Food was just ok but for the price, I might say it is quite expensive. Quaint place with the right touch. Service was fast...

People come and go. Those who stay are family, genuine friends, or the one. Anyway, I won’t be mushy today as I’m referring to the second one. I’m so glad that I have friends to talk with when I have problems or bug when I’m in the mood to eat. It has been over a month since I last saw my MScM friends and so many things happened for the past weeks. We needed a catch up session.

I was looking forward to another staycation. But we were not able to book a room. *boo*

We decided to have dinner instead at Shangri-La. K and F picked Lombardi’s as they haven’t tried the food there yet.

When I arrived, they already ordered Spaghetti Ai Fruitti Di Mare (PHP440) and Quattro Formaggi (PHP475). I ordered Crèma di Spinaci (PHP175) and Chicken Cacciatore (PHP590). I skipped ordering dessert as I was craving for tea.

My cream of spinach soup was served first and it was quite salty. Actually, it was really salty. But I was hungry so I finished my bowl of soup. It made me look forward to the main course though.

The Spaghetti Ai Fruitti di Mare was scrumptious. The seafood (clams, prawns, mussels, and squid) used was fresh and the pasta was al dente. Delightful! Its light taste was a great break from the salty soup I had before that.

I skipped the four cheese pizza as I already tried that before. (Click here for the pizza’s review.)

The Chicken Cacciatore comes with two side dishes so I went with steamed broccoli and potatoes.

The chicken braised with tomato sauce tasted great! It went pretty well with the sides which had lighter flavors.

Overall, it was a fun dinner at Lombardi's. I’ll definitely visit again but I’ll skip the soup.

[Disclaimer: Late post.]

There are times when I wake up and crave for something real bad. The thing is, I won’t stop thinking about it till I get to eat it. And last Saturday, I woke up with the thought of… Pizza. N though wasn’t in the mood for pizza that day. Luckily, N was running late and I thought to myself… pizza time! And just when I was about to have a solo date, I saw my mom and sister and M (my sister) was in the mood for pizza too. High pizza five! (Hmm… that sounds nerdy.)

I’ve been eying Lombardi’s ever since I saw it while eating at Corazon during Mother’s Day. I thought of checking the place out as soon as my tummy said “PIZZA”.

The menu wasn’t very extensive but it’s perfect for those who think so long before ordering.
Since it was past 1 p.m. that time, I decided to do the ordering as my mom and sister take longer when we try out a new restaurant.

I planned on ordering the Parmigiana Di Melanzane (roasted eggplant with stewed tomato and mozzarella) but it was not available. The server suggested another bestseller, Mozzarella in Carrozza with Arrabbiata Sauce (PHP230) and as a sucker for anything recommended, I said, “We’ll have that!” We also ordered chef’s recommended Ravioli Di Carne (PHP480) and Pizza Gambaretti (PHP480). For desserts, we ordered Tiramisu (PHP210) and Pannacotta Del Piemonte (PHP160).

We were given complimentary snacks to calm our angry tummies. We finished it in less than 3 minutes.

A pitcher of brewed iced tea is PHP150. Ask for more ice as it tends to have a very strong flavor.
The dishes were served fast though. First, the appetizer.

It was like munching on a grilled cheese sandwich that we could top with tomato sauce. I just love getting all the garlic. Good for the heart, bad for a date. The salad on the side was pretty good too. The vegetables used were fresh and the rather salty dressing boosted our appetite.

The Ravioli Di Carne was served piping hot! I had to blow off the steam so that I could get a clearer photo. As for the taste, you really have to stuff the meat dumpling with tomato sauce to ensure that every bite is savory. I first tried eating it as is but the meat inside was on the bland side.

The Pizza Gambaretti on the other hand was served with oh-so-stretchy mozzarella! We tried taking a photo of it with the mozzarella stretched out but it turned out weird and disturbing. *fail*

The taste though was great. The flavors were all in harmony and there wasn’t a single overpowering one. The crust was thin and crisp. I bet kids would love this. 128518

For the desserts, the tiramisu was pretty okay but wasn’t outstanding. I guess I was hoping it was a bit more chilled.

But the panna cotta… it was really good! It was creamy and just so heavenly. It made me wonder how it would taste with a berry sauce. It’ll add a bit of tanginess but I think it’ll bring me to dessert heaven.

I’ll definitely be back for more of the sweets! I have to try the gelato too!

Had a lunch here with some friends. We ordered pizza, pastas and drinks.

Food
Pizza - Salumi isn't my thing. It wasn't bad but, wasn't good though as per my liking.

Meatballs spag - pomodoro sauce was really good! Seems really made from scratch. Meatballs was delicious too! No extenders and moderately seasoned.

Carbonara - creamy but with a little deviation. I don't like it with toasted garlic taste.

Cucumber with Lemon - good but won't drink it again.

Service
Fair.

Their lasagna isn't your classic cheesy and gooey lasagna but it was actually good because of the flavor. And it went well with their 4 cheese pizza.

I think their add P100 (on top of any pasta order) for unlimited pizza is a great deal. The pasta was great and the pizzas were awesome. I also opted for the add P100 for unlimited coffee and cakes.

The food's really good but the service is iffy. Awesome Ossobucco but has not been available for the past 2 visits.

Our Mozzarella Sandwich antipasti served with a fresh garden salad with a white wine vinaigrette is a must try. It comes with a delicious marinara sauce.

The bistecca rib eye was well cooked and can be complemented with the memorable risotto and the sautéed broccoli.

I just can't figure out why they didn't have any house red by the glass but had a house white.

Overall, my daughter's and my go to for Italian at the moment.

Sorry no photo, accidentally deleted it, anyway we ordered their lasagne, and arrabiata, and we got the unli pizza too, so full.. We had to order 2 pasta dishes bec according to the waiter you had to have 2 dishes to get the unli pizza,.. Lasagne was creamy, it was ok, arrabiata? I had better.. The pizza made up for the okayness for both dishes, we got the palumi, 4 cheese, and the other best seller, we ended up asking the waiter for have the pasta for to go.. Too full bec of the pizza.. Service was very good, probably because it was only us in the resto, we came in around 530? All in all I'll come back for the pizza its simplicity left me floored.. 128521128077🏻

I swear this place is underrated!!!

It's kind of pricey but the food is good! A good place to get your pasta and thin crust pizza fix! 128076 The servings don't seem to be big but they're all good for sharing.

They just lack manpower. Shortage of waiters. There were only 2 the night we went and it was a full house. 128513

First meal with Lombardi's were Four Cheese pizza and Ravioli. Four Cheese was really awesome. It has the right balance of milky and cheesy taste. Ravioli on the other hand has the right tangy taste from the tomatoes. 128525 Second instance with Lombardi's was filled with black pasta, bread with mozarella cheese (forgot the name), and Chocolate Campfire. Pasta is oil-based in smoked salmon flavor, was freshly made, has the right tenderness and full of flavor. Bread is fried with mozzarella cheese in between slices. Who doesn't want mozarella cheese? And lastly, the ultra moist chocolate campfire. You know it's moist by just looking at it. Every bite was full of moisture. Super soft and has the right sweetness. I'm not a cake person so I know that when I like one, it's really good. 128525128525128525 I strongly believe that to be a really good restaurant, majority of the food, should taste really satisfying. And so far, Lombardi's is up there 128525128513128521

Since it's our special day, me and my hubby decided to celebrate our monthsary at Lombardi's restaurant which is located at EDSA Shangri-La. And since I am craving for pasta I ordered this while my hubby ordered pizza. We like the taste of their pizza and pasta here. And we do like the place too.

Lombardi's has 2 branches in Metro Manila, but the one where i had awhile ago my dinner was their branch at Shangrila Plaza Mall. I have usually had my food trip for months in an Asian inspired dining, so tonight, diverted my attention and chose an Italian cuisine perhaps. I was only the customer that night so the server had so much things to offer in order to have dinner with their premise. With their recommendation, i decided to have Penne Panna Prosciutto Funghi since it's their best seller in terms of their Pasta Menu. I didn't like though the Penne Pasta so she then told me i can substitute the type of pasta for that menu, and make it Fettucine Pasta instead of Penne. I have as well hot Coffee Latte for my drink. The Pasta comes with free bread. It took them enough time to serve my order. The pasta menu is good for 2 persons so it's a good part for couple to have their romantic dinner there, unfortubately i had a quirkyalone moment always. However the only thing i wish i could suggest, their pasta is too oily making the whole plate almost surfaced with oil. It didn't look more attractive and the satisfaction i had that time has reached maximum point and lose my appetite at the middle of filling my stomach. With all the encounter i had with their pasta filled with oil, i decided to have their Dessert. I chose Tiramisu and no doubt that dessert however helped me take away that oily feel in my mouth. Good thing the dessert is also quite large in servings. I therefore have to conclude that in order for you somehow to satisfy your cravings with pasta, try at least their best seller Tiramisu dessert to cleanse your mouth and make your visit in Lombardi's remarkable.

First time to dine here and liked the food. Nothing spectacular when it comes to taste, except the pizza.. since I eat pizzas from the "commercially known" brands more, I loved how this one was different. It didn't feel too fattening and would have had more for myself, haha!

We had the seafood pasta and Prosciutto pizza(?). The seafod pasta tastes better with chili flakes. ;) The food is good for sharing; we were a group of three when we ate here.

The appetizer was so-so. I say this because I only got to eat a piece of vegetable. Will eat here again and try different dishes and pizza if time permits!

Ordered the Salame Piccante for P355. It's basically like a Pepperoni pizza but better. Crust is super thin and mozzarella is so good.
