Luyong is one of the staple Chinese Restaurants in Marikina. He said this joint been around for quite sometime and they have a couple of branches in the city.

We had lunch here a couple of time. First was when i was weally weally hungry and he suggested Chinese. I cant make sound decisions when my stomach is grumbling.

Off we go to Luyong. First, do not expect a grandiose chinese themed restaurant adorned with chinese artifacts. This is more of an air-conditioned carinderia. The wait staff has a pen and pieces of paper to take orders and the menu is straightforward. We ordered beef with brocolli, yang chow and shanghai. The service was lighting fast. I got my dirty hands of the yang chow in seconds.

The food is seasoned well and they offer big servings. The shanghai is delicious, i can't stop eating 'em. The ratio of the filling vs. the wrapper is perfect. You get to taste the concontion of ground beef and veggies and not just the deep fried lumpia wrapper. The beef with broccoli ia equally delicious, same with the rice. Suffice to say that I was happy with our meal.

They have maintained a cult following with the locals, the restaurant was full during our visit. No wonder they can afford to cease operations during siesta hours. Luyong offers good food at an affordable price. Perfect place to nurse third world hunger and Chinese cravings.

i love pancit.

did take out 2 types of pancit earlier.

bihon with shrimps was okay. lechon bits were evident. shrimps were plenty but small. had to add p60 for them so i was expecting a bit more.

crispy pancit canton with lechon (plus P30 for the lechon) was the better pancit. the separate sauce of the crispy pancit was like chopseuy with big lechon chunks. the noodles was fried perfectly. though naumay din ako after a few bites.

food was not salty.

servers were friendly and accomodating.

My family has been such a loyal customer ever since! A lot has changed however from the portions to the price. I must say though the quality hasn't changed. I will forever love their Fried Rice, Shanghai, and Camaron Rebusado. 128077

The best pansit con lechon I have ever tasted. Big portions that are priced reasonably. Definitely a must try if you are in Marikina.

If there's one resto who truly tested my patience, this would be it.

I usually order from Luyong San Mateo but for some reason no one's answering their phone so I opted for this branch instead. Called around 11:15am for delivery and guess what time our food arrived: 1:13pm! 128122

When I called to follow up my order, they said they're still cooking it because there was an influx of dine in orders. The second time I called was when the waiting time hit the 1hour mark. They said they're just waiting for the delivery guy. I gave instructions for them to prepare change but to my dismay, they didn't bring any. Double grrrr!

They had the audacity to charge P40 for delivery. Wow, kapaaaal!

As expected, the lechon kawali is already cold. The mixed vegetable is just one blob of lukewarm veggies.

Totally stressed for the past weeks!! After my daughter Adelheid L diagnosed with dengue and was hospitalized I got a trauma! It's not a good experience 128532

When she came from school she looks weak, they have swimming lessons pala and oh no !!

Went again to the hospital and I'm so sick and tired that our family is always sick and tired of all of these!

Then end up dinner here and the servings was too little and paid 1,000 plus!

It was not a good day today ! I really had a bad day so I gave 2 stars

Marikina's answer to chinese food. A fusion of chinese food with a twist of pinoy. Grew up eating here and hands down my favorite comfort food from pancit bihon, tofu con lechon, hototai soup and stir fried dishes. Must try their popular spring rolls and torta! No wifi, with plenty of parking and security is available.
