Relatively quiet place you can enjoy really good pastries at. The fruity gelatin is so yummy and the leche flan is just like how my grandma used to make it..! My son enjoyed the chocolate offerings.. Very affordable products. Their egg tarts are great, of course...!

So this deserved a second visit from me... This time with my son...!

These heavenly babies has a right amount of goodness in every bite. The first egg tart i've tasted is when i had a vacation in macau way way back years ago and then a friend of mine told me that the similar taste of macau's egg tart is the same as the egg tart of lord stow. Not really the exact taste from the authentic one but it was also good, not bad at all 128513

As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're in an old school bread shop. Tons of stuff on the shelves and all pretty enticing. Looking over the wall menu, the prices are super reasonable.

The cashier looked like she was the owner (a nice elderly Chinese lady). Very accommodating... Service was pretty fast. Got everything within fifteen minutes.

Ordered something I have never tried before which ended up as something I won't ever try again, unfortunately, simply because it was too sweet. I ordered the Portuguese egg sandwich. It was HUGE for PhP90.00 so that's good (in photo). But, it was sweetish because of the hamonado that was mixed with the egg spread. Not used to sweet egg sandwich (ala sandwich spread... Eeps). But, the staff and owner were so nice I didn't have the heart to diss them right there and then. I asked for paper to wrap half my sandwich and gave it to my cab driver on the way home since I don't think anyone at home would like it.

The cold taho and Japanese iced tea were both yummy, light and comforting. Next time, I will try the Japanese cheesecake and the other stuff on the menu like the pasta or soup or the other sandwiches (they have crabstick! All time fave..). Most items are under PhP150.00 so that's cool (just zoom in on the menu shot, bottom left of my photo... Hope it is still readable).

They have bar stools and a few 4-seater tables. Well ventilated and clean interiors. It was comfortable enough for the toddler in a nearby table to take his nap. Background music was not intrusive at all...

Nice respite from walking around BANAWE...

Brought home a box of 6 of their famous egg tarts (comes out to like Php40 each... The tarts are pricey for me). Light. Pastry is just right. But, I still prefer Baguio's/Session Road's egg pie (I believe it is from Star Cafe... The one with the bilaong pansit...).

Value for money, more or less (the tarts are a bit expensive for me for the size of the tarts). Good place to buy bread and stuff. I also took home their garlic bread sticks... Light and spicy! Yummy for those who like them spicy... Their signature pan de sal is also yummy and soft. Brought home a mini pack...

Love 'em egg tarts forever!! 128525

I love how Lord Stow's kept on popping out everywhere! The first time I encountered these tarts was the one bought from Macau, the next was in Binondo, and the third is here in Banawe! 128516 It's getting nearer and nearer!! 1008410084

For a box of 12 and for Php 460, this is perfect for pasalubongs and a dessert that is not too sweet. 128522

EGG TARTS from Lord Stow's never disappoints. I'm giving them four stars for now because the cashier was grumpy and unhappy that I bought FOUR boxes.. -1

Best egg tart in the country!!! With just the right amount of sweetness from the egg custard mixture on top of the perfectly made puff pastry tart crust, this yummy to goodness treat is the only egg tart I eat. Perfect with tea! Now I can't wait for my Macau trip to taste the real thang.

I used to like their cookies and biscotti but quality has gone downhill over the past few years. The tender cheesecake is good! I'm a fan of Japanese cheesecake because they're very light, no umay factor afterwards.

The only thing (or person in this case) that I don't like from this branch is the lady owner. She's not friendly, no PR whatsoever. She's pushy making you "try" their other offerings and I wouldn't mind at all (because that's what a good businessman/woman does) but she does it with NO charm at all. Definitely not enticing!

The very first time I've tried Lord Stow's egg tarts was at The Venetian Macau and I was surprised to see the same bakery around QC (being a foodie noob as I am). Of course I wouldn't let the chance to taste their awesome egg tarts slip away. I still remember how good it was and I wasn't disappointed of how this PH branch delivered.

This is one hell of an egg tart, I must say. The crust is light, flaky and firm while the custard filling is buttery, creamy and not excessively sweet. The next time I pass by this bakery, I wouldn't hesitate to get a box of their goodies again. 128077

After you've had the real thing in Macau, there ain't going back as Lord Stow's bakery shops in the Philippines fall flat (literally) with their egg tarts. These egg tarts might be one of the good ones in the Philippines but it leaves you feeling empty. Better to eat this fresh!

The best egg tarts for me whether their warm or cold. I like that their crust don't break into pieces when you bite into it. Box of 4's in one sitting? No problem...128055. Haven't tried their other products though, maybe next time.
