up our table. Better not pay first, even if you're done eating. Such a gross!

Convenient location near abscbn and known for their bbq. Its the typical street food place or more for inuman since they have pulutan sets but a bit pricey.

In the photo are skewers of isaw baboy, tenga and isaw manok. Though i didn't like theirs because it was so big and chunky, you can feel the fattyness.

We also got sisig and the 18" pork bbq skewers which were quite good.

Overall the experience was ok, just left the place smelling like barbecue haha

Eating street food takes me right back to college when my block mates and I would console ourselves with isaw after devastatingly difficult accounting exams. And somehow, the sticks of glistening charred meat (which we dunked in a communal cup of suka) would make us feel less miserable about our grades. 127842127842127842

Lola Ote, a restaurant dedicated to Pinoy street food, is a leveled-up version of the dinky isawan kiosks we went to back in the day. There's no need to worry about getting hepatitis here because everything's clean (there's no need to share vinegar cups!), and food presentation's A+ as your orders of meat skewers are hung up on little racks and brought right to your table. It's the perfect place to hang out in if you're a fan of isaw but not so much of standing out in the heat as you eat them. 128077🏼

Serving sizes are huge too compared to the puny sticks you get at street stalls. And prices aren't bad at all! We ordered 1 stick of tenga ng baboy, 1 stick of pork isaw, and 2 sticks of their 18-inch barbecue. Solb na solb! Kulang na lang beer! (Which I will be ordering the next time I find myself here) 127867127867127867

First, i would like to thank LOOLOO APP for giving me good places to eat. I usually check the app first before going to anywhere so ill have a hint where to hit after a long day.

And then i found this LOLA OTE near abscbn and had a lunch hear after watching Its showtime. This is an ihaw-ihaw food house.

Good location.. No need to ride a tricycle/taxi from MRT quezon ave station.
Very accommodating staff.. Or maybe because were the only customer that time. 128513
Food.. Excellent in all,taste,serving,and price.
With the experience i'll surely going back here. 128077🏼

If you're craving for a typical Filipino street food that's not along Hepatitis Lane, then go here. 128521 Haha!

Their Chicken Isaw and Pork BBQ are good! The place is also quite upscale as it is situated near ABS-CBN. The staff are nice, too. 128522
