Met up with 3 of my high school friends here. We all loved the cosy interiors and good food. We ordered Speck (P550), Snapper (P720), White Pizza (P300), Sausage Platter (P450), Caesar Salad (P295), Vanilla Panna cotta ( P250) & Pistachio Mousse (P265). Speck and the Handmade Pizza White Bechamal with Quattro Formaggi was really good! Service was excellent.

Ambiance - no comfy feel
Service - the attendant not very familiar on how to answer my query. Example, when I asked what is their best seller, her reply was (blank face muna..) then "all on the menu ma'am"
Food - not bad but not something you'll crave for

I adore this place.

Perfect space - lighting, sound levels, comfortable. Great for special occasions. It's quiet, intimate yet not intimidating.

Service is terrific - friendly, accommodating, helpful and not pretentious.

Must Order: Speck, Steak (the rib eye will do), Pork Belly and Ravioli. Their bar food is also fun, sliders, shoestring fries and pizza. Special mention to their tiramisu which is the best I've had in this country.

Their drinks, during happy hour especially, are reasonably priced. You'd be surprised.

The place is small and formal. The waiter was very nice and accommodating. Food is good (i asked for the lamb shank). Ask for the meal/dessert of the day. :) Try their desserts! I would give 5 stars for excellent service, place and food but maybe it's just too expensive for me when I could cook them myself haha

If you like great food, prepared by pro Chef's and kitchen, good service, a bit of a fancy place and want it all in one place... Try Madison's.1108811088110881108811088

Went for dinner, the specials were great options. Ask for suggestions see what is not on the menu. 128521

The prosciutto filled with goat cheese as an entree was just amazing. Followed by mushroom cappuccino soup, very nice 9749️ Then pistachio crusted cod filet cooked just right and incredible seasoning 128032. Also in the picture is the lamb, very big serving. Great drinks and wine selection 127864. Dessert was custom for the bday 127856but the menu options all looked great.

Pricy and not casual enough, lots of people for business.

A bit cold inside and tables are tight. Outside is nice but if raining it will be bad. The view is terrible since it's just polluted busy street under construction.128679

Will need a reservation some days and some days looks empty. If you park at Edsa Shang valet, make sure you validate the tkt. You may get away with parking in front of the place. The place is hidden btw, out of the Hotel, where Fully Booked Library used to be.

Enjoy and review! 128523

Cheese and meat platter. You get to choose 2 types of meat and 2 types of cheese. We got the jamon serrano and chorizo for the meat. I think one of the cheese is manchego. I can't recall the other one. The platter also came with grilled bread and some marinated artichoke. We were here around 5 pm which is their happy hour so we got 50% off per glass of Genesis wines. We ended up paying just P85 per glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Must be why I'm having difficulty remembering what we ordered exactly.

Place has a sophisticated yet relaxed vibe. Seems like a nice place to just chill with friends after shopping at the nearby mall, away from the crowd.

Madison's Bistro Moderne now serves breakfast. Hefty servings of fine breakfast fare using their freshly homemade baked breads and own cured meats.

The place adds to one of the area's fine places where foodies can now enjoy good breakfast amidst a fine setting. Madison's Bistro has been open for some months now and has been visited by foodies for their fine lunch/dinner offerings. Recently they have started to offer breakfast to early birds.

The place truly evokes a sharp, clean and modern dining vibe. From their gray, white, and black interiors; a faux fireplace; minimalist yet modern chandeliers ; and tasteful comfy but limited indoor seating. A small fully stocked bar seating area. And more al-fresco seating quite appropriate for diners who would like to avail of their happy hour or al-fresco meal (Happy Hour is everyday from 3pm-8pm). Not only for their interiors , but I liked the fact that they were one of those few places that stuck to a somewhat fine table setting with their use of crisp white linens (yup, no paper napkins).

I liked that the place affords a more private setting than dining at the mall. Quite appropriate for business and private meals. They are located at the side of the EDSA Shangrila Hotel (the corner facing Shangrila Mall where Fully Booked use to be). They are just leasing the place and they are not under the hotel's F&B management. In a way, their interiors and location may give them an impression of being an expensive restaurant, but quite surprisingly, their pricing scheme is on the mid to high range.

This visit, we got their Eggs Benedict and Three Egg Frittata with a side order of their homemade bacon. We paired our meal with their fresh green mango juice and Latte.

We liked their Eggs Ben. Perfectly poached eggs with a nice creamy-buttery-lightly citrusy hollandaise sauce over buttered spinach. Served on their toasted home made English Muffins and wrapped with their homemade Prosciutto Cotto. I loved the texture of their English Muffins. Nicely chewy and dense with a good charred crust. The dough was mixed with cornmeal thereby giving the bread's crust a nice gritty texture which is how a good English muffin should be. The homemade Prosciutto Cotto was nicely lean and not cloyingly salty. Good and filling with the side salad tossed with vinaigrette dressing. Not bad for 350.

We loved their Three Egg Frittata. A huge serving of a savory mix of eggs, Swiss cheese, Prosciutto Cotto, spinach, and tomatoes. The side serving of Hash Browns were also delicious. Chopped fried potatoes topped with caramelized onions. The fresh baked toasted Brioche slices was likewise delicious. Nicely chewy with a nice gritty texture again from the cornmeal added to the dough. Not bad for 320.

We also loved our side order of their homemade Bacon. It was nicely crispy yet not shriveled. A good salty-sweet flavor. Even the fatty part was packed with the good flavor but not overwhelmingly oily.

Service was attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient. When we told their staff that we loved their cured meats, they invited and accompanied us to their own deli next door. So glad we obliged!

I'm a foodie who has an immense weakness for well-stocked delis. Madison's Deli surely made my day. Aside from their homemade breads, pastries, and cured meats, they also sold quality items sourced mostly internationally and some locally. Fine produce such as cheeses, pastas, truffle oils, truffle creams, coffee, spices, ChocNut Butter and other stuff that would surely make foodies' mouth-water. Perfect place for picking stuff for some home eating indulgence or for gourmet gifts. We ended up getting their home made bacon (same as what was served at their bistro), their homemade salmon gravlax , their Prosciutto Cotto, and a bottle of white truffle oil.

It was also good to note that they sold sandwiches at their deli. We were told their sandwiches were made from their fresh baked breads. Quite surprisingly, their sandwiches seemed to be priced rather affordably (ranging from 120-200). Since their deli had no dining area, customers were allowed to eat their sandwiches at the Bistro's dining area.

Their Breakfast selections are available Mon-Fri from 7am-11am and Sat-Sun from 7am-2pm (quite appropriate for weekend late risers).

While street parking may be a bit of a problem, diners may either park at the Shangrila Mall or better still park for free at the EDSA Shangrila Hotel (just be sure to get a parking pass from Madison's).

Will definitely come back for their breakfast offerings and deli goodies. Will also come back to try their regular menu offerings and their Happy Hour. We were told that their roasted bone marrow and speck with goat cheese salad was to die for. Their pasta offerings looked also delish.

Madison's Bistro Moderne comes highly recommended to foodies in search for a good, hefty breakfast amidst a fine setting in the area.

Prices are a bit on the steep side but food is good. It's a nice place for business meetings because it's quiet and never crowded.

Their deli also makes great sandwiches.

Madison's Bistro Moderne, the new dining spot opened by the same group of Bugsy's Bar & Bistro outside Edsa Shangri-la Hotel, makes an impression with its scheme of gray fine dining set-up. By the way it looks, I could say I am splurging here.
But what about the food? No matter how elegant the interiors look, you cannot make a mistake with the food. Am I right?

I totally forgot about the complimentary bread when Speck & Goat Cheese Mousse was presented to me. Fantastic starter! Rolled speck sandwiching an enough amount of goat cheese mousse gave me a delight I couldn't let go of. With the scent of truffle, apple mustard chutney and nuts on top was a boost of refreshment for my first bite of my Madison's Bistro Moderne experience. I had high expectations with the coming dishes after a taste of Speck & Goat Cheese Mousse. If you wanna see how it looks, check out www.thefoodscout.net

The killer of the night is the photo above, Roasted Bone Marrow. Served with toasted bread and salsa verde, this heart-attack plate is not for all. Sorry to disappoint you but I have to say it is deadly. Before heading to dessert, I just had to attack on this Roasted Bone Marrow, even just for a taste. Pace yourself ok? This is really deadly!
