Still my favorite Chinese restaurant. We celebrated my sister's birthday. We were surprised with their special promos and food bundles. To cap off the evening they gave complimentary desserts, Mochi with dessicated coconut. Yum.

Brought my mom here for dinner and fortunately, dad wasn't able to join us. Why? Well, more food for me and my mom! 128514

Went here on a Saturday night. I wasn't surprised to see a lot of people, mostly families since it was pretty much a payday weekend. We were asked to wait in the waiting area.

Good thing the wait was short! I was really hungry since I went to the gym that afternoon. 128170

Mom and I ordered their Steamed Pork XLB (Php228), Stewed Beef in a Clay Pot(Php390), Three Cup Chicken (Php320), and Golden Fried Rice w/ Shredded Pork (Php240).

I didn't really enjoy the Beef Stew in a Clay Pot since the meat was tough. It was mentioned in its description that it also has tendon, which I think the serving was overwhelming.

The Three Cup Chicken was pretty good! Meat was tender and it wasn't too dry. It still had juices in it when I took a bite - which what made it perfect!

Their Golden Fried rice is nothing out of the ordinary. But it was a huge serving, probably good for 2-3 people. Mom liked it #nothardtoplease 128514

The XLB was pretty good too! I liked the fact that it was served quickly when we got seated. It was warm, making it perfect for me to just dig in without worrying about getting my tongue burnt.

As for service, Lugang Cafe doesn't fall short. Servers were very attentive and helpful with dish recommendations.

One of the restaurants that I'd recommend to both friends and family. 128076

A must try is their specialty, siao long bao. Other items on the menu like the spring roll and fish head are also delicious. A little expensive, but worth it.

Too salty and too pricey for me 128586 The servers said servings were for 2-3 persons but when the food arrived, it looked like for 1-2 persons only. But nonetheless, the food was tasty. It's worth the try but no plans of coming back.

I love the food here! My favorite is the passion fruit tea, sweet and relaxing. Sip in with my sister's strawberry smoothie, yum! We ordered xiao long pao, three cup chicken, crispy/breaded prawns and steamed fish with crispy taosu. Lots of flavor, can't stop eating. We also tried the bellagio breeze and seems still to fit in to our full stomach.:)

The service, however, was bad. I was listed in line about 8:00 so that we can try feast all you can promo even though there are three tables still available. We went in at 9:00 pm (good thing that we were in a mall), and at the table, we were informed we cannot order the promo anymore because it is already 9:00 pm. There's a cut off! Some of the dishes in the menu are not available. One of our orders was served in the table next to is and when the waiter realized it was ours, he took the plate from the other table, temporarily put it in the preparation area and served it to ours even though one of the prawns is forked already by the other customer. When we were given a bowl for the breeze, the bowl is still oily, not washed properly! Good thing the food was great.

I've always wanted to try Lugang Café so I treated my parents here for our Mother's Day celebration. As expected, there's an extra long queue due to a special day but it's alright because the staff are very accommodating. I really love their posh interior and bright lights but I hate that tables are very near to each other and the place itself is quite noisy.

Okay, let's talk about the food now...

We initially ordered Roasted Meat Combination but everything under Roasting is no longer available. 128532 We decided to have Steamed Pork Xiao Long Bao, Kung Pao Cashew Chicken, Smoked Cumin Spare Ribs, Spicy Beef and Tendon Noodle Soup, Pineapple Fried Rice, Mango Passion Shake and for the dessert, Bellagio Breeze.

I'm not sure about how Xiao Long Bao should really taste like but for me it's very bland even with its sauce. An order has 8 pieces but we only ate 4 which speaks a lot. 128514

The Kung Pao Cashew Chicken and Smoked Cumin Spare Ribs taste good but you'll eventually get tired of eating it because the dish is so flavorful that a small serving would be enough. The Spare Ribs has a very strong taste which I think is jalapeño. As for the Spicy Beef and Tendon Noodle Soup, we loved it because it's not so salty and the quality of the noodles is superb!!! 128077

I think I only ordered Pineapple Fried Rice because it's cute. 127821128514 But I was so disappointed when the server told me they ran out of pineapple case so it will be put in an ordinary plate, so I said fine. 128557 The taste is just like any other fried rice but with a dash of sweetness.

The Mango Passion Shake is for my dad but I sipped just a little and I loved it because it's not sour and not too sweet either. And for the finale, dun dun dun duuun... BELLAGIO BREEEEEZE!!! I actually thought it's only good for 1 person but I was shocked when it arrived because it's huuuge and meant to be shared with 2-3 people! It was a tower of shaved ice covered in beans and nested in candied pineapple, mochi and tapioca and drenched with condensed milk.

Overall, I loved my experience in Lugang Cafe. You'll get what you paid for. 128521

Decided to pig out with my friends here at Lugang Cafe. There is a queue upon arriving but we were immediately given a table. We ordered the Crab Roe and Pork Xiao long bao, Shrimp Siomai, and Pork Xiao Long Bao for just our appetizer. We were 3 in the group btw. All of the food we ordered were delish especially the Crab Roe and Pork Xiao Long Bao. Then we ordered the Breaded Pork Chop, Crispy Fried Chicken, and the Spicy beef pepper? Loved the crispy chicken. Lastly for our dessert we ordered their Peanut Smoothie which was sooooooo yummmy! Good for the hot weather! Love love Chinese food. :)

Ordered the pork and shrimp siomai, crispy chicken, and tofu and pork claypot. Everything was good, just not spectacular. Some parts of the crispy chicken were dry. I liked the sauce of the tofu claypot though! And the siomai was not my type.. Maybe because I don't like Taiwanese dumplings in general? (not a huge fan of XLB 9996️). It tends to get a bit pricey here. Our bill was 1.3k for those three dishes.

Me, my bestfriend and her cousin ate at Lugang Café. It was our first-time eating at Lugang Café. We enjoyed the nice classy ambiance of the place. The price of the food is fine. And it is really good. We tried the pan fried gyoza, a chicken dish that I forgot what it was called and also the pepper squid which was really delicious! And my bessie tried their Cantonese milk tea.

Roasted Pork (middle), Oyster Omelette (top left), Pineapple Rice (top middle), Loofah and Shrimp Dumplings (right top) and Prawns with Oats (right bottom). Prawns were bland, didn't have a lot of oats and no sauce. Disappointing since shrimp should always be good. Dumplings were great. Never had it before and it was flavorful and wasn't too overpowering. Pineapple rice sucked so much for me. Pineapple in rice isn't a nice combination.
A little too sweet for me. Oyster omelette was delicious, went well with its sauce and didn't give me a stomachache. Roasted pork was the best out of everything. It is dipped with mustard and sugar and it actually works. Soft and crispy and the serving size is big. Satisfied my lunch that day.

Would I go back? With the family, of course. As a student, of course not. This place needs a lot og budget.

I've been trying the best places for Xiao Long Bao these past few months and Lugang Cafe's pork XLB is my 2nd best. 128077128536 with regards to the quality and price.

Their Three-Cup Chicken is so infused with flavor, not really into this kind of taste but for others it may go for 4 stars 128077

Lastly, their layered pork roast which was oddly, for me, served with mustard and sugar which surprisingly came out well. Really enjoyed the skin part of it, crispy and flavorful. But really nothing special all-in-all.

Servers were not nice but not bad either. So-so. They lack smiles though.

Unplanned dinner with a friend. She just arrived from the states, she message me at 5pm and I picked her up at Dapitan by 7pm. So, we just went to North Edsa, we saw Lugang Cafe and had dinner here. Haha

I like the place. Good lighting, so welcoming, good interiors and looks classy. Lol We were seated right away and ordered our food.

Steamed Veggie Xiao Long Bao. I'm not sure of the name but one thing for sure, it's veggie. Haha It's good, soft and so healthy.

Steamed Chocolate Xiao Long Bao. I'm surprised that it was so good! You can have it as dessert. The filling is rich, so chocolate-y and not to sweet. Best dish for the night.

Szechuan Dan-Dan Noodle with Peanut Sauce. I liked the way it was presented. The peanut sauce was actually good, it's a bit sweet and spicy and the noodles were perfect.

Spicy/Crispy Shrimp. I forgot the name and I couldn't find it on thw menu online. I think it's a new dish but we didn't liked it. Nothing special but boring.

Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie. It was ok. I should have tried their other drinks. Lol

Arabic Coffee. It was served to us in a fun way but it didn't work at all. A metal container filled with water was being heated using a portable stove and a tubing is connected from metal container to a glass where coffee grounds were placed. We don't know how it works bur according to the lady serving us, the water upon heating should go to the glass. They replaced the parts three times until we're done with our food and they're about to close. The staff apologized and were really sorry, so it was ok for us. The manager even approach us and insisted on having it work and to ne served to us. It was too late already so we had it cancelled.

The service was excellent and would come back again to try other dishes. It's pricey but worth it.

THE place to go to for Xiao Long Bao. Still good after several years, which is surprising since it's hard to keep the quality up with several chefs.

There are other dishes too which complement the meal, favorites are the hot pot dishes, the honey glazed squid, the salted egg beans.

They have desserts too and mixed juices which I guess are concoctions with some unique flavors. My favorite is the mango cranberry with pearls.

One of the places for a sure fire meal, if only the price was more reasonable!
