They have a well maintained smoking area. Not like that sad excuse of a smoking lounge in Terminal 3

Mactan-Cebu, although smaller, has a few leaps over NAIA 3. The first thing I noticed is that they have scanners for checking the boarding pass which is more efficient compared to the manual checking done in Manila. Restrooms are a lot cleaner as well. Wifi is fast although you do need to reconnect after a few minutes.

They have plans to open another terminal here which brings high hopes to the locals since the plans seem promising.

They also have several local pasalubong centers, foreign stores and a small duty free stall inside the airport. There are only a few restaurants available. Jollibee, Zubuchon, Dunkin Donuts, Cinnabon, Bo's coffee, Seattle's best, Starbucks, and Missy bon bon to name a few. There are also water fountains scattered inside the airport so don't feel obliged to buy bottled water.

Areas for improvement include decluttering the area. Everything seems to be arranged so closely with one another that it looks and feels crowded. I hope they can mitigate this issue once the new terminal is open. Also, chairs per gate are not enough to accommodate the passengers. You can see some people sitting on the floor while waiting. Also, they may want to add more self service check in centers for those who prefer to check in by themselves.

A bad experience for me is that some of the airport staff are rude. They are not very accommodating when it comes to the need of the passengers. Or is this just at the domestic side? Not sure about that but I hope they aren't as rude when talking to foreigners since we do need tourists. Regardless, they should treat people better. Respect please. 128548

Mactan-Cebu International Airport seems like a better airport compared to the ones in Manila. For one, it is cooler here plus the restrooms are nice and clean.

It now has Electronic gates where passengers get to scan their own boarding pass, which lessens the clog. And there are several x-ray lanes that accommodates both domestic and international travelers.

Like the NAIA airports, they can add more seats to accomodate waiting passengers. However, their seats are new and more comfortable.

There's also a selection of restaurants inside like Jollibee, Zubuchon and Dunkin' Donuts to name a few. As well as a mini Duty Free kiosk that sells chocolates and perfumes.

What they can improve on would be maintaining the cleanliness of the waiting area as some passengers leave their trash on the seats and tables.

I hope the Manila airports can also upgrade to something like this.

Better than NAIA TERMINAL 3 in my opinion. Aircon works and the smart wifi is fast! :D perfect time to backup your vacation photos to the cloud while waiting for your flight.

I think smart wifi is unlimited while globe isn't. I didn't bother trying to connect to globe since it prompted me to login using facebook before i had access to the internet.

This airport is relatively small for an international airport. Unlike NAIA, you will be welcomed by a variey of pasalubong stores upon entering. Restrooms are easy access too because it is near the entrance and the exit.

The waiting area is surrounded by a mix of food places and retail shops. The food places to choose from are very limited and most of them close around 9 or 10 in the evening. So if you have a flight past those hours, try to eat something before going to the airport.

Spacious place to hang around while you wait for your flight. Parts of the airport have industrial air conditioners blowing right at you so it can get cold at times. This is definitely one of the bigger airports I've flown out of in the Philippines aside from the Manila area.

They've improved their airport by expanding the checkin counters. Also they have an automated barcode reader to read your boarding pass.

More food choices too. Some parts doesn't have a working ac though.

One of my favorite airports in PH. Especially since there is a huge selection of good eats within pre-departure, including Zubuchon, Crave Burger, and Bo's Coffee.

The last time I passed through was for an early evening flight at the end of a day trip for work - never doing that again if I had to choose, too tiring! A lot of people waiting for delayed flights, but enough seats still. Before this trip, I had a nightmarish wait at the check in due to PAL systems going down a few years ago. That time, the airport waiting area was so full.

Good airport though quite a bit of distance from Cebu City proper esp with the traffic due to bridge construction. What I love about it is the Tablea shop inside the waiting area - they have a small space where j can hide from the crowd and drink yummy hot chocolate. Plus it's near the clean CR

Almost similar to NAIA's. I liked that they are stricter here when checking baggage and are more organized. AirAsia doesn't have Check-in Kiosk here. Or I just didn't notice? They also have Starbucks inside while food and pasalubong stalls at the boarding are. They have Zubuchon which I will be trying for lunch (though we have meal with our booking) and Bo's coffee. As long as there is coffee, everything is smooth. Can't believe our 3 day vacay is over!!! Huhu. Waaaah. Anyway, can't wait to share photos with you for my Bohol-Cebu getaway with my fambam!

EDIT: Waiting for almost an hour now at the boarding are and we are now starting to feel the heat. 128543128543128543

Arrival. It was fun. We made our exit to the rear door and walah, hello to my possible future workplace (pero mas gusto ko po sa flight deck). The staffs were greeting us in cebuano and their smiles are contagious. Hihi. We waited for about thirty minutes for the reclaim of luggages.

Departure. Ground attendants and assistants are approachable. Upon drop off from our van, a crew already told us the things that could bring hassle to us. Good job, kuya. At least we had a smooth check-in. We were moved to an earlier flight because we were informed that the 1715 flight will be an hour delayed. Ayaw na namin ng delay so we hopped on to the 1540 flight.

The airport is small. And the stores aren't really that big enough to accommodate the costumers. Ang hirap din gumalaw kasi parang ang liit ng space.

With so many people waiting and seats are so closely spaced. The domestic departure area feels so "crammed".

Looks like the priority is to put more and bigger stores...

I understand guards need to be strict but they don't need to shout. I was really frustrated with one of the female guards because she stopped me when I was helping my dad put our luggages on the baggage scanner. (Mabibigat kasi.)

"Ano ba sir isa isa lang po."

So I said, "Ate can't you see I'm helping lang sa paglagay ng bagahe?"

Sobrang nainis ako. But anyway, after we checked in - My heart or maybe my stomach smiled a little... There was Dunkin, Jollibee and Zubuchon inside. 128525 (3 stars for these 3. Chos!)

I just had to buy Jolly Hotdog, Chicharon, Choco honey-dipped donut and Icy choco to compensate for my inis that night. 128522 Felt better after. Haha.

PS: Don't buy from then stores before the check-in counters. Sobrang OA mga presyo. Mas ok sa Dunkin and Jollibee. Halos same lang. 128522
