Tha grilled tuna was ok nothing spectacular...and the kinilaw was fresh. I guess people go tgere for the food and because they say it's the original kinilaw place in Davao City.

Visit to davao is not complete without eating at Luz kinilaw. That grilled tuna panga that is so tasty up to the bone. On the side fresh tuna kinilaw. Simple place with great food.

So Luz Kinilaw burned down a few months back .....
Guess what ?, it's up again !
Panga - the staple here , still ok. But not as good as I remember, a little dry
Kinilaw - just ok
Halaan soup ++++ :-)
Sinugbang nokus (pusit) - big but a little dry and slready rubbery
Bagaybay - juicy , my companions loved it but since i don't really like bagsybay , i prefer Bihod , just ok .

When in Davao go to this place! 128077

Well its no beautiful restaurant or eatery rather. The place looks so old but ever since I tried it out (been here like 3-4 times) we always come back!

At first you might think that their food are expensive (talking about their grilles stuff) for a provincial kainan but when you get to see the servings and quality, sobrang sulit!

We ordered grilled tuna belly and squid, tuna sinigang and of course kinilaw + 2 plates of rice and coke! 10084️ Useful tip: end your meal with coke, sobrang sarap (since medyo mainit ung wrather sa Davao kaya perfect)! 128540128077

I think our bill was around P800, not bad at all di pa namen naubos ung soup and tuna belly sa dami.

You know how important ambience is to me, i always notice the interior, details etc. I must say, though this one is different and old, it has so much character that whenever we eat here we're always having fun, like all we think is ang sarap sarap kumaen at magkwentuhan lang. 128077128522

One of Davao's secrets, this place may not have a classy surroundings but the food is excellent. The kinilaw is tasty and fresh. Their grilled tuna jaw is cooked to perfection, and melts in your mouth.

If you don't care much about the ambiance like i do, and you have ample patience to wait (they're always full so waitresses can sometimes ignore you) you'll love this place. The tuna panga and the fish egg is to die for! Plus, you can also buy fresh durian from the walking vendors outside --- but that's another story. 128077128077128076128540
