I almost about my recent visit at Mad Marks.  Anyway,  i was waiting for CMA to arrice and i decided to kill time at Mad Marks.  I was dead set on getting the Half Baked Madagascar when i remembered their IG post a couple of days back.

They now offer Green Tea ice cream! Woo-hoo.  Yes,  i have Lisbeth Salander's memory when it comes to green tea.  I got two scoops,  i paired my green hued frozen treat with half baked.  The green tea flavor is very subtle,  i can barely taste it.  I guess,  i paired it with the wrong flavor and i inadvertently drowned the chlorophyll in all the half baked.  Apart from my odd pairings,  the texrure of the ice cream is on point - creamy and smooth consistency. And oh, Half Baked is still as awesome as i remember.

Oh well,  i guess i have to visit 'em again.  I promise I'll set aside my compulsions with odd pairings.

Still the best steak under 400php for me! Perfectly tender and cooked. Love the bootstrap sauce too-it has a good balance of sour and fruity.

Service was generally okay but a bit slow. They were very nice and helpful but a bit slow. I had the rosted pecan ice cream... it was the only thing I liked about the place aside from the ambience.

The house iced tea wasn't bad but it was just like any other iced tea.

My greatest disappointment was the steak. One word: LITID. Gummy steak is no fun to eat. I asked it to be medium well and it was not completely done that way but I ate it na din. The bootstrap sauce was just tangy (more than sweet and tangy). Maybe I should've tried the Johnny black smokey sauce instead, but my waitress said bootstrap was recommended. I asked for a slice of butter to comfort me as I ate the poorly seasoned mixed veggie rice. Waste of a side dish :( The broccoli and carrots were okay.

The sauce on the plate was better than the bootstrap sauce on the little cup that came with the plate. They should just stick with that sauce. Do one and do it well versus a variety of choices that don't stand out.

Guess Mark should've stuck with ice cream.

Sunday brunch with my girl friends in Mad Mark's. The steak is still good but they need to take care of the consistency of their cooking. Asked for medium rare and it came to my table almost well done. Still good though.

Half-baked Madagascar will always make me happy. Plus one scoop of their Javan Hot chocolate won't hurt. 127846

P.S. Their brick wall is best for those IG and looloo worthy shots! 128247

Guys here know how to cook good steak! Got my usual medium-rare with vegetables and smashed potato.

Tried something new today. Ordered japanese fried brocoli as an app. Good concept, but the breading was too salty. They also used old oil. Nithing worse than old oil. Sayang, this dish had potential.

Good food (steak) and good service as usual.

Mad Mark's Signature Steak is my favourite steak under 500! I just love how they get it perfectly medium-rare every single time.

The meat is half an inch thick, juicy, and is constantly cooked to your liking. The meal costs 360php, and comes with your choice of two sides and a sauce. More often than not i pair my steak with smashed potatoes and vegetables. Sobrang sulit!

Another 'must order' is their version of Mojos: Fat Chips. You can not go wrong with spiced fried potatos and tangy ranch dipping sauce.

It's been a while since I had Mad Mark's (though not that long) and I already couldn't recognize their menu. It seems that they had more appetizers and less of the main dishes. For the sweet tooth out there, I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that they've added more ice cream flavors too!

We got Korean Fries for our appetizer but it was served together with the rest of our orders. The fries had Korean beef slices, onion slices, and melted mozarella cheese on top. The beef was delicious and the melted cheese went so well with it. I just had a bit of the umay feeling in the middle probably because I mixed it with the other dishes. For the main dish, we ordered their Signature Steak and had Bacon Potato Salad and Plain Rice as our side dishes. We requested that the steak be cooked medium and we weren't disappointed. The steak wasn't hard to slice and chew too while the potato salad tasted good. Lastly, we got their Large Milkshake (I think the ice cream flavor was half-baked madagascar or vanilla) which was neatly and creatively presented with chocolate sprinkes, hardened chocolate syrup and a cherry on top. The milkshake was thick and filling. It was just weird that there was some chocolate syrup on the glass handle, making it hard to hold and touch.

Dinner with my husband at Mad Mark's 128004 been wanting to dine here for a while but never had the chance until now! I had their signature steak while Oliver had the black ribs. Both came with two side dishes. The ribs are just okay but I want go rave about the steak. For three hundred pesos, you get a USDA steak 128076🏼 they will ask for the doneness and I had mine medium rare because I'm scared they will overcook it. But oh look at that pink center!!! 100841008410084️ Love. Ette. 1108811088110881108811088

JAVAN HOT CHOCOLATE IS HEAVEN ON EARTH!!! Go & try it & be blessed!

The half-baked Madagascar tasted okay. You can really taste the vanilla and the chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough.

The Philippines, especially during the intense and scorching summer, is the best place to eat ice cream! Mad Mark’s is stocked with a magnitude of nearly 20 diverse ice cream flavors. You are sure to find one to satisfy your palate. My all time favorite is the Half-Baked Madagascar but I make it a point to try a new one each time. If you’re worried that you might choose a wrong flavor, don’t worry! They offer unlimited free samples! (Just make sure that you don’t abuse your privilege HAHAHA). After a hearty lunch, I was looking forward to having a creamy, frosty delight! Unfortunately, nearly half of the ice cream flavors were not available :( What a letdown! I tried three different samples (Mint Chocolate, Banoreo, Walnut Cinnamon) but they weren’t really to my taste. I settled on my usual and safe choice, the Half-Baked Madagascar (P105, single scoop). The moment I tasted it, my resentment was instantly forgotten. Mad Mark’s is a definitely a fierce competitor in the ice cream business! Their ice cream are consistently smooth, rich and delightful.

Nate Diaz submitted McGregor...this calls for a celebration.  Although i didn't get to watch the fight,  i am still elated that Notorious lost.  Too cocky to move to 170,  got chocked on the second round.

Uhmmm,  sorry... I am a UFC fan.  Anyway,  Nate's win made us go to UPTC to grab some grub.  He said he wants meat,  i recommended Mad Marks.  We were not that hungry because we had brunch at Rustic.  We got some chips,  ribs and wings.

Chips was served first,  i was pleasantly surprised that the deep fried potatoes were seasoned perfectly.  I am not sure if they use panko and some other flavoring but the chips can be eaten sans ranch dip.   A couple of minutes after,  the cajun wings were served.  Nothing extraordinary,  the sauce was okay,  perfect mix of sweet and spicy.  Not spicy enough in my book.  The ribs were served shortly,  this was equally good.  Tender,  moist and flavorful.  The Johnny Walker Double Black sauce used did it's job in making the ribs sumptuous.

Mad Marks is a haven for affordable meals for the carnivores out there.

Finally got to try Mad Mark's Half-Baked Madagascar128539127846 It was good but I wasn't very much impressed. Maybe I'm just not fond of vanilla ice cream base. I still prefer my cookie dough ice cream from Coldstone (All Lovin' No Oven signature creation9757🏻️) although it's more expensive.

I also tried 2 other flavors:
127846Chocolate on Chocolate - I liked this better than the half-baked madagascar 'coz I love chocolate

127846Nut, Butter & Brownie - Imo, the best out of the 3 flavors I had. If you love Reese's peanut butter cups, you'll enjoy this one.

Single scoop is big, almost equivalent to 2 junior scoops of Baskin-Robbins kaya sulit128077🏻 Maybe I'll try their savory dishes & other ice cream flavors next time128522

After practically tasting all their flavors, we decided to get half baked madagascar, salted sumatra, roasted pecan and walnut cinnamon. It's creamy and our tastebuds were happy.

Single scoop is 95pesos.

Was curious about this place so we tried it. We ordered the Fat Chips for appetizer and wasn't that good for our taste. I then ordered the signature steak and my lovely wife had the fried yard bird. It was just right. Nothing spectacular. Then we ordered the chocolate on chocolate ice cream. Now after that, things just got better. Heavenly ice cream!

I was curious about this place for a while now. My family and I ate there this weekend and we tried the following:

- Party Wings in Johnnie Double Black Glaze
- Batavia Pasta with Breaded Fish Fillet (pictured above)
- Sirloin Steak Burger with Extra Fries
- Ice Cream: Half-Baked Madagascar and Chocolate on Chocolate

We were all satisfied with the meals we ate. I personally liked the Batavia Pasta because it reminded me of Yellow Cab's Charlie Chan Pasta but the somewhat runny(?) sauce suited the dish. The ice cream was okay in my book; I don't have a sweet tooth so maybe it didn't help.

Food took a while to be served. The staff were generally nice but were too few; it was hard to get their attention especially when the place was packed with groups of 4-6 people.

I will definitely return to try their Signature Steak next time.
