Comfort food, but quite overrated. Most of their menu items are not available.

Nothing better for a cold afternoon than to get a bowl of hot lugaw.
After a drizzling cold walk around the Sampaloc Lake, Espie, Kandyce and I had to drop by Lugaw Queen before driving home. I think only Lugaw Queen serves the best, if not the most affordable lugaw in the area. At only P70, we were able to get two orders of hot lugaw with egg and drinks (we chose to have Gatorade for a quick recharge after the long walk!). Added P24 for 2 pcs of lumpia, our afternoon was complete.
It wasn't until our food was served that Espie realized from the posted ads on the wall that Lugaw Queen had been featured in Karen Davila's "My Puhunan" TV show for budding entrepreneurs. An original of San Pablo, Laguna, Lugaw Queen started with only P1,100 capital which the owner grew to attain a P50,000 daily sales. A familiar sight in Laguna, it's not surprising that Lugaw Queen already has already more than 10 branches around Luzon. This branch by Sampaloc Lake seem to be one of their newest. Who would've thought the saying "tubong lugaw" had been brought to reality and it started here in San Pablo!
I do wish they'd add more garlic (unli bawang like in most of the lugawans would be very nice). They also didn't have tokwa that time, which is a must for every lugawan. Put the tokwa in plus the unli bawang and this lugawan will soar higher! With that, I still think we'll be visiting this place more often. Nothing like hot lugaw for breakfast or merienda by the lakeshore.
