I personally find it very hard to say no to really good steak that does not wear a very big hole in my wallet. I have two go-to places here in the Diliman/Katipunan area but I was feeling rather lazy to go to the inside the Quezon Memorial Circle. So yep, I ended up at Mad Mark’s again, ordering the Signature Steak (Php 265)… again. Hahaha. It really never fails to make me happy. Haha

I always have mine cooked medium rare and plus points to Mad Mark’s for cooking the steak right. The steak itself is of satisfying size and is really tender and flavorful, especially with the charring from the grill. For the sauce, the Boot Strap Steak Sauce is what I go for since it goes with the meat really well. On its own, the sauce is slightly tangy and very tasty.

For the two free sides that come with the steak, I always go for the Bacon Potato salad and plain rice. My very matakaw self would love even more rice to go with my steak but a bacon potato salad is also usually hard to say no to. Though what I’ve noticed from the many times I’ve eaten here is that the salad isn’t always consistent. Sometimes the bacon makes an appearance on the plate, sometimes it’s MIA.

Writing this review’s making me crave for the steak again 128557 So, yeah, I will probably be back here again very soon. Haha. 128518 I’ll probably order a scoop of ice cream to go with my meal since it’s been a long time since I last had a Mad Mark’s ice cream.

Hello creamy ice cream!

We got the Double serving (Php160). You can choose 2-4 flavors and it's good for 2 people or more.

The flavors we tried: Matchawaited, Walnut Cinnamon, Roasted Pecan and Half Baked Madagascar. The only flavor I didn't like was the 2nd one. 128517

Greeted by their delighted staff and crews upon entrance is already a 5 star. The country themed interiors gives the cozy feels.. Read reviews about how big their servings are so we are ready to be fat as a tick..

Got their signature steak, cooked medium rare. Meat was juicy and grilled to perfection. Intensified the taste of the meat with their homemade boots strap steak sauce (sweet bbq sauce), partnered with their mash potato with buttered corn and carrots - everything is hunky-dory in one plate.

Creole Grilled Chicken was grilled just right, they served a generous portion of the chicken topped with cubed onions and bell peppers. Chicken was easy to chew and even without the dip, the flavor will fit to your liking.

Their fried yard bird classic is a chicken finger dish with rice and house salad. deep fried chicken was crispy, cheesy and juicy too.

Zing wings will be their version of their buffalo wings. Though the meat was tender, didnt like the strong taste of what i thought was their sriracha sauce covering the entire chicken wings. Not a fan of spicy food.

Their lazy pork ribs which they said to be one of their best selling sandwich was not a turn down after all.. they coined their buns "man sandwiches" probably because the servings are fit for a king. the bun was i thought deep fried hence giving you a crunchy crust and soft inner bread which absorbs the flavor of the juicy meat and the mustard spread.

And for dessert, we got their home made creamy ice creams.. Ordered their best selling half baked madagascar, javan hot chocolate and choco on choco.. all were delectable. Their half baked madagascar ice cream is made from half baked cookie dough and madagascar vanilla ice cream. Javan Hot Choco is a concoction of rich and creamy dark chocolate. Choco on choco on the other hand was for my kids to taste.

I was mulling over whether to give this a 4 star review because the food is good or a 2 star review because of a sight that I'd love not to see again. So I settled for a 3 instead lol

I had the Signature Steak again. Cooked medium rare with bacon potato salad, plain rice, and boot strap sauce. Still really good, although the steak wasn't as tender as the one I had the last time I was here.

Now that's out of the way, let's move on to the reason why I considered giving this place a 2 star review. You see, a tiny little mouse somehow found its way to the dining area. I thought it was a cockroach at first but I realized it was a bit too big for a cockroach.

Though I admit I wouldn't know how to deal with it if I was the server, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't stomp on the mouse and kill it right where everyone can see. 'Cause that's what the server did while she screamed her lungs out.

So there was the poor, flattened, dead little mouse on the floor. It's surely not something I needed nor wanted to see while eating my steak. Maybe it's just me or what but it wasn't something I felt comfortable witnessing.

I was craving for steak and Mad Mark's is the closest place I know where I can get one without having to empty my wallet down to the last Peso lol

I was extremely pleased when I was given the menu. It has a new, more organized look now. I'm not sure if new dishes have been added but at least it wasn't like before na nakakawalang gana basahin.

I ordered the steak and for two sides, I chose rice and bacon potato salad. For my sauce, I chose the boot strap steak sauce.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from my order since in the past, I always got messy looking plates that looked like everything was just piled on it.

When my steak arrived, lo and behold... There was an improvement in presentation so plus points to Mad Mark's!

I asked for a medium rare steak and that's what I received. Really tender. The sauce was sweet and tangy. The potato salad was good though I wish there was a bit more of the rice.

Overall, I think Mad Mark's did a fantastic job of redeeming itself.

Remember the time when 8 cuts offered 88peso burger deal? We ended up here because of the long line!

The place is a little homey. Wooden tables with some couch. I have long heard about its good desserts, but that time we were just up for a meal, and i think it did not fail to give us one.

This is a combination of salmon and garden salad. Our experience was not the freshest salmon served. Boss even saw dark colored salmin. Although masarap naman yuhg dressing and salad.

I like this one it's a little rare in the middle but everything's fine. The fries that goes with it tastes good with its barbecue flavor. This meal alone could not satiate my hunger though.

My request fir a medium rare was granted; i just don't like the fat portions i remember i had to spit it out. The sauce that i chose was really smoky barbecue and delicious.

We had a little difficulty with calling the servers, i think they were understaffed that moment because some of the servers were having their lunch as well, nonetheless when we were approached by the server, everything went smoothly already. Too bad I was not able to try their ice cream. May be next time.

I almost about my recent visit at Mad Marks.  Anyway,  i was waiting for CMA to arrice and i decided to kill time at Mad Marks.  I was dead set on getting the Half Baked Madagascar when i remembered their IG post a couple of days back.

They now offer Green Tea ice cream! Woo-hoo.  Yes,  i have Lisbeth Salander's memory when it comes to green tea.  I got two scoops,  i paired my green hued frozen treat with half baked.  The green tea flavor is very subtle,  i can barely taste it.  I guess,  i paired it with the wrong flavor and i inadvertently drowned the chlorophyll in all the half baked.  Apart from my odd pairings,  the texrure of the ice cream is on point - creamy and smooth consistency. And oh, Half Baked is still as awesome as i remember.

Oh well,  i guess i have to visit 'em again.  I promise I'll set aside my compulsions with odd pairings.

Still the best steak under 400php for me! Perfectly tender and cooked. Love the bootstrap sauce too-it has a good balance of sour and fruity.

Service was generally okay but a bit slow. They were very nice and helpful but a bit slow. I had the rosted pecan ice cream... it was the only thing I liked about the place aside from the ambience.

The house iced tea wasn't bad but it was just like any other iced tea.

My greatest disappointment was the steak. One word: LITID. Gummy steak is no fun to eat. I asked it to be medium well and it was not completely done that way but I ate it na din. The bootstrap sauce was just tangy (more than sweet and tangy). Maybe I should've tried the Johnny black smokey sauce instead, but my waitress said bootstrap was recommended. I asked for a slice of butter to comfort me as I ate the poorly seasoned mixed veggie rice. Waste of a side dish :( The broccoli and carrots were okay.

The sauce on the plate was better than the bootstrap sauce on the little cup that came with the plate. They should just stick with that sauce. Do one and do it well versus a variety of choices that don't stand out.

Guess Mark should've stuck with ice cream.

Sunday brunch with my girl friends in Mad Mark's. The steak is still good but they need to take care of the consistency of their cooking. Asked for medium rare and it came to my table almost well done. Still good though.

Guys here know how to cook good steak! Got my usual medium-rare with vegetables and smashed potato.

Tried something new today. Ordered japanese fried brocoli as an app. Good concept, but the breading was too salty. They also used old oil. Nithing worse than old oil. Sayang, this dish had potential.

Good food (steak) and good service as usual.

Mad Mark's Signature Steak is my favourite steak under 500! I just love how they get it perfectly medium-rare every single time.

The meat is half an inch thick, juicy, and is constantly cooked to your liking. The meal costs 360php, and comes with your choice of two sides and a sauce. More often than not i pair my steak with smashed potatoes and vegetables. Sobrang sulit!

Another 'must order' is their version of Mojos: Fat Chips. You can not go wrong with spiced fried potatos and tangy ranch dipping sauce.

It's been a while since I had Mad Mark's (though not that long) and I already couldn't recognize their menu. It seems that they had more appetizers and less of the main dishes. For the sweet tooth out there, I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that they've added more ice cream flavors too!

We got Korean Fries for our appetizer but it was served together with the rest of our orders. The fries had Korean beef slices, onion slices, and melted mozarella cheese on top. The beef was delicious and the melted cheese went so well with it. I just had a bit of the umay feeling in the middle probably because I mixed it with the other dishes. For the main dish, we ordered their Signature Steak and had Bacon Potato Salad and Plain Rice as our side dishes. We requested that the steak be cooked medium and we weren't disappointed. The steak wasn't hard to slice and chew too while the potato salad tasted good. Lastly, we got their Large Milkshake (I think the ice cream flavor was half-baked madagascar or vanilla) which was neatly and creatively presented with chocolate sprinkes, hardened chocolate syrup and a cherry on top. The milkshake was thick and filling. It was just weird that there was some chocolate syrup on the glass handle, making it hard to hold and touch.

Dinner with my husband at Mad Mark's 128004 been wanting to dine here for a while but never had the chance until now! I had their signature steak while Oliver had the black ribs. Both came with two side dishes. The ribs are just okay but I want go rave about the steak. For three hundred pesos, you get a USDA steak 128076🏼 they will ask for the doneness and I had mine medium rare because I'm scared they will overcook it. But oh look at that pink center!!! 100841008410084️ Love. Ette. 1108811088110881108811088

JAVAN HOT CHOCOLATE IS HEAVEN ON EARTH!!! Go & try it & be blessed!

The half-baked Madagascar tasted okay. You can really taste the vanilla and the chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough.
