Loved their egg tarts and brownies like the peppermint brownies, coffee brownies, rocky road, cheesy, mocha, jammy And others. I also loved their muffins the banana and carrot muffin. They also have a delicious carrot bar! 128077🏻128525

Nearly two years ago, I went to Macau on a day trip (which, btw, I strongly advise against. If you plan to visit Macau from Hong Kong, better take an extended vacation if you want to take it all in. I would say 2-3 days is good, but definitely not just a day like my family and I did), and when I noticed that egg tarts were sold in nearly every shop heading to the Ruins of St. Paul's, I could not resist getting one to try.

No, I did not try Lord Stow's Bakery, and I can't remember the name either because it was written in Chinese, but I remember seeing egg tarts in a completely new light after that. It made me wonder why I was so biased against egg tarts in the first place, but it all boiled down to a silly assumption that it would taste strongly like a sunny side up egg, which I actually like, but not as a tart.

After shopping at ever popular Eng Bee Tin, mom Susan A passed by Lord Stow's to buy two egg tarts (Php 42/pc) at my request. The egg tart was still warm, and my first bite was heavenly. The pastry was soft and flaky, and the custard was sweet and creamy, it melted in my mouth. I nearly asked mom for hers! At least the next time I order I'll know that I may need two pieces for myself...

It was a rainy and super traffic Sunday afternoon but we decided to still head out to Ongpin. My SIL needed to go to Divi to get some stocks for her business and we decided to tag along for a "possible" Binondo food trip 128514128514128514 But traffic was so bad that we reached Divi around 5PM and we had too little time to follow our itinerary. We ended up in Lucky China Town Mall for dinner instead.

It was our first time there. First things first - |ooloo for the EXPLORE feature so I can survey the food scene 128541 Lord Stow's Bakery showed up and I was more than delighted. It was one of those stores that I wanted to visit that day because of their Egg Tarts! Whiw! I got a box of 6 good looking tarts. I needed to torture myself a bit and wait until we get home to try them. But the wait was totally worth it. As I opened the box, a sweet and buttery aroma filled our room. I took some pictures and then got one and took a bite which led to another until the whole tart was gone! Golly!!! I JUST DIED AND WENT TO EGG TART HEAVEN! So freakin' good! Flakey, crunchy and buttery cup like crust with thick and creamy egg custard filling that had the right sweetness. A little burnt on top but that was no issue at all. IT WAS SO GOOD! I could have finished off all 6 tarts but I needed to share, but of course 128514128514128514

Will definitely ask the husband to get another box ( of 12 128557128557128557) since I learned that they have a store in Market! Market!

BEST EGG TART IN TOWN! 128525

Idk. It is still not equal with the quality of their Macau stores. Nevertheless, still good.

Ever since I got back from Hong Kong and Macau, I have been craving for egg tarts! Friends and Looloo have told me that Lord Stow's was the best one in the country so I decided to try that out.

It was really good! The custard was so delicious and soft. The pastry was flaky but just right! I love how the top of the tarts are scorched. Just how Macau makes them!

For the price, the egg tarts' taste is justified when compared to the ones of Macau. (Around 42 each here.) Macau's Lord Stow's, I wasn't able to try but I did try Koi Kei's (Lord Stow's > Koi Kei, according to travel blogs) which was LITERALLY amazing! One piece though was about 120 pesos. Too expensive if you sell it here, in my opinion! So I understand if there were some deliciousness left out of the egg tarts here because of the price. You can't expect the Ph branch to have an exact replica!

Sadly though once you taste the best, the rest is just meh. But that's okay! My egg tart cravings were satisfied anyway and it is still really really good 128149
