Luk Foo is one of those Chinese restaurants I wouldn't really have in mind to plan to dine in, but when we end up doing so, I really love each and every dining experience!

I'm not a big fan of Chinese food, but this joint I like. I had dinner here with my parents and we just ordered some typical items. They have quite a spread on their menu but we ended up with those we already know tasted great.

We started our meal with the Hot and Sour Soup. Always a family favorite, their version is rich in flavor and the components of the soup was just great. The spice was just right going very well with the sour flavor and the texture of the soup is always consistent.

The Salt and Pepper Squid is always a hit because the guys who run the place know how to honor a squid's natural texture. They don't kill it with too much heat and it's not rubbery at all, plus the seasoning is absolutely perfect!

The Prawn Balls were huge and very delicious! I could taste the shrimp, for sure unlike some other Chinese restaurants with just processed shrimp balls.

Their Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables had a mild oyster flavor and it was absolutely delicious. And the Yang Chow Fried Rice put the whole meal together.

Will definitely come back with my family! (^^,)

I must confess that this is only the second time I have eaten at Luk Foo! But no regrets!128522

On a very rainy Saturday night, I decided to pass on going to a Christmas party... EOTW LEVEL re: rain!!! So my bf picked me up and I asked to eat somewhere which serves soup! I actually suggested Luk Foo as I see it whenever I pass by Commonwealth Ave... (duh) I was pretty curious!128513

So we ascended a steep incline and had no trouble parking because there were slots reserved for the restaurant patrons... We were seated on a booth and even before we were handed the menu, my bf was like-- Luk Foo fried rice... Ummm, okay, must be good as he was so insistent about it... LF fried rice it is!!! But soup didn't go with it, so I decided to forego the soup and let the bf choose... He wanted the salt and pepper spare ribs...

As my bf obviously has great taste (128521), I sat back and waited for the food to be served... He was right! The LF fried rice was good! Lechon macau, breaded shrimp, chicken and broccoli sat on top of the rice... There was peanuts, veggies and shrimp mixed in... The salt and pepper spare ribs went well with it... I enjoyed the meal and would gladly come back!128515 Service was quick and okay... No complaints!128522

lunch at luk foo: peking duck cooked 3 ways+spinach soup+beef broccoli+masachi

i think i should stop reading looloo reviews. here's how it goes: i review the duck confit & then someone mentions peking duck & then of course someone recommends luk foo's peking duck & then i crave peking duck & so here we are.

luk foo's peking duck has always been a favorite especially when cooked 3 ways. i particularly like the salt & pepper version. of course the duck skin wrapped with leeks & sauce is outstanding. what's nice about this resto is you can enjoy quality chinese food without breaking the bank.

I was invited by my friend for a dinner treat c/o their family friend from Pfizer. First time to try the foods here and everything served were all good. I cant recall all the name but my most favorite was one of the "three way served Peking duck". The wrapped crispy skin with a few slices of veggies on it! I could eat it while watching, or facebook-ing, or studying (again?! Nah just kidding!) hihi!

Food is great!

Service is not that good since the yangchow came too early with the sweet and sour
Then the other food came too late....
Well, long wait is worth it!
I like their patatim!
Not a fan of it but i liked their version.
Basta, masarap lahat ng food!

That's why sobrang busog ako after having our lunch here'..

Thanks sa sponsor ng lunch - jasmine grace go baptism :)

Good Chinese food for a typical Sunday brunch with the family. Very Chinese, la. We were all stuffed after the meal and even had leftovers. 128522 I think theirs is not the best Pata Tim but it was still good.

Luk foo... Ahhh... Yes... missing this chinese restaurant... This is actually our fave restaurant.. Every time we have a family gathering before, this the place where we use to bond... But since everybody is already too busy with work.. We don't have time anymore to eat here.. But thankfully, after 2 years.. :o We were able to find time to come back to this simple but great place... Yay! We love the food here specially the spinach soup, salt and pepper squid, pancit, yang chow and beef broccoli... But really their spinach soup is a MUST TRY! Price, definitely at a reasonable price... =)
