This meal has everything you need - protein, carbs and veggies. 128523 Tuna Melt (195pesos)

The AC wasn't working when we went there. Hope they'll fix it soon.

Back at UPTC for the my chocolate cake fix. Lucca it is. We got a table inside as there are only few customers. We got the usual, Passion Fruit Tisane Tea and a slice of the chocolate cake.

Lemme get this out the way, i dont like their music. I mean i support OPM but playing Sarah G isn't appropriate to the restaurant's theme and decor.

Back to the cake. Look at that five tier of chocolatey goodness. I rest my case.

They have limited options fir tea, but who needs variety as long as they have Passion Fruit Tisane.

Ordered one pot and each sip is as satisfying as the next. Aromatic and fruity. This is the best after meal tea.

I've been to Lucca twice but I've never tried their pastries. I've heard good stuff about their 5 layer chocolate cake. I am not a chocolate fan except for the ones with mint. We decided to have dessert after our late lunch at Alab. He is craving for chocolate cake, off we go to Lucca.

We ordered a pot of passion fruit tea and a slice of dem chocolate cake. We both liked the tea - tangy and refreshing. The cake is better than Wildflour's chocolate cake! Reasonably priced at 105, you get to taste perfection. The cake is moist and the icing has a chewy consistency and it is not overly sweet. They are not kidding when they saud it's five layers - tall and majestic.

Lucca is not only a bakery they also offer delicious meals like pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads, soups and all day breakfast. When it comes to pasta i order the shrimp ala chorizo. But sad to say it wasn't as good as i remember it but it was still delicious. I almost always order the Calamansi Passionmint. It's a refreshing drink. As you can see in the photo I ordered two for myself haha. It's hard to recommend a specific dish since they have a good assortment. For dessert though I recommend the 5-layer chocolate cake. Its to die for because its not too sweet, just the right taste. Plus they do 30% discounts on their pastries around 8-9 depends if it's thee weekday or weekend. #loolooexplorerpackgiveaway

The best chicken pesto pasta I've tried! I will definitely come back for their pastries and will try their cafe mocha since it's unavailable yesterday mehehe. They also offer 30% discount on their pastries an hour before closing. 128513

It might look so tempting & delicious in the picture but it really isn't. Their 5-Layer Chocolate Cake (P105) saved the day, or should I say, saved me from Diabetes! It's good and rich in chocolate flavor without being too sweet, unlike the other two that we tried. The Cheesecake (P110) & Chocolate Mousse were too sweet for my life. I never thought I could go ever go wrong with these cakes. I also remember how poor their service was! There weren't too many people when we visited but the service was already too slow. Almost everyone was behind the counter, we even heard someone playing COC from behind.

I'd still love to try something else from their menu, given the fact that they're highly rated here. But I'll probably order a take-out next time! 128522

This big ass chocolate cake worth around P110 is a must try and is enough to be shared by 2-3 persons. I'm a cake lover and I admit, I cannot finish all of it.

I was craving for some pasta dishes so I decided to drop by here. The place, located in UP Town Center, was pretty new and cute and like the other usual cafes you can check out in there, it gave off pretty cool Tumblr-ish vibes. 97869786

I forgot the exact name of the dish that I ordered but it had something to do with pesto which I'm an absolute sucker for. I wanted to check out their carbonara but decided to try something new at the last minute and had this instead. It was yum. I also ordered their special iced tea (which again, I forgot the name) and it was really good. Their menu was pretty limited though so on the bright side, it wouldn't be too hard to figure out what dish and drink I was referring to. 128518128516

Overall, I'd peg this as a pretty cool spot to have good long convos with friends and just chill out.

Went one late afternoon with some friends and, the place was packed. Surprisingly, the 'coffee shop talk' was not too much to stop you from concentrating from your own work- just the right kind of ambient noise we needed. Some tables, however, were just too small to fit our orders and our laptops at the same time, but that didn't stop us.

Ordered the 5-layer cake (!!!!!), some danishes and their lattés, which totally did not disappoint. The pastries and cakes had just the right amount of richness, moisture and sweetness. The coffee pairing was perfect.

Staff was also very accommodating in finding ways to get us seated despite having a full house.

Will be back soon for more 5-layer cake!

Ham with roast chicken on baked egg dipped bread makes for a fascinating carb and protein overload with healthy greens on the side plus some homemade jam as dessert to make this a complete meal. They call this the Monte Cristo sandwich. Good to share, add some pasta too.

*Late Post*

I've finally tried the most famous (based on reviews) cake of Lucca, the 5-layered chocolate cake. 9786

It might be a little too sweet for a dark chocolate, but I think it's fine and tolerable. The caramel fillings in between those layers tasted good, too! 128077

I'm just a little disappointed with the part that doesn't have the chocolate coating & caramel fillings. You can tell that the flour or baking powder used in it is chintzy; but what the heck?! It's only 105 pesos, so yeah, I'll stop complaining! 128513128541128517

I will go to their other branch in SM North Edsa one of these days to try their Monte Cristo sandwich naman as I read on the reviews that it's REALLY good. 128523

Anyways, will I still order their chocolate cake next time?

Uh...

YES! 128522128077128513

I'm craving for their 5-layer chocolate cake at the moment. Thus, the 4 stars rate. It's more on the dark chocolate taste because of its bittersweet yumminess. Fudgy caramel in between will make you want it more. So, if you're into chocolate cake hunting, or any cake for that matter, this one is a must try. 128525128076

Some friends and I decided to chill here while waiting for our turn at Casa Verde (there was a long line and we had to be waitlisted).

The staff were accommodating and helped us out with our orders. We got their lemon bar, a chocolate bar with marshmallows on top, red velvet+nutella in a glass bowl and a spinach-filled savory pastry. The prices seemed quite affordable. I wanted to try out their five layer cakes but I feared I would lose my appetite for dinner completely 128514

The one with marshmallows on top was sooo good. I also liked the red velvet/nutella mashup and they were surprisingly generous with the ingredients. The cream cheese top and nutella filling blended well with the cake base. The spinach-filled pastry was also good! However, I didn't enjoy the lemon bar that much. Maybe I'm a bit biased since I'm not really a superfan of citrus-y flavors.

After trying out their 5 layer chocolate cake (Php95), on to the favorite, red velvet cake! 5 layers too! For just Php125, it's definitely happiness overload! It's too big and sinful, I can't finish it alone. But it's definitely worth it! 128525128587🏻128076🏼
