Craving authentic & great tasting Chinese/Taiwanese food? Lugang will not disappoint 128077🏼

Their XLB is really good! One of the best in the metro IMO, Even if the skin isn't thick, it still doesn't break easily, it's very tasty and really soupy inside 128523

Their menu is really extensive, so many dishes to choose from, some new dishes in there too, we had trouble picking out what to try 128514 Finally settled on the ff:

* Pineapple & Shrimp stuffed in Crullers 4/5
* Stir fried beef w/ chili peppers 5/5
* Vietnamese spring rolls 4/5
* String beans w/ salted egg (128072🏼 super yummy) 5/5
* Steamed Custard Egg w/ Clams 5/5 -128070🏼given that I love anything w/ eggs, this one was such a winner!
* Fresh Mango cubes on shaved ice 4/5

Food presentation was very good! Pricing a bit on the high side but well worth it. Service was a little slow tho, with dishes coming out one at a time 128528 Make sure to let them know if you want everything served at the same time.

Lu Gang is and will always be one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. I don't really have any complaints about the place. My all-time favorite dishes are their salted egg string beans, kung pao tofu, the beef in hotpot (sorry forgot what that was called), three cup chicken, cereal prawn, and of course, their famous XLB as well. They have friendly staff members and they serve food quite fast too! This place is definitely worth a try and believe me, you'll have a great dining experience

127860Three Cup Chicken: Still tasty just like the first time I had tried it. The meat was tender and juicy.

127860Roasted Duck: I finally got to try this one (yey)! Very succulent and perfectly goes well with its sauce.

127860Steamed Shrimp and Pork Shiao Mai: cute and yummy! But I still prefer Pork Xiao Long Bao it's definitely the best one for me.

127860Golden Fried Rice with Shredded Pork: Goes well with all of our orders. Superb!

127860Salt and Pepper Squid: I loved this one! Very tender. It was just really yummy I enjoyed savoring it. Haha!

127860Wanton Soup: This was the only food I didn't liked. I am not a "soup person" and I just didn't like how it tasted plus I am very slow when eating so the moment I ate it, it was already a bit cold. I should've ate it first 128517

I guess Lugang's now one of my favorite Taiwanese/Chinese restaurants 128522

The plan was to dine at DTF but the number of people waiting outside is off putting. Went to Linguini Fini but we both wanted rice so i dragged him to Lugang Cafe.

It is a busy Sunday service but we only waited for 20 seconds to get a seat. They have an efficient method of ensuring incoming customers are seated as soon as possible.

We ordered the following:

Shrimp and Crab Xiao Long Bao
Stir Fried String Beans with Salted Egg
Oyster Omelette
Golden Thingy Fried Rice

You wanna know what's funny, I've dined at Lugang countless times but this is the first time I've tried their XLB. You gotta hand it to the chef, the method on encasing the filling and the broth inside the wrapper is genius. The inside is moist and flavor and the outside is firm. He liked it, wow at first bite.

Who would've thought that you can add oysters in omelette. This is a breath of fresh air. Best paired with chile sauce and a spoonful of rice.

The beans is a staple whenever I dine at Lugang. My all time favourite veggie dish. He said that if all string beans are cooked this way, then everyone will start eating their leafy greens.

Dining at Lugang is always satisfying. This is one of those restaurants i always go back to.

A very classy and posh interior will welcome you at Lugang Cafe. Lugang Cafe is highly recommended as a date place or family gathering. The place itself aims to impress already!

Steamed Pork Xiao Long Bao (Php 248)
Also known as a “soup dumpling“, these wrapped goodness is something I’ll go crazy about! It may look like your usual steamed dumpling but the magic is when you place it in your mouth and the warm, flavorful soup slowly flow out of its dough. Hmmmm. So good!

Honey Garlic Squid (Php 320)
is one of Lugang’s bestseller and it did not disappoint. It resembles Lemon Chicken so much, right? But this one’s a treat, the squid was cooked well to my liking and the sweet and garlicky flavor on squid is something new to my taste.

Stir-fry Spinach (Php 270)
cooked with garlic, perfectly cooked, and perfectly balanced seasonings. So simple, yet not easy to get it just right, as here.

Be it brunch, lunch or dinner, indulge yourself in a delectable Chinese-Taiwanese feast! Bring in the whole family and friends for fun!

When I say this is my most favourite resto, I am not kidding, not one inch of it. I did ate here a couple of times A L O N E. Yes all by myself, and I don't care because I have to satisfy my cravings for this Taiwanese Fried Pork chop. Aside from xiao long bao, this is my standard order in Lugang Cafe plus steamed rice.

I can eat this entire plate all by myself ( no you don't get to judge a hungry woman 128514) and it only costs 180 pesos!!! Plus sf ofcourse.

I have heard so many people talking about this Lugang Cafe and I got recommendations from different people also, so I checked some reviews of it and most reviews have four to five stars. Most of them from what I saw ordered Xiao Long Bao. So I guess it's the bestseller among all dishes.

My sister and I went to Megamall yesterday, and as we arrived we felt suddenly hungry even though we just ate breakfast before leaving the house (what is wrong with our tummies 128553128514). As we were searching for a place to eat, she asked me if I wanted some Taiwanese/Chinese food and I said yes because I was having too much American/Filipino dishes lately and I needed a change of taste. And that was how we ended up having our lunch here.

I heard that this place is always jam packed, so if you want to dine here you have to wait first for any available table or if you are in big groups you have to make a reservation, but we were lucky enough because when we arrived there was already and available table for us. Or maybe it is just lunch time and most people prefer having dinner here.

I loved how the place looked classy and elegant although it was a bit crowded and the spaces allotted for people to walk through were a bit narrow, but it was okay because the interiors looked great! It is not like the other Chinese restaurants that look ancient. The walls and ceiling were made up of glass that complements well with the color of the restaurant and their furnitures looked modern. And this kind of stylish restaurant will give you a great dining experience.

The staff immediately approached and guided us to our table. The menu was already there, so you do not have to call someone and ask for the menu and that was just how I prefer it. Their menu consists of wide variety of dishes to choose from, so I had a hard time deciding. They all seemed to offer a unique and delicious taste!

Of course, we can not miss their famous Steamed Pork Xiao Long Bao, so we ordered one. Aside from the Steamed Pork, there are also other types of Xiao Long Bao. They have the one with the shrimp and pork (not sure if this is correct though), the one with the chocolate (and I am looking forward to taste this one because it is kind of different and I am so curious of how it would taste when I try it!!), and many many more (because I forgot the other options 128514).

We also ordered the Three Cup Chicken because I read that it is also a hit to many people and they really liked it. We also had the Golden Rice to pair it up with the two dishes.

And after choosing our orders, we waited.... And we waited... And we waited... 128514 Seriously!! It took more than thirty minutes before our orders were completed. I suggest that if you are really hungry and can not wait that long, this place is not recommended for you 128517

BUT it was worth the wait!!! We first tasted their Xiao Long Bao, and wow! I don't like it, I love love love it, oh oh 127926 It tasted really good! Very succulent and delectable. It really is a must try for everyone planning to dine in here. This is undoubtedly one of the best Xiao Long Baos ever! Two thumbs up for these dish 128077🏼128077🏼 And the price is fair enough for the eight little basket dumplings because it won't disappoint you. I have to eat it whole or else I would miss the feeling of the juice flowing inside my mouth when I bite it. For those who do not know about Xiao Long Bao, it is a steamed dumpling with minced pork or chicken or even shrimp wrapped in a flour skin. The flour skin is thin but strong enough to hold the minced pork and stock. 128522 so yeah.. 5/5 for this!!

Next is their house special, the Three Cup Chicken. It is small chunks of chicken chops so you have to be a bit patient because of its bones ( I wish it was boneless na lang para hindi na lang nakakabitin, I had to slice it pa 128557). It has Asian sauce that makes it tasty and savory with a little bit of sweet taste. I really loved this!!

Lastly, the Golden Rice. This is good for two to three persons, I guess? It is palatably to pair up with the chicken (for me) to neutralize their taste.

About the staffs, they were fast and approachable. You can ask them anything and they will serve you right away! You can request anything for your food or drink and they will do it just the way you asked for it. The only problem where is the serving time haha! It is already given na matagal talaga maserve yung orders, but at least, all of it was served to us freshly cooked and warm which makes it more yummy!

There were only the two of us and our total bill was 900. I saw on their menu that the food is subjected to 12% VAT and 10% for the service charge. Pricey but agreeably worth it. Maybe the budget per person is around 500-600. But it is okay because they have generous servings naman 128522

I ended up eating a lot! Yet all of their foods are worth every calorie! It is nice to spoil your tummy with these kind of food sometimes 128524128149

I definitely would love to go back to try their Roasted Duck and Shrimp Xiao Long Bao and Chocolate Xiao Long Bao. I also want to try the beverages and desserts! I was not able to try it because I was already full. I felt bloated! 128514

All in all, I had a really great and unique dining experience here. 128522128077🏼 Looking forward to more of this soon!!

Orders: Pork XiaoLongBao, Chocolate XiaoLongBao and Green Tea Smoothie

Paid a total of 850, fairly priced

Serving size was good. We were 4 who ate here for merienda and it was enough.

Pork XiaoLongBao is a classic. 128022128022128022128022128022Obviously, you come here to eat this dish!! Never gets old.

Chocolate XiaoLongBao. 127851127851127851127851127851Now, this is something new for me despite the many times I've eaten here. So the trick is to eat it as a whole so it explodes. They were like Mochis! Yum! Surely will come back for this good stuff

GreenTea Smoothie. 128154128154128154128154128154This was my first time trying this flavor. I usually get the Peanut Butter one which was another best seller. My friends were addicted to Matcha so they wanted to get this flavor. It really didnt disappoint. It was light and milky to the taste. Pretty good too.

Service was fast for the smoothie and pork xiaolongbao. No idea why the chocolate xiaolongbao took a bit of time. Maybe they were still making them fresh?

Nevertheless, I enjoyed the food here

While desserts are normally served cold, the sweet taro with tapioca is one of those that are best eaten while hot! Since I wasn't feeling well yesterday and needed something to cleanse the palate, this hot dessert was just right for the situation! 9786️ it would have been great if it was less sweet 128523

We were supposed to dine in at Tim Ho Wan but there were a lot of people that time so we went to Lugang instead.

XLB time with friends. 128513128522 pork xia long bao was good. Another must try is their 3 cup chicken.

The place can be intimidating and you might feel everything is expensive because the interiors were beautiful. But, it is affordable especially when you are going as a group. Meal servings can be shared by2-3 persona depending on their appetite. Heheh

We availed of their all-you-can eat promo for Php640net/pax. You get unlimited dimsum, soup, rice, vegetables and you get to choose 1 main dish.

What we liked:
- Vietnamese Egg Roll
- Garlic Pork Roll
- Oyster Tausi
- 3 Cup Chicken

Service was fast! Ambience was nice too, ok for lunch meetings, etc.

Too bad they didnt include dessert in the promo. Will come back and try other dishes.

Lugang Cafè was relatively empty when I dined here with my family. The usual buzz has finally died down as we got the chance to be seated at once without having to wait in line.

Ambiance is really nice, the interior feels luxurious. I recommend the Xiao long bao, kung pao chicken, and steamed fish fillet with crispy taoso. This crispy taoso is basically crisoy garlic, which tastes sweet. I liked it the best.
