Lugawan Republic's Pilugaw is a hearty sticky bowl of rice and assorted mix ins. It reminds me of pancit luglog because of the orange color and the noodles. Loved the bowl and the comforting familiar feeling that this dish brings.

The Crispy Tofu was ok but the sauce wasn't to our liking so we requested for vinegar and soy sauce which tasted like Crispy Pata sauce!

The servers weren't attentive and sadly their service water tasted like Sago Gulaman.

I'm sure we'll be back for the Pilugaw especially since all 4 of us and downed one bowl each.

Uhm. First time I ate viscous lugaw. I'm used to the flowy kind. 60pesos for the plain + 20 minimum for additional topping. It's sad that the plain only has 1-2 quail eggs.

After The Avengers 2 movie, my friends decided to eat at Lugawan Republic. I have tasted their lugaw once when my housemate bought a take out but this was my first time to try the place.

Of course I ordered their best seller - the Pilo-gaw. Dunno why it was called that way but the lugaw did not disappoint. It was heaped with basic lugw ingredients such as tripe, quail eggs, garlic and spring onions but the sotanghon added to it made the difference. Yet I think next time I would choose the basic lugaw more and add some ingredients instead. The pilo-gaw was a blast, it's just that I'm not a big fan of sotanghon. Plus basic lugaw has a bigger serving.

Nothing beats Pinoy food!

Ordered the Pilo-Lugaw which is their best seller and it did not disappoint. 128077

However, the lugaw has small shrimps in it which I am deathly allergic. It was an oversight in my part to ask if there was any shrimps in the Lugaw. Maybe that's why it was so good.

Its Pilo-Gaw... :) lugaw xa n parang may palabok kasi may sotanghon sya tpos chicken at quail egg medyo mahal sya pero i think ok naman for 95 pesos... Mabilis din yung service kaso hnd ko lang alam kung bakit yung water nila lasang buko! Madami din kumakain pero may 2nd floor naman sila so carry naman kung madami kyo problema lang ang parking!

Went here with my friend who happens to crave for lugaw at 5 in the morning. Well basically we are together the night before and as a finale to our bonding time we ended up searching for a place that is open for 24 hours and is serving porridge. The place is neat and simple. Their serving for one is already good for sharing but since we are really hungry we finished our seperate order until the very last drop. 128516 It's not a traditional lugaw they have something on it pa.. Intriguing ey? 128513

After going to the hospital, we were brought here by my cousin for lunch. Their service was very fast. Food was delicious too, even my four year old enjoyed the food as much as we did. We ordered fresh shrimp dumplings, tokwa't baboy, and their best seller Pilugaw. Serving was large, very worth the price. Down side is, based from how it looks from the outside (also inside) I really wouldn't initially opt to eat here hadn't my cousin said so. It looks so badly maintained.

Goto Hell with their crispy tokwa't biboy leaves me drooling at any given time. When I swore I'll turn my back on rice, here come's this gigantic bowl of rice porridge and in a snap I am back to my love-hate relationship with rice. Yeah, it's this good.

My bestfriend wanted to try this out but i didnt because the look of the place from the outside was not that appetizing. Looks dirty. Sorry! 999699969996

We ordered "goto hell". As the name implies, it should be hot as hell. 128520128520128520 it was ok for a 90 pesos meal. The serving was big enough to fill my tumm and was spicy enough. It was served with "twalya".

Banana con yelo craving satisfied by Lugaw Republic tonight. Serving good enough to fill a hungry tummy, considering it's only P75. I love the sweetness of the milk. :)
The place isn't impressive but I will definitely go back for the foot and lumping togue.
